The black Angora weaved her way down the back streets of a small neighborhood, her tube of paintbrushes clinking with the sound of wood on wood with every step she took. It was a gorgeous day out, the sun shone and soft clouds lay scattered throughout the sky. Her blue eyes watches them drift lazily by, she was checking out Ikebokuro from top to bottom, if she was going to live here she had to know where everything was.
This entire area felt different than others, quiet and serene, the small silver pentacle bouncing on her chest. She smelled something; food, hot food, her mouth watered with the smell and she drifted towards it, it smelled of chicken and turkey, drizzled with gravy. The thought made Minagi wipe a hand over her mouth to make sure she wasn't drooling all over the place.
A open window was the source of the smell, strong and swell Minagi set down her brushes and leaped up, there she could see just below the sill was the source of the smell a large plate of carved poultry, just as she had imagined it. Reached down she snatched up a few slices, craving mouths down her throat. She didn't see any humans, so she was safe for the moment, but if she could she was going to take as much of this with her as she could. She grabbed up as many slices as she could, as many as would fill the large gap in her tube of brushes. Filled and piece dangling from her mouth she left, when the humans who lived here found a good portion of their food gone they weren't going to be happy.
And sure enough as Minagi made it only a few houses over she heard loud curses and the open window she had snuck through slammed shut.

At the disappearance of her kit, valiant had become even more distanced from the rest of the Anbu understandably, but even more so from Raco. She knew it hurt him, seeing her so dead inside and out. A week after her baby was taken she had left the hollow of his tree and slept in one of the only secluded parts of the forest, only showing up to eat and prove to them she was still alive, if barely. Most of the time she picked at what little food she had and fed it to the birds she shared a tree with. Her baby may be staring somewhere; the thought was all it took to make the Manx shun herself from the thought. It was a strange day, the leaves above her making dappled shadows on her pale skin, when she thought up her idea… she would go to one of the new recruits… tell them Youko had sent her on a mission to clear her head, and goddess be damned if she did not find her child. All it took was that thought… and the Manx slipped from the trees and darted to the scenery by the lake. ~~~ Ishtar stared at the tree with distain, and then coldly at the warrior that had so calmly explained what had happened. His fists shook with hardly contained malice. “you have no idea what you have done do you? A woman of our ranks that had just lost her child, she could hurt someone with madness… or worse yet she could hurt herself you idiotic being!” He shook out his hands and looked down at the shredded bread she had dropped for the birds just that morning, there was no doubt about it, the firm boot tracks in the soft floor… his mother was gone. Quietly he went to find Raco and relay the devastating news… Valiant was gone. ~~~ Raina smelled the fresh food a couple of houses over and growled impatiently at the lock that stood between her and the source. She loved the eccentric woman she shared the house with, but when she fell into meditation and Raina was left to her own devices, the kit often found that her food dish was empty long before the woman awoke. The smell of the meat cooked by the neighbors was intoxicating, and the young familiar wanted nothing more than to devour as much of it as she could. Her mismatched eyes looked back at her owner with longing, she knew better then to touch the female when she was in this state, or try to wake her, for the consequences were a lash of energy she could neither see nor understand. So instead she meowed fiercely at the window and pawed at it… hoping someone could help her, but knowing most cats avoided the housed streets the Victorian resided in.

Minagi's large ears twitches and she looked around, spotting the little kitten pawing with all her might at the window; desperate. She could help herself, she had to help, or at the very least attempt to help the little one. She had a soft spot, she always had for helping others, she'd been shooed away, yelled at, kicked at, cursed at, all because she was black, and yet those who did not condemn her for it often saw her gentle, trusting nature. Something told her this was a quality from another life she had lived through, been expected to be so different and was despised for it.
She leaped up to the window and pulled up at it...locked, damn it all...there had to be an unlocked window on the house somewhere. She looked it over and saw one that looked like she could pry it open. "Over there" she said loudly enough for her words to get through the glass, pointing at the next window. She slipped over to the next window, sure enough it was cracked open just enough to get her finger in through and pull. The window creaked and strained, almost acting against her. She didn't need it to open too much though, cats were knows to squeeze through small holes from their lack of a true collarbone.

Raco sat with Karin in the main of the camp, his head resting on her shoulder and he drifted in and out of sleep. Her own head tilted over on his, it had been a long night, another set of raiders had tried to get passed them. they had failed to get passed the Anbu, but most of them had run like idiots and tracking them all down and kicking them out had been a pain int eh a**. A few bold, fools had thought they could make a match against some of the Anbu, one in particular, a spunky young male had tried Raco, he's busted his lip and tore open his cheek and left his well beaten, but not quite mutilated, though he'd wanted to. He yawned finally letting himself drift, he'd been working three times as hard since Raina's disappearance, anything to get it off of his mind. And now his thoughts were filled with her again, calling out to him to find her, but how could he? He'd looked and to no avail.

Ishtar growled and hit the table hard, unable to control his temper. Across from him Karin and Raco rested, and Ishtar felt envious of it. Hell would the other even blink an eye that Valiant had disappeared, more than likely to end her life or the life of another fool hearted cat?! The words were disjointed in his mind, what… how he could describe what it was he was feeling. It was like his heart was beating off key, loosing something that he valued, something he cherished so dearly, it was almost enough to break him. He felt the wetness long after he had begun to silently mourn what was to happen in the near future. Desperatly the male looked about the camp, searching, until he found a bottle of Sake, downing as much as he could before he walked over to Racos side, pushing it lightly. “Raco… Valiant’s gone… more than likely to off herself or something. No note, only told the guard you and Youko sent her off on a mission… she’s gone Raco. And she didn’t take me.” He then turned away with shame on his features, he had done his duty, he had told a upper level master of the situation, tear tracks were drying down his cheeks when went to find more sake. ~~~ The young kitten followed the other extremely happy that she had a way out… a way to find food… a way… a way to find her family! She mewed happily as she squeezed through the gap in the window and pounced on the new female in gratitude. “Thank you so much miss… I never would have gotten out had you not been here!” Her eyes twinkled with happiness. “I really don’t know how much I could repay you… but if we were to find my parents… I’m sure they would offer you anything you would like. See out of curiosity I went out wandering alone… the dreamy eyed woman in there saved me from a car, and took me home with her… calling me weird names like familiar… in all actuality… I would just like to be with my family again.” She bit her trembling lip and looked down, obviously blushing under her fur and self conscious by the whole situation… could she really trust this strange female?
