I love that baby video! Whenever I need to laugh, I just look up laughing baby videos. Works every time.
If you don't mind, I think I'll contribute to the pet trend. (Hope the pictures aren't too big!)
This is my new rescue-baby, Gus. And yes, he is very cross-eyed. xD
This is Gus curled up in my dad's office's inbox.
This is Gus' impersonation of a jellyfish.
I got him after my favorite cat in the whole world died. I'd had Jack for almost 13 years when he suddenly was diagnosed with cancer and started wasting away so quickly... Thankfully, I got a whole weekend home with him before we put him down to end his suffering... I still miss him very much, but sometimes I think Gus can channel Jack. For instance, as soon as I let Gus roam the whole house, he went straight for my old room where Jack and I spent the most time, then next to the room where I spent my last hours with Jack. The longest I've been away from Gus so far was the 10 days we spent visiting family in Idaho, but when I came back, suddenly Gus started acting a lot more like Jack. Snuggling into my lap ALL the time instead of occasionally and playing with my hair ties, which is something only Jack used to do! I'm a little sad to be leaving Gus tomorrow when I go back to college, but I'm sure I'll visit home a lot more often this year!
Now I think Jack deserves some spotlight time.
Jack as a pirate.
Jack as a lover with a heart of gold (too true!).
Jack as a chauffeur. xD He really liked exploring cars.
Jack snuggled up in blankets. I almost didn't spot him there! (Forgive the lack of quality; old camera phone.)
Jack was his for-short name. His full name was Jack O'Lantern because we were really little when we got him, in early October, and so excited for Halloween! (His name was even more fitting because when we made jack-o-lanterns, he liked to eat the pumpkin guts!) His all-black sister was Holly, short for Halloween.

I don't know what it is that children always puts a smile on my face. Thats why I work at a daycare. I think its because of there innocence that gets to me the most heart

So happy! I finally found an anime with somewhat-realistic body sizes! I'm going to cosplay her at Anime North, hopefully. It's a great anime, too. It's called Blue Drive.

This too is sacred My happy thought: Right now I'm video calling back to my house, where my hubby and son are (though Gabe is asleep for the night), and we're all hanging out together and playing on the Wii. smile I haven't seen my friend Will in a while, and Amanda and K drove me here, so I haven't seen them in a week and a bit. It's fun times! love as thou wilt

While walking with a friend ( whee ) from my ed classes today, she told me she had always seen me as a very confident person and has wished on many occasions to be like me, confident. (I hope she can reach a point where she will be called confident by someone. She's a very sweet girl, great to hang around, but also a fatty like me. Only I'm a pear, and she's an apple. Apples and pears instead of apples and oranges!)
It surprised me a little, but mostly I'm super-duper glad that I happen to come across as confident. I mean, I try, but everyone gets self-conscious at times. And I can be pretty shy (especially in big groups), too. So this is definitely a happy thought. (: Pretty sure I have FA and Eladrin and Kate Harding to thank for this.

I found more friiiieeeends! The little freshmen in my side of the hall! And we bonded over clothes-trying-on. That's right. We could all try on the same clothes. One of them is Jade, the gorgeous fatty from Hawai'i I mentioned in the rant thread. She had ordered clothes from Faith 21, and we all took turns trying them on. We're all size 10+. It was SO NICE. I've never been able to do that with ANY of my friends prior to this EVER.
I would not mind living in a quad with them. C:
