The 12th of July was our Friesian mare, Jasmine's first horse show. After a month of professional training and work at home we believed she was ready to venture out and start her show career. We we all a bit worried since it was her first show and we didn't know how she would act away from home again and away from her barn buddy, Cookie. But when we got to the show grounds, which was 12 mins from my house, she was surprisingly calm, mostly curious we think. So all those great things you do before you class came and went and it was our time in the ring. A Walk/Trot divison consisiting of four classes. She was behaved in the ring, a nice slow trot and she listened well with five other horses and riders in the ring. We goth a 5th in Equitation, 6th in Pleasure(spooked at a shed) and 5th in Command(she just moved a tinsy tiny bit) The last class was a cross rail clas. Now she does jump, not really good, but I just decided, what the hay, lets just go for it. We got disqualified. She wasn't to confident with all the jumps around, but no bigge. We came out of that class smiling anyways. All in all she might not have done a champion performance but we still went out there and did it. We made the FPZV proud. biggrin She's still young and has a whole lifetime to show so we'll keep on trying
