well as some of you may know final fantasy XI will be coming out for xbox 360 sometime around may (at least from what ive heard) and being a big final fantasy VII fan as well as online RPG fan ive decided when it comes out it will be the perfect addition to my collection of games. however i am not familiar with how the game operates at all, or any of the short forms for things. also i see there are alot of servers, how do i go about choosing one when the time comes? also are there any characters/jobs i should avoid? are there any you can reccomend while starting out? anything else you can tell me about it as well would be very helpful, just want to have an idea of it all. thanks ^_^

Well, The character choice is completely up to you. If you plan on being a Mage, which excrutiatingly High MP, then I would recommend Being a Taru.

Other Races for Mages are just as good, it all depends on what you choose in the beginning, and How you play later on.

It is completely up to you.

Your server will be preselected unless someone gives you a World Pass (WP) to go to their server.

With XBOX 360 having FFXI, I am sure they will add new servers especially for you guys.

My tip to you is to be careful on what Race you become. If you become a Tarutaru and want to level Warrior, (or any melee job), then you'll have almost no HP and die alot and if you decide to become a Galka and try to be a whm, (or and mage job), you'll have little MP which will get lots of deaths in your party.
Like a day before you get the game, if you want, PM me and I can give you a world pass and I can help you out with your quests, missions, and leveling. But if you make your character and you forget to get a world pass, you can end up on any server so beware. surprised

well, ill welcome you to the game early, cuz ill forget in months lol. and ill extend an invitation for you to join Lakshmi server, ill buy you the world pass should u choose to join it lol. im sure others have or will offer, but just know if you choose to go Lakshmi, ill get ya in *winks dorkily* feel free to befriend me here so you know my name when the time comes lol.

as for what job to start as, depends on what you wanna do in the game. MNK is a good way to be a fighter, BLM obviously does the most damage as a mage... tho red mage allows you to do all types of magic, plus gives you a few magics only RDM can use. but also, there will be a new job available around the time you get to play.. Blu Mage, tho if its an advanced job, you have a way to go before you can play that.

ive leveled every job (except Dark Knight and Samurai whichi havent finished unlocking yet) at least up to 10. that gives youa lil time to try out each job and find which ones you do and do not like. just play and have fun ^*^
