Layla sat in her usual daze staring at the stars just appearing at dusk. She rather liked it after a nice dinner and "special" herbs. She really didn't care about much at this time of day. Just sitting around, waiting for something to happen.

A dark purple and blindingly lime green male lion trudged his way beneath the stars. He played with their reflections dully, stomping on them with his paws when ever or where ever they shown bright enough too. A long glowing green tongue lolled out of his mouth, acid dripping off it and burning its way through the sand at a rapid pace. He blinked at a few of the holes, his orange eyes glancing at them with no realization that he was causing them to appear. "Woah!" he mumbled, not yet aware of the lioness - which was rather odd for him since he seemed to have a female radar.

Layla blinked slowly, as she registered that another lion was there with her. She was taken aback by his feirce coloring and presence.
"Woah man.... You are awesome...." she said in her slowed out drawl. The stuff she had in her stash had to be awesome stuff to produce this kind of stuff. "You blow my mind man...." She smiled and slowly closed her eyes halfway and let her bandanna ends fall by her eyes.
"Feel like reading the stars my cosmic friend?" she said peacefully.

Gormagon blinked and jumped in his place at the sound of a voice. Spotting a lioness, a grin spread from one corner of his jaws to the other. The acid drool dripping down his chin now flowed like a raging river. "Well hallo Love!" he said in the smoothest voice he could muster. Licking a paw, he ran it back through his mane, causing what was already blinding lime green fur to grow even brighter.
Padding over slowly, he blinked at her again. "Your awesome too! I like the stars." he laughed, plopping down on his stomach. "What'cha gunna read to 'em?"

Layla chuckled at the trippy colored lion as he flopped down near her. It wasn't a laugh that was to be mean, just one she had for every lion she met that made her happy. She tossed her head back and put her paw out and moved it across the field of stars as if they were pebbles across a table.
"We are going to read them, my groovy friend." She looked at them with half closed eyes and smiled at them, "They have seen much, and can tell us things about ourselves that other's can't." She looked at the lion next to him and smiled in a mellowed way, "They watch us every day and night from their perch from the sky, and thus know who we are better than ourselves..."

Gormagon lifted his muzzle to the sky and stared at the stars as she explained everything. He took in all her words, and watched as she waved her paw across the sky. A few stars seemed to twinkle and glitter as she did so, as if responding to her touch.
Lifting his own massive paw he waved it over the sky and frowned when nothing happened. Turning his orange gaze back to her, he studied her for a moment, before speaking. "Woooaaahh.... they are like....mini stalkers! Thats ....thats kinda creepy actually."
Blinking back up at them, he narrowed his eyes as if muttering some silent threat. "How can ya read em, they are so far away!" he said, his air headedness rather common.
