This "lengthy" explanation will include major spoilers for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th volumes of the manga and Dracula. Read and discuss at own risk.

Don't worry. :3 I'm not going to watse this thread telling you what the manga already did about the Eagle as a symbol of Demeter in the...7th volume? Yeah, that's right. xD I'll just tell you a little bit about the Demeter, which is a ship from Dracula.

As the 1992 film, Bram Stoker's Dracula, portrayed, Dracula is basically a love story that has been clouded by horror and drama that takes place between the Victorian characters. All Dracula wanted was to be loved by Mina Harker, who was possibly the reason Seras did not die that night. However, Dracula managed to bite Mina once, trying to transform her into a vampire--which he almost did.

Once Abraham Van Helsing explained to Lucy's suitors (Arthur Holmwood, Quincey Morris, and Jack Seward) and Jonathan Harker about Dracula's vampirism, Dracula fled back to Romania in his earth-box aboard the *drum roll* Demeter. On the way, Dracula communicated through Mina's mind. Mina saw the things, heard the things, and lived the things Dracula did and recited them to Van Helsing when he hypnotized her. The ship was basically reduced to a "ghost ship" since Dracula kept killing off sailors but still moved towards Romania. The poor count had traveled to London for one reason: Mina Harker. Now, he basically set himself up since Mina, who was slowly becoming a vampire, was telling Van Helsing where and what he was doing...this led to his defeat when he touched down in Romania.

When Alu killed Rip Van Winkle and everyone else aboard the Eagle, the ship became a "ghost ship" heading towards London, Alu's home. The symbol obviously isn't exact since the only ones that were actually tracking the Eagle, where none other than Archbishop Maxwell and his underlings. xD Definitely not Mina or Van Helsing in the least, but...yeah... Whether this touch down in London will lead to Alu's defeat, I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Comments? Anything anyone would love to add? (Anyone have any clue when the 10th manga is to be released? -.- )

You didn't? D8

Gosh...I'm terrible at explaining an entire manga volume, but I'll try.

Well...I can't say much really happened in that volume except Sir Penwood blew up the place he was at, killing himself and everyone there. Walter was seen fighting Captain Hans, and I suppose that's when he betrayed Hellsing, although it looked as if he were struggling against Captain instead of being, "Oh, yeah...it took you guys fifty years to come and get me...let's go!" xD

Integra was ambushed by a group of Nazi vampires, but Anderson, Heinkel, and Yumie rushed into the scene and saved Integra. o: Talk about traitors. xD

Maxwell was busy sleeping until a group of his priestly buddies woke him up and told him about Anderson. Maxwell got a little ticked off, but then the Catholic army marched in and made him Archbishop. He went crazy with power for the first time, twitched a little, laughed in an evil fashion, then freaked out because another priest told him that the HMS Eagle was headed for London, even though it was burned to a crisp. There's that "ghost ship" thing I was talking about. ;3

Alucard was on the ship talking about how much he loved war. xD

Then the last part of the volume was Zorin's attack on Hellsing Headquarters. Pip, Seras, and the Wild Geese were fighting against them when they were in the blimp, then again on land. Pip thought about his past (you missed seeing him as a kid) and how he was first told to pick up his gun and fight. Zorin created illusions, and Seras saw through them with help from Alucard, who was telepathically reminding her about her "third eye". They all prepared to fight, and Pip attempted to kiss Seras--that didn't work out well. Seras told him not to die...then it was over.

And naturally, Jan and Luke were being idiots in their comic. xD

lol...if you can find this volume, I recommend reading it for yourself. xD I'm terrible at explaining these kinds of things. lol

No way...I'm so jealous. My library is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I was lucky to find the unabridged version of Dracula there. -.- They have almost NOTHING. D: You should see their Stephen King and Anne Rice sections...they're terrible!

wayYes ! I was hooked after "Interview". The last one I read was "Blood Canticle". I think she stopped writing those kinds of books. She became a born-again Christian

I'm looking for The Vampire Armand right now. I'm excited to read this one. <3 Armand is awesome.

Yeah...a little sad really. :/ No more Lestat, Louis, Armand...or any of those lovely vampires. lol...Lestat was hilarious. xD I think he might be more vain than our beloved Alucard.

The master is not as vain as Lestat, thank you very much razz

I have a copy of "The Vampire Armand" somewhere. Antonio Banderas played him beautifully in "Interview"

I thought he did alright. It wasn't how I envisioned Armand since in the book it said he was a young boy, but I'm a huge fan of Banderas. xD He did well, although I would have liked to see him as someone else.

I thought the casting was poor for that movie. -.-' Claudia and Lestat were good though, but Pitt ruined Louis.
