So this fall i will be going to New York and I want to experience the "Real" NY. Of course i will be visiting some of the main tourist sites, The statue of Liberty, Empire state building, the museums ect. But Id like to get a feel for the New York Hippie scene. So Id like some help with some places i should visit. Id also like to visit the different neighborhoods and sample different cultural foods and lifestyles. Any help would be awesome! 3nodding

i was going to move there. if we had more time to look for a place we would have. my mother doesn't plan stuff, so when i lived with her moving was all about impulse. and we couldn't keep staying in hotels so we moved to nj instead. but i visited a few times, and my mother worked in manhattan so she was there most of the time.
i got my septum pierced at venus modern body arts in east village. nyc was neat-o, to say the least.
