Dragona Nightsky

It had been a LONG day...

"Calime, NO! Put that...Anarion! What'd I tell you about...Ailin, Iriden...just...would you...

SIT DOWN FOR FIVE MINUTES!"

Draggy rubbed her forehead. Now that her little wyrmlings were entering the draconic equivalant of their terrible twos, it was one headache after another! She could've just as soon gotten the chromatics and metallics to agree on something that didn't mean impending doom than to have gotten her four children to settle down!

"Gell!" she called, and her husband carefully cracked the door to his library -- sure, -he- could get a sanctum from all the ruckus -- and peered out.

"Yes dearest?"

"Five minute break?" she said, brushing her hair out of her face where it was coming loose from her ponytail. Luckily, he couldn't argue with that expression, and so with a gleeful yelp of joy the four clambored into his study. Let -him- deal with them getting into everything under the sun for a while!

She was just about to sit down in the 'kitchen' of their lair when a sound caught her noise, followed by a high pitched giggle. She rounded the corner and just had time to scream,
"NO!" before Calime, who seemed to be the ringleader of the four, snapped one of Gell's wands in half. There was a booming sound like a thousand firecrackers going off and smoke filled the room in an array of colors.

She coughed and sputtered, wafting her hand about in a vain effort to clear the smoky haze. Finally as it drifted away she saw a small shadow darting to the side and reached out to grab for its wrist.
"Calime, what have I..." the rest of the words died in her throat. It wasn't Calime. In fact, the poor fightened child ran off screaming and crying for his mother.

Draggy looked around and suddenly wondered just where she was as the village bustled around her.

Asipa sat up, rubbing her eyes, and realized she must have fallen asleep in the flower bed. She looked around for Tsuji and Palas. It appeared they had fallen asleep or were resting their eyes as well, so she stood up quietly, not wanting to disturb them.

Suddenly, a woman appeared in the middle of the road before her, just out of nowhere. Asipa left the flower bed and walked over to the woman.

"Hello, I'm Asipa, but you can call me Sipi. Are you one of the strangers to this world? My friends and I have been trying to find some of them."

Side Chapter Eight Start - Afternoon in Greenoak Village. Trade is vibrant in the square, only pausing briefly upon the smoky arrival of a pointy-eared newcomer. Children laugh and play, parents gossip and shop, surrounded by shops and inns with many still hard at their tasks, waiting for the sun to dip low enough in the sky to call it a day and head for their own relaxations.

From one inn, a young busboy is pushed out the door by a nervous-looking barkeep. The boy shakes his head in resignation, and heads towards the center fountain of the square slowly, as if to put off the inevitable...

Nostarah
She woke and didn't remember why she had been sleeping. Then there at her side a small sigh came, and she remembered. Looking to Fabian she brushed hair out of his babyish sleeping face. He looked so soft...so innocent when he slept...

She kissed him on the head, drawing a blanket off the floor to cover him, quietly shaking it out first. She searched the room for the articles of clothing which were actually her's, and dressed.

She really didn't need all this sleep, and couldn't think of why Fabian slept so much longer than her in such instances. But she smiled despite her confusion, and quietly left the room.

Her ponytails were in complete dissarray, and rather than go about the task of fixing them she merely let the curly purple hair fall around her face, giving her a much older appearance. She tied the green ribbons around her right wrist, bowed, with the tails short and tucked around her arm, so it looked more like a corsage than strips of shiny cloth draped about her dainty wrist.

Running fingers through her untamable collumn curls she wanders out of the inn, and down the wide street to the market center. She was becoming quite used to the lack of sunshine, and her cloak merely draped around her shoulders.

Dragona Nightsky
Draggy turned to look at the lady speaking to her. Well, at least she hadn't landed on some tribal jungle plane where the natives greeted you with a spear to the throat...or worse. She smiled and held out her hand.

"Dragona Nightsky, though simply Draggy is fine. I guess I'd be considered a stranger. Never been to this place that I recall, but oh well. Are you a native here?"

Judas Unchained

HaeShin was aware of his voice but did not hear a word of his speech. Her eyes were fixed on his slender delicate fingers and carefully shaped manicure. I wish I was half as elegant. she thought. A disturbance caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. A swirl of bubbles surrounded her, blinding her.

Suddenly, she was no longer in the Sea. "Uwahh!" kerplunk! HaeShin had fell from the Sky and into a fountain. Panic enveloped her senses. Where am I? What... what?

She splashed around in panic, looking more and more like a fish out of water.

fiziali
Asipa giggled at Draggy. "No, I'm not from around here. Apparently there is a whole group of people not from around here, but I've only met three of them so far. Palas, Aria, and Tsuji. I don't know where the rest of them are, and to be honest, I don't even know where Aria is anymore."

Asipa spoke hastily, worried lest she lose this new stranger as well. She didn't like being alone in a world where she didn't know anyone. Looking towards the center of town, she saw a lady with purple hair come out of the inn.

"Ooh, I bet that lady with the purple hair is one of them. I haven't seen her around here before, but she definitely looks out of place. Maybe we can go find out. She might know where the rest of them are.", Asipa said excitedly.

Felixie Farcliff
The young servant boy, still wearing his messy dishwashing apron over the simplest drab tunic and shorts, continues his journey to the large fountain. Many villagers he passes acknowledge him in some form or another, whether it's with sympathetic pats on the back, cruel giggles or just a roll of the eyes in disbelief. He doesn't return any, but keeps on his path through the crowd, eyes to the ground.

Nostarah

She tucked a portion of her hair out of her face behind her pierced ear, a small strand getting stuck on the hoop at her earlobe. She never usually had this problem, and looked quite confused as to how to fix it.

She stopped in her travels. She used both hands to carefuly uncurl the bit of hair, but pulled it the wrong direction and ended up tangling it further. She wined softly under her breath.

Dragona Nightsky
Draggy rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "So this isn't an odd occurance then? This isn't Juxta is it...?" The last she mumbled more to herself. At the mention of the purple haired girl, she nodded. "Sure, why--"

SPLASH!!

She could feel the water splatter her backside as she stopped with a gasp. She loved the cold, but it was the surprise that got to her as the water ran in rivulets off her leather and tried to soak into her shirt. Gell had thankfully enchanted it when the wyrmlings were babes...he got tired of cleaning out spit-up stains...but that didn't keep her from getting wet at all.

She turned and looked to see what had caused the splash.

"Paladine!" she said, almost as if a curse of sorts, "are you alright?!" she said to Haeshin.

Felixie Farcliff
The young man approaches the fountain, and he, like many other townsfolk, stop and stare at the splashing new arrival. Unlike the others, however, he continues to get up onto the ledge of the fountain and watches from there.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy turns to the young, drab-ly clothed boy.
"Hey, give me a hand and help me get her out, would you?"

fiziali
Confusion in her eyes, Asipa looked at Draggy and said, "Juxta? Never heard of it. I don't know what the name of this place is. It could be Juxta, I suppose."

Hearing the splash and feeling a bit of water hit her in the face, Asipa jumped back and exclaimed, "Hey! Watch what..."

She stopped mid-sentence, realizing that the splash had come from someone falling into the fountain from above.

Draggy had turned and adressed the girl as Paladine. "You...you know her?", she asked, pointing at Hueshin. "Where did she just come from? She wasn't there a minute ago."

Judas Unchained
HaeShin felt heavy but managed to pull herself up, the water dripping from her robes. She blinked, panic fading away, yet unsure how to proceed. The creatures here seemed like land-dwellers, HaeShin figured out, but were unlike any she had ever seen.

"I appear to be unharmed." She replied to the one who addressed her. Feeling the eyes of many was not as hurtful as her silly countenance. HaeShin treked across the fountain towards the helpful voice.

Felixie Farcliff
The boy blinks at the pointy-eared woman's request. "Uh. Uh. Uh. Uh-okay!" He tries to help Draggy although it's clear he doesn't want to enter the water to do it, instead just stretching out his short arms in the general direction of the center of the splashes of water.

fiziali
Seeing the boy's reluctance to help Draggy, Asipa volunteered, "Here, I'll help you." She slipped off her shoes, stepped up onto the fountain, and into the water, offering a hand to the girl.

Felixie Farcliff
When HaeShin declares herself unhurt, if not terribly dry, the boy withdraws his attempts to help. He stares at her even more than at Draggy, and doesn't say anything. Some of the villagers stare too, perhaps more than a few of them some dumb and obviously leering men, but eventually the traffic of the square, and the wives, start to push people along.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy smiles encouragingly to the boy - she hoped he never saw her in her birthday suit if he was this nervous as is!
"Thanks," she says and keeps her hand out for Haeshin to grab a hold of and get out of the fountain. She then looks to Aspia.

"Eh? No, I don't know any of these people. What makes you say that?"

Nostarah

Having conquered her unruly curl she tucked it behind her sufficiently long ear. It was an odd feeling, having things push against the back of her ear. Moving again toward the village circle she found quite a few people she hadn't seen before, but she was slowly getting used to this. One had pointy ears like her's, and that excited her. Another looked like a very pretty young woman, and yet a third lay sprayled on the ground, wet. She couldn't see this one quite clearly yet, and made her curious way over to them.

"Hello!" She says cheerfuly to the group of people.

Felixie Farcliff
Standing up straight on the fountain's wide stone edge, the boy turns around to face out towards the crowd. He pulls out a scroll, and starts to unroll it with a grim look on his face.

fiziali
Looking more confused than ever, Asipa looked at Draggy. "You just called her Paladine. I thought you knew her."

She climbed down out of the fountain, then turned to see if the girl needed a hand climbing out, herself.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy chuckled a bit.
"Oh, no no. Paladine is the name of my god, well, one of the names. At any rate, I..."

She couldn't help but look up as she saw that scroll being unfurled out of the corner of her eyes. Having dealt with her children for the past many moons, she did the first thing that instinct told her to do and made a grab for it.

Judas Unchained
HaeShin took the hands of two and withdrew from the fountain to dry land, though curious at the boy's action. "Thank you. I... apologize for my appearance." she said as neutrally as possible. "I am disoriented..."

At the sound of a "hello" her training finally kicked in and she tilted her head downward in a formal bowing nod. Raising her eyes, she declared "I am..." A hesitation. I do not know if I should trust strangers with my identity. she decided. "Hae-Sae, from the Kingdom of the Dragon of the Sea."

fiziali
Hearing Draggy talk about her god, Asipa became a bit uncomfortable. She had never been a religious person, and really didn't know anything about gods.

Seeing Draggy's hand shoot out, Asipa turned to see what had caught Draggy's attention, and saw the boy standing on the fountain holding a scroll, and Draggy had snatched it from his hands. Asipa was a bit shocked, and wondered what the scroll contained on it.

Felixie Farcliff
"HEAR YE HEAR YE!!", the young lad declares in a loud soprano. Immediately villagers around stop and laugh at him. Mutterings of "Oh god, what now?", "I wish that innkeep would stop making Dehnis do this...", and "What's that paranoid freak got for us this time, Dehnis? Ha!" surround him, and he has to wait a moment for it to die down enough for him to continue.

The boy looks at Draggy in shock as the scroll is yanked from his hands before he can hardly read anything from it. "Uh, uh, uh... you mind...?"

Nostarah

She nearly bounced in place. "Hello then, my name is Nostarah!" A radiant smile spread across her face, and she nearly clapped her hands. "I've never actually met a dragon before." She almost giggled, her childish delight clear on her face as she looked at the odd looking dragon woman. She fairly danced in place.

Hearing the boy in the apron speak she instinctively looked over at him.

Dragona Nightsky

If anyone ever said motherly instinct was never wrong, they hadn't met Draggy.

If anything, her motherly instinct had been pushed beyond the scope of 'normal', so once she realised that the boy was simply going to read from the scroll, she couldn't help but blush a bluish-pink around the tips of her ears.

She tried to cover her beautiful blunder, though.

"Oh, I was gonna read it for ya...ya know, make sure it carries and all, but here kid, all yours..."

And quickly she passed it back. She had been sure he was about to unroll and read off some magic scroll and burn down the kitchen again...it only happened several times a week at home...

fiziali
Hearing Haeshin introduce herself, Asipa turns back to the girl. "Hae-Sae?", she repeats. "What an odd name. Kingdom of the Dragon of the Sea? I've never heard of that place before. What sort of place is it?", she questioned.

Realizing that the boy had been about to read something important from the scroll that Draggy had snatched from his hands, she turned back before Haeshin could answer, to see if Draggy had given the scroll back to the boy. This was the most activity she had seen in this village since the wolves came.

Hearing the lady with the purple hair speak, she looked over at her. "Nostarah? Wow, that's a pretty name. Dragon? What dragon?", she looked around at everyone with a puzzled look on her face. She didn't see any dragon and didn't know what Nostarah was talking about. She was beginning to feel quite foolish.

Draggy had given the boy the scroll back, so she turned to listen to what he had to say.

Judas Unchained
HaeShin smiled just barely showing rows of pointed teeth, Nostarah's enthusiasm was catching, and replied, "I have never been to the surface before..." Then another disturbance caught her eye.

The scroll... snatching... So much seemed to be happening at once. HaeShin forced herself to appear calm, though her heart was racing.

Her attention was now fixated on the one holding a scroll.

((HaeShin is a dragon... albeit in humanoid form: [x]))

Dragona Nightsky

She turned to see the rest of them staring at her...so much for covering her blunder. However, it gave her a chance to get a good look at Haeshin. A dragonkin? Well that made her feel a bit more at ease. She nodded and mumbled,
"Martivir vethrasvim shafear," to her. It was an old draconic greeting from where she lived. She wondered if the other woman would know it.

Either way, she gave her a smile, as well as the purple curly haired woman, before turning to listen to the boy.

Felixie Farcliff
"Some of these newcomers are pretty weird all right...", someone in the crowd states, getting nods all around. The boy blushes, but takes the scroll and resumes shout-reading from it. "Ahem! The World Famous Hundryd-Hex Hotelle once again is experiencing abnormal effects of the owner's fantastic curse!" Many laughs from the crowd, and many head-shakes of humorous disbelief. "A call goes out to anyone who would aid this poor man in his hour of need! Be ye hero or sage, or anyone with some talent for dispelling trouble and an eye for a large coin reward, or just looking for a place to get food, drink and lodging in the least boring place in Greenoak, come down the street to the Hundryd-Hex Hotelle! Gerald "Godforsaken" Gormsmith proprietor." The boy, bright red from embarrassment, steps down amid the laughing crowd and stares straight at the ground while pointing down the street, likely the direction of the inn in question.

Nostarah

Nostarah smiled wide, all her time spent with Fabian and leeland banishing thiughts of keeping what she was a secret. Fangs showed. "Well, then I dare say you'll be overwhelmed in minutes. A lot seems to happen here, giving one a feeling of never truly getting a moment to reflect." She seemed to blush a bit, several recent occurances rushing through her mind.

Turning on her heel as if her entire thought process had changed, she bounced over to the boy. "I'll go!" she seemed in QUITE the helpful and excited mood.

fiziali
Listening to the boy, Asipa did not understand what he was talking about. Someone wanted help with some kind of curse. Someone at the Inn apparently, for that was the direction the boy had pointed.

Then Nostarah said something about being overwhelmed. When she smiled, fangs showing quite visibly. Asipa let out a screech, jumping back and into Draggy. She had not been expecting that from such a beautiful woman.

"Are you...?", she stammered out, not completing the question that was in her mind. She was wondering if the woman was a vampire, because the fangs were like the vampires in all those horror movies.

"Never mind.", she said sullenly, not really wanting to know the answer to that.

Turning to look at Draggy apologetically, she said, "Sorry about that. She scared me for a second there."

Judas Unchained
Shaking her head, she replied to Nostarah, "Indeed."

Then started by familiar sounding words, HaeShin was a bit unsettled. It sounded like the old tongue, though different. Perhaps a different dialect? Perhaps she was a dragon from the Kingdom of Sky? Hope of familiarity lightened her cautious heart.

But before she could say anything she heard the boy announce. Could this curse... be what brought me here?

The announcement over, she turned and unleashed the question held back. "How do you know the old tongue?"

Nostarah

She tilted her head back as she turned to look at the girl who had spoken to her, open child-like curiosity plain on her face. "What's wrong?" She hadn't heard the question, but the shriek was a little hard to ignore with the girl so close to her, and her ears so long.

Felixie Farcliff
The boy looks up at the purple-curled bouncy ball of energy. "Uh. Ummmmmm... it's that way, uh, miss! I'll take you!" He smiles a bit, although nervously, seemingly relieved at the chance to immediately stop his job as signpost.

Nostarah

She fairly danced in place at his acceptance of her. "Then lead the way!" She seemed to be switching conversations quite quickly, not waiting for an answer but merely moving on with the next thing that approaches her senses first. It didn't seem she was doing it on purpose, however...

She bounced forward and hooked her arm around the boy's elbow, as if he were escorting her somewhere, a radiant smile on her face.

Dragona Nightsky

The question caught Draggy off-guard. She had always cautious when first meeting people about just blabbering out that she was, indeed, a dragon. Some people didn't distinguish between metallics and chromatics, some just didn't care, and still others were frightened by the idea of being in the company of a large reptilian-like creature that could bite them in half in one fell swoop...she supposed she couldn't blame them there.

Still, this girl was of some kind of dragon blood, she knew the tongue, and it would be nice to be in familiar company...it was hard explaining draconic jokes to people sometimes!

Still, her answer was cryptic at best.
"I've always known it, it's a part of my blood I guess."

She jolted a bit as Aspia bumped into her, but held her hands up in a gesture to say it was alright. Then she then turned to look at the boy and the purple-haired girl heading off and pondered for a moment. She hadn't had the chance for something like this in a long time. She nodded more to herself than anyone.

"Sure, I'll go. Why not?"

fiziali
Asipa waited to see what Draggy and the others were going to do. She wasn't sure she wanted to follow after and help, if no one else was. She didn't think she'd be very comfortable if she were helping alongside a possible vampire.

Nostarah had turned to her to find out why she had screeched, and Asipa could not ignore her question. Flinging back the hair from her eyes, she looked at Nostarah, obviously quite nervous as she said meekly, "I was wondering if you are a vampire? I mean, I've never known anyone with fangs like that. Then again, I've never known anyone with wings on their back before and I've definitely never known a succubes before, or a shape changer for that matter."

Feeling a little braver now that she had been mentioning all the strange people she had met here, she said, "All I've ever known my whole life is humans. I didn't even know people like you..." She swept her hand around at the small group of outsiders to indicate them. "...existed in real life. I thought it was all stories made up in books and movies."

Asipa shook her head, exasperated. "I just want to know where I am and how to get home.", she cried, tears beginning to flow down her cheeks as the frustration of the last couple days finally caught up with her.

She didn't know if Nostarah even heard her, as she had gone off with the boy towards the inn.

Draggy said she was going to go, and feeling the most comfortable with her out of the entire group, Asipa decided to go with her as well. She followed after Draggy, tears flowing down her cheeks, hanging her head low as if trying to hide the tears.

Nostarah

Calling back over her shoulder to Asipia she felt her cheeks flush at the question. "I'm not going to bite anybody, if that's what you're worried about!" Her voice light and cheerful, neither denying or confirming the fact.

Judas Unchained
HaeShin pondered a bit at the meaning of the reply. It seemed as if she was a dragon indeed... or at least partially. Upon hearing that the other dragon would go, HaeShin said, "I shall join you."

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy hung back a moment to wait for Aspia. She was suddenly glad she hadn't burst out that she was a dragon, though when Aspia mentioned shapechangers she did freeze a bit. Still, she took the younger girl by the shoulders - at least Draggy assumed that if she was human, she was definitely younger more than likely - and walked with her.

"Hey, don't worry there. I've been in alot of situations that were worse than this. If there's one thing I can tell you it's that there's always a way out, even when things look hopeless. So cheer up, ok?" she said, reaching down to brush the tears away from her cheeks if allowed. "Besides, you seem to have ended up with a nice bunch of people, see?"

Felixie Farcliff
The boy has no trouble making his way through the snickering crowd. No villager volunteers to come along, although a few guys look like they want to follow this group of girls whereever they're going. Before too long, he arrives in front of a shabby inn. The wooden signboard is a picture of a bunch of wiggling purple evil-looking symbols seeming to accost a hunched-over balding barkeep. The boy looks up at the girls who've come along, nodding to indicate they've arrived.

The inn definitely has seen better days. Several windows are boarded up, and there's little traffic in and out of the inn, despite that the building style is exactly the same as surrounding structures. Like it had been singled out by every disaster Nature felt like throwing at the area.

Nostarah

Looking at sign, she noted the odd look about it, and looked over the building itself. "It's a little broken, isn't it?" she asked in a soft childish voice. "shall we go in then?" She let go of the boy's arm and tilted her head, examining the sign.

fiziali
Hearing the light and cheerful tone in Nostarah's voice did little to comfort Asipa. If she was indeed a vampire, would she really tell someone she was going to bite them? Asipa highly doubted that.

Draggy had made an attempt to comfort her, and even brushed away her tears. Asipa was embarassed, not prone to outbursts like the one she had just had, and definitely not used to crying. She didn't know how to react, so she just stood there, letting Draggy wipe the tears away. Realizing what Draggy had just said, she nodded. Her voice trembling a bit, she said, "Yeah, I guess so. I mean, so far everyone I've met has seemed to be very nice."

The boy had come to a stop outside a very shabby looking building, and Asipa looked at the building with apprehension. This was the Inn the boy had mentioned? It didn't look very inviting.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy smiled at her.
"That's the spirit. Think on the positive!"

Then she turned and looked at the supposed 'inn'.

"Uh...this is it?"

Felixie Farcliff
"MR. G!!"", the boy yells into the tavern's front door. In a moment a balding older man steps into the entryway, a surprised look on his face. He smiles very widely. "Wonderful, Dehnis! Uh, are they guests or priests or... well, who are are you all? Come on, come in, tell me on the way, then I'll fill you on my sad, sad tale. Truely sad, yes!" He isn't frowning though, but smiling happily and rubbing his hands together. The boy just rolls his eyes.

Nostarah

Hopping and skipping she headed into the inn, following the cheerfuly grinning man. "I'm Nostarah!" She proclaimed happily, her curls bouncing around her with each gleeful skip.

Following him after hearing him say something about a tale, she begins to sing in a whistful tone, "Story time, story time, stoooory tiiiime.."

fiziali
Asipa looks apprehensively at the old man the boy addressed as Mr G. He said his tale was very sad, yet he seemed quite happy, and that struck Asipa as being very odd.

She looked at Draggy, then at Nostarah, wondering what they were going to do. Normally Asipa made decisions for herself, but this whole situation had her feeling quite insecure at the moment.

For once in her life, she would let someone else make the decisions for her. Draggy seemed to have some experience in this department anyways.

Nostarah seemed not to be concerned at all as she went skipping into the inn after the man, quite happily.

Felixie Farcliff
The inside of the inn is worse looking even than the outside, somehow. A couple customers are scattered around, eating and drinking what seems to be pretty decent food, actually, but the walls are torn up and graffiti'd, the floor is scuffed like it'd been through an avalanche (is that snow in the corner?), and no mirror is in one piece. The decorations around the place all seem to be various kinds of wards against evil from what have to be at least 12 different religions.

Nostarah

Looking around as she followed the man she put a finger to her bottom lip. "Oh wow...it's really broken in here, isn't it?" She stepped on tip toes around small debris, and tilted her head at a pile of white in one corner. snow...? That seemed fun. "Somebody scribbled all over the walls too." She wrinkled her nose at the thought of doing so. A hand went to the back of her neck, rubbing softly.

Dragona Nightsky

-IS- that snow in the corner? Draggy wondered as she stepped inside and looked around. She had a sudden inkling about why the townsfolk laughed at the poor boy when he stood up to make his announcement.

Thoughtfully she looks around. She thought maybe she recognized one of those decorative wards, but she couldn't be sure. Somehow she wasn't sure she wanted to sit, though, so she stood and looked to the barkeep as he told his tale.

fiziali
Draggy had decided to go in, so Asipa went after her. Taking a look around the inn, Asipa was horrified. How could this place be considered an inn, in it's current condition. Could it even be legal to operate a business that looked this bad? She wondered what the talismans were that adorned the walls and shelves around the place.

She was careful not to brush up against anything out of fear of what horrid things might pop out. Then her thinking got really wild as Asipa wondered if there were rats or roaches or other despicable creatures like that, living here inside the inn. She became skittish, looking around, a distressed look on her face.

Felixie Farcliff
The barkeep turns to face the girls, and the couple other customers, and waves his hands as if to indicate a grand view. The boy stands just behind him in silence, giving the girls an apologetic look. "Beware, pretty young lasses! For you stand upon the site of the darkest and blackest bewitchment ever to darken Greenoak! Twelve years ago, I myself, Gerald Gormsmith, had just bought this fabulous tavern from the previous owner. Sadly, before I could get my barkeep legs under me, I managed to cook up a slightly-off batch of lamb buns. One of the customers of that batch... WAS A WITCH!!" With that exlamation, Gerald makes 'ooh, scary' motions with his hands, an expression of mock terror on his face. The boy Dehnis is making "blah blah" motions with his hands just out of Gerald's sight.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy grins bemusedly, even chuckling almost quietly, and gives Aspia a gentle nudge with her elbow, nodding to indicate the boy behind the barkeep if she hasn't seen him yet.

Nostarah

She tilts her head to the side, sitting on the floor was out of the question, so she clasped her hands behind her, listening and waiting, a small smile on her face.

fiziali
Feeling nervous about the possibility of rats or other creatures at the inn, Asipa slipped in closer to Draggy.

She listened to the old man's tale about the buns he'd made and the witch, and thought he was being overly dramatic and wondered if the story he was telling was even true.

Apparently the boy thought he was being overly dramatic as well, because he stood behind the man making blah blah motions with his hands, and a giggle escaped Asipa's lips.

Just then she felt a nudge from Draggy, and smiled up at her, a grin on her face, the rats somewhat forgotten.

Felixie Farcliff
"Needless to say, once she came back from the little witch's room, she was none too pleased, and hexed this inn! Then she had to go back to the bathroom, and came out and hexed it again! Then again and again until finally she had cast over a hundred different spells..." The two customers stop eating and push their bowls away, and start fumbling in their coin pouches. "Now, there are constant bizarre things happening here. Oh, you'd think such an amazing place would be a good draw, but, you know, maybe it's just a bad location or something... anyway, now I need help. Right now, in the basement, a curse has manifested... well, you'd better see for yourself." He leans down behind the bar, and pulls up a trapdoor, then points down into the cellar below. The boy cringes, but dutifully grabs a lit lantern and climbs down.

Nostarah

Nostarah bounced down the stairs after the boy, seeming as if she were off to someplace brighter, happier, by her actions she should be going to a carnival. Much too happy for the situation.

Grabbing one of her ribbons from her wrist she tied her hair back in a ponytail at the base of her skull, too many things would get caught in her hair otherwise.

Dragona Nightsky
"Right then, I suppose we should investigate then. But first," she says, turning to Nostarah as she walks down beside her and holding out a hand. "I like to be at least vaguely familiar with the people I'm working with. Dragona Nightsky, pleasure to meet you."

Asipa looks as the man points down into the trapdoor, and then up at Draggy. Surely Draggy didn't intend to go down there. What if it were all a trick to capture them. She didn't know why anyone would want to capture them, but a thousand different possible reasons began to run through her mind. She latched onto Draggy's arm. "Draggy, we can't go down there. What if it's a trap?", she said, fearfully.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy paused, one hand held out towards Nostarah, the other latched onto by Aspia. She looked back to the other girl.
"I see what you're saying, but think about it this way. What if this poor guy really needs some help? No one else is going to step up to the task. It's scary, I know, but the best way to conquer that fear is to face it. And besides, this lovely young lady and I will be right here beside you, right?"

fiziali
Asipa nods at Draggy, but stays close by her side, very nervous about the situation. She realizes that Draggy is right, and that if they didn't help, then no one might help him.

Nostarah

Unfamiliar she gesture she looks at Dragona's hand, then squeezes it slightly, smiling at her. "I'm Nostarah." she said simply, brightly, for the third time in but a few moments. "The pleasure's all mine, I'm sure." She started lightly swinging the other woman's hand, humming a soft and happy tune something like a lullaby under her breath.

Felixie Farcliff
Down in the basement there's immediately an abundance of splashing and crashing sounds. Dehnis looks pretty annoyed but moves forward. It's clear this is a wine-cellar from all the barrels and kegs and casks around, and the scent of alcohol. As he moves along he lights more lanterns on the walls. Soon enough, he's splashing through spilled wine himself, and looking quite distasteful of it, as he moves deeper in, waving the girls to come along.

fiziali
Asipa is curious to know what all the splashing and crashing sounds are that she hears in the darkness, but decides they will find out soon enough. Still holding onto Draggy, she follows after her, unsure what they are going to be able to do to help this man.

Nostarah

"Ooh dear...that will stain.." She made a fuss to one side of the stairs of tying her skirts up about midthigh, making sure they are secure and up as high as they could go without being too indecent, removing her boots as well and leaving them near the base of the stairs, well out of the way of people walking down before heading into the wine she smelled heavy in the air.

"It's so cold!" Came her delighted childish bleat, as she bounced into the wine all along the floor, barefoot and giggly.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy smiled a bit at the girl's child-like demeanour and the way she shook her hand.
"Well then, let's get to it shall we?" she said, starting down into the cellar, leading Aspia along. She made a face as having to splash through the wine, but she was sure she'd had to muck through worse before, so she tried not to let it deter her.

"How much further?" she called out to Dehnis. The smell of the alcohol was getting pungent, and she knew she would most definitely have to wash out her clothes after this, and she didn't have a spare set.

On the bright side, at least it wasn't blood, or swamp water, or something worse...

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal wandered through the forest once again, scowling darkly and his golden gaze glared at the ground through his dark glasses. His hands were shoved deep in the pockets of his black jeans and his black leather coat flared slightly around him as he walked through the forest trying to find that town again. The one that Kimmi had been in last time he'd been abruptly dropped here.

His long midnight black hair fell over his shoulders and down to his a**, his matching midnight black wings were currently hidden so he could go fairly unnoticed, he hated it when people had heart attacks and fawned over him because of his wings... well unless they were an attractive female anyway, a sly smile curved his lips for a moment before his thoughts returned to the stupid world he was in.

How he hated this damn world...it seemed to enjoy using him like a damn toy and he hated being used. Warping him back home then dropping him back to this damn world...and back in the exact same position he'd been dropped last time - in that damn meadow. He was no one's puppet... but at least maybe he could find Kimmi again...

Stopping he pulled the dark shades off and his golden gaze moved around the slight clearing, frowning he saw what he assumed was an inn but it looked slightly on the rundown side, not like the one he'd found Kimmi in last time when he'd helped that pretty purple haired girl... his thoughts trailed off at the strangeness of her appearance even compared to the people he had met before.

He came out of his thoughts when he saw a few people walk into the inn, one of which looked very much like the purple-haired girl he'd saved earlier...shrugging he walked to the inn and inside. He stood silently by the door, leaning against the jam slightly as he listened to what the owner had said, putting his glasses in his pocket he whispered something softly and a long sword appeared at his right hip and a dagger in his left boot. As well as a black armoured breast plate appeared to replace the crimson shirt he'd been wearing before and then he followed behind the women as they went through the trap door.

fiziali
Asipa had been so intent on keeping up with Draggy, she hadn't seen the guy come in behind them. Hearing splashing behind her, she turned to look, and saw Likereal with a sword at his side.

Startled, she let out another shriek, and jumped forward in front of Draggy, splashing wine on Nostarah and Draggy both, as well as soaking her tunic. Only then did she realize that Likereal wasn't threatening them in any way.

Once again embarassed by her own actions, Asipa's cheeks became flushed and a sheepish look crossed her face. "I'm...I'm sorry. You startled me. I'm Asipa, but you can call me Sipi.", she said to Likereal, offering her hand to him in a friendly gesture for a handshake.

Remembering Nosarah's careful attempts to protect her garments from the wine, she turned to look at the girl, and was flooded with guilt. "Ooh, Nostarah, I'm so very sorry. Your dress, I've ruined it.", she wailed.

Felixie Farcliff
Finally, the source of the splashing comes into the range of the servant boy's lantern, wine swishing all over everything, bursting from kegs and barrels... but, there's nothing to be seen but wine and more wine. The boy lights more and more lanterns so the room is clearly lit, but it looks for all the world like the wine itself is causing the noise, splashing about of it's own free will like a baby in a bath... "Uh, hm hm hm hm.... er, well you see it, right?", the boy states, pointing to the middle of the little lake. "We usually ignore the hexes, they're mostly just illusions or noises or whatever, but this is really hurting Gerald where it counts I guess, he really can't afford this, you know? So so so so, uh, we think it might be a... well, a wine elemental...or something. Please stop it... or take it away, or something? Please?" He looks at everyone desperately.

Nostarah

Having been splashed with the wine she makes a pouty face, then shrugs as if it didn't matter at all, bouncing forward again. "It looks like I'll be all dyed a new color in a little bit anyways." She says in a voice far too cheerful.

Looking at the source of the splashing she bounces forward, peering into the space where the wine seems to be comming from, moving to push a hand gently to the center of the disturbance. "Heeelllooooooo?" She calls in a soft singsong voice.

Dragona Nightsky

She'd been doing good keeping her balance...until that shriek. THAT caused her to miss her footing and slip backwards with a loud yelp and SPLASH into the wine.

She slowly sat up. As if the fountain and the trek down here hadn't been enough, she was now thoroughly soaked to the bone in wine from her head down to her leather boots. She glanced at Aspia dryly.
"You have really got to learn to overcome those fears..."

Pushing herself carefully to her feet, she turned towards the splashing behind her first and, once determining that the man seemed friendly enough, gave him a welcoming nod. "Welcome to Wine and Dine," she said wryly. "Come to help?"

She then looks towards Dehnis and slowly moves in a little closer to get a better look at the splashing he indicated, but not too close just yet. Thoughtfully she slips one of the daggers from her wrist guard and looks to the others.
"Alright, if anyone wants to try and reason with that thing, now's your chance before I make it mad."

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal had followed the women down the stairs and into what he assumed was the wine cellar because of all the wine and spirits that seemed to make up the river of liquid down there. He wrinkled his nose slightly at the idea of having jeans soaked in wine but finally dropped down and started after them trying to ignore the feeling of the wine soaked through his jeans up to just above his knees. He was glad of his height of 6 feet at times like this...and when he wanted to look down at people, that thought made his lips twitch slightly in a smirk.

He saw one of the women turn to look at him, the slight smirk turned to a look of surprise and a wince a little at the girl's loud shriek in such an enclosed space. He moved his hand up to push his dark hair off his shoulder and then took the girl's hand in his for a few moments longer than necessary. Smiling in a slightly flirtatious way as his gold eyes trailed over her face, seeing the light blush on her cheeks, "It's quite okay...Sipi, my name is Likereal and I'm sorry for startling you."

His golden gaze then moved to the woman that seemed to have slipped and fallen into the wine river at the sound of Sipi's shriek. He smiled back at the woman, noticing her appearance and that it seemed that indeed this world seemed to be deplacing a lot of people from many different species' and worlds, "Of course... I thought I might as well since I had nothing else to do since I was dropped here."

His golden eyes widened for a moment when she heard the woman call the purple-haired girl Nostarah, he was pretty sure that was what Kimmi had called the girl he'd saved and taken to her the other day. Obviously it was the same girl, which meant that Kimmi had to be nearby somewhere.

Felixie Farcliff
The wine reacts to Nos's touch by burbling happily and swirling around her in a gentle whirlpool, just below her knees. Barrels don't stop being busted, though.

fiziali
Startled as Draggy fell into the wine, her attention was forced away from Likereal just as he'd introduced himself to her. Asipa reached out to help Draggy up. "Oh, Draggy, are you alright? Oh, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault.", she said, hanging her face in shame as Draggy scolded her.

Tears welled up in her eyes once again, but she forced them back. This just wasn't her day and things were not going well for her. It seemed everything was backwards, including her own mixed up emotions. Then Dehnis announced that they were here, and explained what their theory was.

"A what?", Asipa questioned, in confusion. She had never heard of such a thing. She had read about fire elementals and ice elementals in books, but she never really understood what it was that they did.

She had read the books the teacher assigned, but she had never been much of a reader to begin with, and would much rather have been out playing with the boys than reading a book any day. She had no idea how they could help with this situation. What did she know about removing elementals? Perhaps Draggy would know what to do, she decided.

She was glad that Nostarah wasn't more upset about her splashing wine on her dress than she was. It made her feel a little better. Asipa watched Nostarah curiously, as she reached out to the center of the room with her hand, where all the splashing was coming from. She half expected the girl to pull back, her arm chomped off at the elbow or something, though she hoped with all her heart that wasn't going to happen.

Nostarah

Dancing in the swirling wine she now twirled around in a circle, skipping about getting her clothing soaked in the liquid. "Lookit, lookit! It wants to play!" Giggling she moved to step out of the swirls. "Tickles a lot though!"

Dragona Nightsky

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Draggy said to Asipa.

As she turned the other way, she watched intently what the elemental was doing around Nostarah. She then looked over to the kegs that were still busting, and suddenly she wondered if she could just stop them from busting.

Sliding the dagger back away, she instead plucked the little jeweled longbow from its chain and whispered the command word, allowing it to grow in size to where she could properly string it. She then plucks one of the azure tipped arrows from her quiver. She made a face as it dripped a little, suddenly thankful that it was magical.

Carefully she draws the frosty feather back to her cheek, but isntead of aiming at the elemental since it's right around Nostarah, she takes aim at what she can best assume to be the next keg to burst. Once her aim is sure, she lets the arrow fly. Whereever it hits, it emits a burst of artic cold, hopefully cold enough to freeze the barrel solid and prevent it from bursting...hopefully.

Watching the strange reaction of the wine to Nostarah's playful greeting, Asipa thought it seemed almost happy to see Nostarah. Then Nostarah started to twirl around in a circle and skip about, and Asipa couldn't help but giggle at the girl as she played in the wine.

Reaching out to where the bubbles were rising, she felt the gurgling sensation on her hand. She could see why it would have tickled Nostarah. Pulling her hand back, she smiled. Maybe this wouldn't be so difficult after all.

All they had to do was keep this elemental thing happy, and perhaps they could lure it out. She looked around the cellar wondering what they could use to lure the elemental out with. Her thoughts were cut short as she realized, sure, they could lure it out, but then what? They couldn't just leave it sitting in the middle of the woods or a meadow or something, could they?

Then she noticed Draggy was going to shoot with her bow. Surely she wasn't going to shoot the elemental, was she? No, she was aiming at a barrel. Asipa watched with curiousity.

Felixie Farcliff
The barrel Draggy's arrow strikes instantly glistens and shines in the lanternlight. Dehnis grins happily, someone actually _might_ be able to help out of this group of nice people... soon enough, the pattern of bursting barrels hits the frozen one and stops there with a loud *WHUMP*! The swirling of wine in the middle ceases for a moment, then swirls faster and faster, angry waves rising up and destroying more and more other casks. The boy tries to back away but hits a wall...

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal watched quietly, his golden gaze narrowed slightly as he watched the elemental playing in the wine. He assumed it was indeed an elemental like the young boy said, but he couldn't be sure since he couldn't see it. He doubted it was a wine elemental since he had never heard of such a being, but it could be some other kind of elemental.

He watched silently as the purple-haired girl danced in the wine with the elemental, a slight smile curved his lips as he watched the happy, bubbly girl. He was happy to see that she seemed very much improved compared to how he had found her last time...it did not seem like the elemental was going to harm anyone, it meerly seemed playful.

Likereal frowned watching the girl that he had heard Sipa call Draggy, he cocked his head slightly to the side and watched her remove her bow and arrow and shoot at one of the barrels of wine. He watched curiously as to what she was doing, his eyes widened slightly when he saw the barrel freeze solid. That was a very ingenious idea actually, to stop the barrels being destroyed, however it seemed to upset the elemental a lot.

He watched as the waves got bigger and bigger. Moving his hand to his right hip he removed his long sword so that he was ready to fight if needed. Looking around him he checked on the three women and found that they seemed fine at the moment, his gold gaze then fell on the small boy who had been thrown against the wall, he debated about what he should do. Grab the boy and get him out quickly or charge in against the elemental, neither idea exactly thrilled him...and he was more prone to fighting than saving.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy grins in triumph, but it quickly turns into a frown. This thing was like a petulant child whose toy had been taken away! She calls to the others even as she searches her quiver for more of those blue tipped arrows.
"I can't get them all. We either have to affect more of them at once, or target that...thing! And we can't target it with her there!"

Even so, she pulls out four more arrows. The longbow was one thing she had trained long and hard at, to the point to where she had learned to fire several arrows at once and still keep her aim. She turned the bow sideways to aim along the shaft, one arrow in between each finger of her hand as she drew them back to her cheek. Carefully she aimed in an arc over the elemental for several of the casks that were still standing. Maybe if she could hit a larger area, the freezing effect would spread a bit further.

fiziali
When the elemental tried to break the cask Draggy had shot with her arrow, the wine seemed suddenly to become angry, waves rising up as it swirled faster, destroying more and more casks, and Asipa started to back away, unsure of what to do.

She backed right into Likereal, stepping on his foot. "Oops.", she said, moving aside as she didn't want to step any closer to the angry elemental. "Sorry!", she whispered.

Suddenly she had an idea, and she began to whistle a happy tune. Then she started to dance, twirling around like Nostarah had done. She felt pretty silly, and thought the others must think her nuts, but she was hoping her idea worked.

She started moving around the room, whistling and dancing and twirling. Looking at Draggy, she said, "I think we need to lure it out of here. If we keep it happy, it will be easier to deal with, but where will we lure it to?"

Seeing Draggy pull out more arrows, she looks horrified. "No, Draggy, don't. You'll make them more angry if you shoot those."

Nostarah

With an indignant squeek she did a kind of hop, like one would if they had seen a mouse, a tiny wimper of sadness uttering from her throat. "Couldn't we just move it? A stream, or a river? It was so happy." She wondered if she could inch away from it if it got angrier...

She visibly pouted.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy pauses just before releasing the arrows to fly to their mark and looks sidelong to Sipi, relaxing the tension on the bowstring just slightly.
"If we don't do something, there won't be anything left to salvage! Dancing may calm it down, but it was still destroying the barrels when she was dancing with it," Draggy says with a nod towards Nostarah.

She watches to see if Asipa's plan will work, but she seems doubtful. None of the elementals she'd ever faced were keen on calming down once they got going...

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal was busy watching the growing waves and trying to decide if he should try save the boy or attack the elemental, not that he liked attacking things he couldn't see. Though he could sense its approximate location in the middle of the wine river...he still didn't particularly like going against an enemy he couldn't see.

Kimmi always said he ran blindly into battle but that wasn't completely accurate. He ran into battle against an enemy he could see and size up, even when it seemed he was completely outclassed. However he never ran blindly into battle against someone he couldn't even see and didn't know what it was. He winced a little when Asipa stood on his foot, he nodded back and said softly, "Its fine...no harm done..."

Finally deciding that for the second time in as many days he would be a hero and try save that boy and get him out of the cellar. After all the boy had done nothing to deserve accidentally getting caught in the cross fire and possibly killed or injured, muttering softly under his breath he walked around the outer edge of the barrels and around the area the elemental was in. Keeping an eye out and his sword ready as he made his way to the boy, he hated this wine...he couldnt even run...

Felixie Farcliff
The elemental hesitates for a moment, but then starts swirling in time with Asipa's movements, still busting up the barrels, and the wine getting deeper and deeper as more and more kegs empty into the growing lake.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy frowns. This didn't seem to be helping. They were still getting deeper and deeper in wine, then it hit her.

"Hey, what if we freeze it and THEN move it somewhere else where it can thaw out?"

It was obvious the other girls weren't keen on killing it, but if they didn't do something soon they were going to drown in wine!

Nostarah

Putting her hands together she knelt in the wine, about where the splashing had been before, and she filled her hands with water. "Come now, don't you want to play nice? Look here...not wine, but more than water. If you behave, we'll go outside and play." her tone was a little more than childish now, as the wine around her soaked into her clothing, making her shiver. She let a little of that water drip from between her fingertips.

fiziali
Never having dealt with elementals, Asipa had no way of knowing if they would calm down, but it was worth a shot anyways. Up until Draggy had made her statement, she hadn't even considered that there was more than one elemental in the room. Now there was a possibility of more of them, and who knew how many there were, or what they could do to the group if they became angry enough.

"They were still busting the casks, but if we make them angry enough, they might decide to bust us instead, don't you think?", she asked Draggy.

Asipa didn't relish the idea of being broken in half or something by an enemy she couldn't even see.

"There has to be something we can do, without making them angry at us.", she added. "Look, it's moving with me! Maybe we can lure it out!", she exclaimed excitedly.

Felixie Farcliff
Dehnis looks way, way up at Likereal as he wades over to him, and seems a little fearful, but there's no contest as to which is preferable, big huge scary dude, or drowning in the nasty red ex-grapejuice called wine. He tries to reach Likereal as well, holding out his hands, his lantern already out from being splashed.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy takes on a serious look.
"Yes, it might attack us, but that's part of the dangers of jobs like this.

"Listen, if this thing IS created by a hex, then no matter how much you try to reason with it, assuming you can reason with it at all, it's not going to stop. The magic fueling it won't let it stop!"

By now the wine had to be getting up to waist level or beyond. "We have to do something, we can't just hope something's going to change or it may cost us all our lives! The cold seemed to affect it at least, so think...how can we use that?"

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal looked down at the boy once he reached him, the wine was past the boy's waist already and up towards his chest since he was quite a bit shorter than both him and the girls. He was still holding his sword in his right hand he smiled at the boy in what he hoped was a reassuring way, he never had had much to do with children except for Kimmi now and then while she was growing up.

His gold gaze glanced over at the rippling wine where he guessed the Elemental still was, it seemed to be a bit more happy and dancing with the girls again... he didn't think that was very helpful since it had started smashing the barrels again and the wine level was rising once again... turning back to the boy he thought for a moment about how he could get him to higher ground without it inhibiting his ability to fight,
"Get on my back?"

fiziali
Still not liking the thought of making the elementals angry, Asipa looked around the room for something she could use to lure the elementals out with. She had to at least try.

She saw a bucket floating in a corner, probably a mop bucket used to clean the floors or something. Making her way over to the bucket, twirling and whistling as she moves, Asipa dips it into the wine, filling it, then makes her way over to the stairs.

She begins to climb the stairs, still twirling and dancing as she moves, doing her best not to spill the wine she is carrying, hoping they will follow her. She doesn't know where she will lead them if they do follow, but they obviously need to be moved soon, or the innkeeper will lose all the wine he has in the cellar.

Asipa realizes her idea is a long shot, but she feels it's the best plan they have going yet.

Felixie Farcliff
The boy scrambles up Likereal's back, getting the entire back of the man's clothes soaked in wine as well, but he seems a lot happier.

As for Asipa, when she dips the bucket into the lake, it seems like a ripple heads straight for the bucket, becoming a part of the wine that's then lifted out. The rest of the lake still sways back and forth, but not as strongly, nor do any more barrels burst open suddenly. The bucket of wine, however, definitely has a life of it's own, swaying in time with Asipa's dance movements. The further away from the lake Asipa takes the bucket with it's own odd ripples, the less and less the lake moves at all.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy watches as the calming begins, but doesn't leave just yet. She still has those arrows notched, ready to fire if need be, and seems to be waiting for the rest of them to leave first before she does.

Nostarah

Smiling her approval at Asipia she stands, her clothing now thuroughly soaked with the wine, and having taken on a new color. She skipps, following the girl, humming a happy tune under her breath.

She shivers slightly as cold air hits her wet skin, giving her goosebumps, being sure to grab her shoes as she reaches the foot of the steps.

fiziali
Asipa looks down the stairs at Draggy. "I...I think I caught it. I think there's only one after all.", she said enthusiastically.

Asipa questioned the others, "Where should I take it? We can't just dump it in the middle of nowhere. We can't just put it in the middle of town either, or it will surely find someone else's wine cellar to occupy."

Nostarah

Looking around at all the people she hadn't seen before, she merely assumed nobody knew, and so she spoke up. "There's a river just a ways out of town, a nice walk if you like that sort of thing. Do you suppose it would like that?" She tilted her head to the side, a few wet curls clinging to her cheek.

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal wrinkles his nose a little as he feels the wine on the boy soak into his leather coat a little, though the bottom was already wet from walking through the wine. At least his shirt would still be dry after this when he could switch back from his armor that covered his torso, he really didn't like the idea of his clothes being soaked and stained...at least the black leather wouldnt stain...and the stain might not be noticable in his pants if he washed them out as soon as he could.

"Okay, lets go kid..." he said gruffly and turned and started towards the ladder, a small smile curved his lips as he watched the girl that had seemed afraid of practically everything pick up a bucket of wine which seemed to include the elemental. He felt the wine settle slightly around him and nothing else exploded... maybe not such a silly idea after all... he sheathed his sword once again and continued to walk.

Dragona Nightsky

Draggy looked to Nostarah.
"It does seem to like liquid. Maybe it's not a wine elemental but a water elemental? It would make some sense. And by the way, Sipi...good thinking." she said with a smile.

fiziali
Giving Nostarah a bright smile, Asipa said, "I think that's a wonderful idea. I hope the elemental thinks so too.", she giggled.

"Would you mind terribly, showing me where the river is?", she questioned Nostarah, any apprehension she had felt towards the girl, completely forgotten now.

Hearing Draggy compliment her, Asipa blushed, but she felt pleased with herself. "Thanks, Draggy.", she said, appreciatively.

Nostarah

"Why of course!" She smiled brightly, skipping up to walk beside Asipia, her clothing still dripping wine. "It's just north of here, and it IS a bit through the woods, but I can get us back there." She radiated happiness at being useful.

Fallen_Angel_Likereal
Likereal continued following the girls through the river of wine and to the stairs. He climbed up the stairs that took them to the main room and out of the cellar. Finally out of there he relaxed a little, letting the boy slide down off his back and back onto his own feet.

He watched the girls and heard them mention a river that they could take the elemental to. He decided to go with them to check that they were okay, and also hopefully he could use the water to get the wine out of his pants and leather coat...

Felixie Farcliff
Suddenly the innkeeper's ugly mug pops up in the group! "An elemental!? No wonder, I thought that was an awful lot of damage even for the awesome curse upon this place. Perhaps one of my jealous rivals planted it! Good work team! Go ahead and do whatever you like with that thing as long as it's away from here. Oh, and by the way, thank you. Here's your FABULOUS reward! Let it never be said ol' "Godforsaken" isn't generous to a fault!"

With that, he hands out a single gold coin each to Likereal, Draggy, Nostarah and Asipa. Before anyone can, *ahem*, thank him for his generosity, he continues: "Oh, and I know that isn't much. I'm not an idiot... I can't afford anything else, though, except perhaps...well, why don't you each take a warding talisman from the wall? They sure don't work on this but you never know what they will work on, now! Go on, take one, and be off with ye, with my gratitude. You too, I guess, Dehnis, are to be thanked. Now get back down in that cellar with a mop, eh!" The boy smiles at everyone except his master, to whom he just glares at, before sighing and taking the mop. Home sweet home...

fiziali
Walking side by side with Nostarah, Asipa was happy Nostarah had agreed to show her where the river is. She liked the girl, and thought it would be nice to make a friend here. She continued her twirling, just to ensure the elemental stayed happy, and she laughed.

Looking down at her leather pants, Asipa wondered if she should remove them to dry or let them dry while she wore them. Either way, they were ruined, but she realized if she removed them and let them dry, she might never get back into them, and she didn't have a change of clothes with her. Best to let them dry while she wore them, she decided.

Seeing that Likereal had decided to go with them, she smiled at him.

Felixie Farcliff
The sun is lowering on the town, and people start to enter the tavern - it seems the place does a lot better among the simple workers of the town who come after their jobs are done, and are canny enough to appreciate the fact that an innkeeper who's absolutely terrified of poisoned witches is actually a fabulous cook. Although much wine was destroyed, to Gormsmith that only means a half-off sale on it for a while, and he and his ward both watch the heroes with pride and gratitude. Another day saved!
