We apparently have a little resident in our veggie plants. ^-^
My brother named her Gardenia. Long story, but she's so awesome. =D She let me take a bunch of photos of her a couple Saturdays ago.

Aw, she's kinda cute! Did you know Praying Mantis only have one ear? Just felt like pointing that out. razz

thts soo cool! one time we had like 3 on our front porch, 2 brown and one green, at first i was freaked out but then i loved to look at them. but sadly the neighborhood alley cat came and ate one of them T.T

@ samee2014: I like watching them, too. We got started way back as kids, when we took a summer class at the local kid's museum and got to take home half an egg sack of praying mantis eggs. We were supposed to keep them in a coffee tin (because they seal closed to keep the babies in and safe) on top of the fridge for warmth for about a month - ours hatched in about 2 weeks. ^-^ We had about 200 babies go out into our garden in that house!

Radioactive Condoms Aw, she's kinda cute! Did you know Praying Mantis only have one ear? Just felt like pointing that out. razz male praying mantis' have a second brain.. in their butt! xD after mating with a female she eats his head. so he uses that brain to survive a few more days. gosh, i watched waaaay too much animal planet when i was little

She is absolutley adorable!! I actually got to see a female praying mantis bite the male's head off on a 5th grade field trip. It was AWESOMO!! XDD

Good to know I'm not the only one in love with these interesting creatures! I named mine Puck, he's dead now, but I'm going to buy some egg cases in the spring.

I remember one time when I was about 5 we went on a picnic and my mom found a praying mantis in her lunch box and freaked out(she hates anything that flies really), but my sister and I brought it home. xD
