The Three Relics Literate Roleplay Thread
"A Pokemon Trainer is a person who devotes their time and life to their Pokemon. They have trust in their Pokemon, as their Pokemon have trust in them. They take care of each other, no matter what." Blaine - Pokemon Special 35, PG 13
The Slateport Beach Party has come and gone, but not without consequence. Friendships have been fractured, hearts have been broken, and now most struggle amid the devastation caused by Team Rocket to overcome these obstacles and continue on with their lives. Who will find the strength within themselves to do so? Only they know...
Many journeys start anew as a ship bound for the new and mysterious Sinnoh region departs from Lilycove City at noon following the eve of the Breeder's Gala, bringing not only the thrill and excitement of new adventures, but also new challenges, friends and Pokemon as well to those willing to make the trip overseas.

Crush came off the wave with little effort. The shore was very near now. He was about to drop onto his stomach when he saw a scuffle on the beach. It looked like some kid was out numbered by a trio of corphish. "Looks like those little dudes could use a hand."
Still balancing on his surf board, Crush drew out one of his pokeballs. "C'mon out Ardah and let's give those bullies a taste of their own medicine."
With that the surfer boy threw the pokeball into the air and in a flash of white out came the bronze disc pokemon that had been contained within. "Zor zor!" It chimed cheerly as it appeared on the shore hovering above the sand.
"Use your confusion, Ardah, so I've got time to get to shore!" He called out as he dropped to his stomach and with powerful strokes began gliding the rest of the way to shore.
The bronze pokemon began to spin, kicking up some of the sand, and then irregular waves of psychic energy crashed out towards the ruckus on the beach.

Sam literally twiddled her thumbs. She wasn't about to jump out on the dance floor, and she didn't want to go talk to the breeders. She was itching to leave, but she didn't want to miss anything, or leave Orion here alone. Of course, seeing as he had disappeared again, she didn't know if he had already left. Amazingly, she still had a cheery mood about her. She knew how to entertain herself even if she had absolutely nothing to do. She watched the ceiling, humming softly. Her humming grew to singing, this time singing in Italian. "Caro mio ben, credimi almen. Senza di te, languisce il cor. Il tuo fedel, sospiro ognor. Cesa crudel, tanto rigor." She finished the song, making a small mistake with her voice cracking a bit. She cursed silently. 'Always in the same spot...'
"Excuse me?" She looked up. A young brunette man, maybe 20 years old, was standing next to her, holding a violin. "That was very pretty, if I must say so. You have some talent in you." Sam smiled and looked down.
"Merci beaucoup, I just sing when I'm happy. Are you part of the orchestra?"
"Yes, I am. I have a little break now. Would you like to hear me play? My pokemon plays along with me, it's really pretty, tres jolie," he said, smiling a bit.
"Of course, I enjoy music. It's a bit loud in here though. How about outside?" She was curious to see what type of pokemon could play an instrument. He bowed.
"Lead the way." She got up and went outside. She thought she saw Serenity talking to a purple-haired girl. She sat on the ledge of a planter. He removed a ball Sam didn't recognize, a blue one with a net design. He released a red bug-looking pokemon with a mustache that came up to about half her height. She didn't see any instruments about him, and she didn't like bugs. The man started playing a piece she didn't recognize, and the bug put it's arms together. It rubbed them, and a sound very similar to the violin was produced. It played in perfect harmony to violin. Sam sat, in a dream state. Without thinking about it, she released Star. Star came out, and, upon hearing the music, attempted to do some form of ballet. She fell over backwards. A sudden bright light enveloped her. The man and the bug kept on playing, though the man did watch with some concern, and excitement. Sam hadn't the slightest clue what was happening, but she figured she must have accidentally pressed the button on Star's pokeball. While she waited for Star to be returned to the ball, she realized the light wasn't red, and Star was getting bigger. She started to get concerned as well. She stood up and stared into the face of her new Marshtomp. She blinked a few times, and then helped her up. Star, now bipedal, finished her ballet dance, then bowed as the song ended. Sam clapped, a bit dazed that her pokemon had evolved. The man shook her hand.
"Well that was amazing! I didn't know my music had that power," he said as he laughed heartily, "Now I'm sorry , but I must be going. I believe my break is over. I hope you enjoyed the music."
"Oh I did, very much so. What is your pokemon?" The little bug hadn't stopped playing, and seemed to be making it up as he went along.
"This is my Kricketune, Stradivari. He's a Sinnoh pokemon." Sam smiled at the reference.
"Thank you for the little concert. And I think Star is happy too." The man walked off. She held Star's hand, and watched him go. Star was busily inspecting her new form, surprised. Although she hadn't liked it earlier, now that she was a Marshtomp herself, she of course loved it! It was just fan-ta-bulous!

Train nodded. "Yeah, I'd like to think she's already making a little improvement," Upon his asking if she'd like to heal her Pokèmon, she replied, "No, that's alright. I healed them just last night, and the only Pokèmon we fought today was that Spearow I tried to get." She laughed a bit, because, now that she thought about it, accidently capturing that Rattata had really worked to her advantage.
As the two walked over to the trading machine, Pikachu tilted his head a bit, wondering what the thing did, as he'd never seen it being used before. It had always just sort of been there, so he was curious as to what might happen.+=+=+=+ It didn't take long for Leon's mom to arrive, and as soon as Banana landed she reached out and grabbed Leon's coat, half-dragging onto the Tropius with her, and soon they were right back in the air.
Lily glanced back at her son and said, "Oh, come on, don't look so down! It's going to be fun!" To which Leon just rolled his eyes. The two were silent for the rest of the ride, save for Lily making comments every once in a while about much fun this was going to be, or how cute he'd look in a tux, or something of the sort. Leon was relieved when he finally saw Lilycove come into view, as it meant he could finally get away from all his mother's excitement about such a dumb thing.

When Kasiya got back inside she headed back to her station, still carrying Nova in her arms. The young Charmander looked around, eyes wide, at all the people around them. When the duo made it back to the counter she was surprised to find that Saul was waiting there for her. "Oh, hello," she said, worry building up in the pit of her stomach. He must have saw me yelling at Keegan earlier... I'm so gonna get fired... She wanted to say something in her defense but the knot in her stomach wouldn't let her, so she just clung to the baby Charmander, waiting for the worst.
"You've done good work so far this evening, Miss Rachael," he said, nodding. "But I believe you would be better off serving guests out on the floor. You're far to personable to be stuck behind this counter." Grinning he reached out and patted the Charmander on the head.
Kasiya blinked a few times, and nodded. "S-sure, that sounds great! Thanks!" She had to recall Nova so that she could hold a tray and not lose the young Pokemon, and she quickly realized that it could be pretty tricky with her arm the way it was. The crowd had thinned out quite a bit by now, otherwise it probably would have been harder to do this job than she thought it would be. Mostly, she just handed out glasses of champagne, water, or various soft drinks to people, as well as collected empty ones, and though it was slightly more difficult than the mini bar job, she did find it to be a lot more fun, especially now that she was moving around. The night's going to go by a lot faster now, she thought, though in the back of her mind she kept her eyes open for a certain redhead, hoping she'd get another chance to try and make things right.
=-=-=-=-= Zaira quickly pulled herself into a sitting position, and gave her head a shake. She wasn't hurt, just a little dazed from her tumble. "Shinx?" she asked, looking up at the man in the funny coloured pants. "Shinx, shinx!" She stood up and arched her back much like a cat, obviously wanting for Venerax to pet her.
Karrigan listened carefully to Bill's words, feeling a little less awkward after he was finished. I never considered that before, she thought, watching Zaira beg for attention from Venerax. Electric Pokemon being energetic, unable to sit still for long. That would make a lot of sense, seeing as Aegeus is a Rock-type and he is quite calm and docile... kind of like, well, a rock. Maybe I'll be able to handle Zaira's boundless energy a little better from now on, thanks to that little tidbit of information. She cast a respectful look towards the researcher. I guess he really does know his stuff, Professor Rowan was right in sending me here first. Her gaze fell back upon Venerax, and she silently wondered what he was doing here. She highly doubted that he was a researcher like Bill, or even an assistant.

"Ah, how impolite of me!" Mitsu laughed nervously, "I'm Mitsu, nice to meet you Serenity." She smiled though her smile shrank at the mentioning of yesterday's events. "It's hard not be," she replied quietly though her tone serious. She shook her head, and picked a lighter tone as she continued, "But yeah, nice meeting you. Perhaps we'll talk again on a better note. See you around."
And with that Mitsu walked back into the Gala via the main entrance. She didn't need some girl to bum her out tonight. Of course yesterday's events were still fresh in everyone's minds, but that didn't mean that they were just going to let tonight go to waste. She'd make the best of tonight. Though she had to admit it was a lot easier with Kilik around. She spent a few minutes meandering around the main room before somehow ending up in the Hoenn room. There she spotted the abnormally tall boy in his dashing crimson coat. "Hi Kilik," she said lightly, slipping her hand into his with a slight smile.

'Nothing there?' Riza repeated mentally, quickly thinking back to yesterday when she'd first saw them together. She'd seen the way Kasiya looked at him after the egg had hatched and vice versa, and she was sure she hadn't been the only one to notice that. 'I'm still not getting the whole story,' she thought, closing her eyes. She recalled that they'd arrived at Rowan's seminar together, so she figured that something must have happened during the Rocket attack. Kasiya'd said something about him listening to the Rocket's lies so it was a logical step to conclude that one of the Rockets must have said some awful, and untrue things in order to try and break the two of them up. 'But why would Team Rocket care about the relationship between a couple of teenagers?' she wondered idly, though she had to agree with Kasiya in the end, if Keegan was stupid enough to believe the words out of the mouths of the likes of Team Rocket over his own girlfriend then he really was an idiot.
"Thanks," she said, a little surprised by his gentlemanly gesture, though she accepted the jacket and slipped it on, her chill quickly fading as the warmth covered her bare skin. "But won't you be cold now?" she asked, glancing back towards the contest hall. It looked warm and friendly and inviting but she was hesitant to head back right away. * * * * * 'If that spark hits it could be all over,' Katie thought, stealing a glance at Lilah. She wasn't sure what was more important about this battle, Genki winning, or not having Lilah tagging along, as Katie wasn't much of a people person. "Dodge it, Genki!" she called out finally. "I know you can outrun that overgrown kitten!"
The Monferno looked back at Katie and nodded, he fully agreed with that statement. He grinned impishly at the Luxio as it neared him and he crouched low, then used his strong legs to launch himself up and over the attacking Pokemon, doing an aerial somersault before coming to land gracefully back on his feet again. The playful Pokemon laughed and clapped his hands excitedly after executing his dodge, that had been fun!
"Awesome, Genki!" Katie cheered, also clapping her hands. 'He's so much more agile now that he's evolved,' she thought fondly, realizing now that it had been for the better. Sure, she'd miss the adorable little Chimchar that he used to be, but she was quickly learning to love his stronger, more agile form.

The electricity covering Luxio's body seemed to flare up a little brighter as he neared his target, a slight sneer covering his face as he jumped in for the attack. But suddenly, the Monferno wasn't there anymore and instead of landing a hit on his opponent, Luxio found himself slamming face-first into the ground, all the built-up electricity dissipating harmlessly into the soft earth around him. The Spark Pokemon whimpered as pain shot up through his chest and throughout his forelegs and though his legs were shaking, he forced himself to his feet and glared sharply at Genki, growling angrily when he realized the monkey was laughing at him for hurting himself.
"Ooh, that was rough," Lilah cringed, feeling bad for her poor Luxio. "But we're not done yet, are we, Luxio?" she called. The catlike Pokemon nodded, continuing to bare his teeth at the Monferno. "Use Charge again! We'll teach that monkey not to make a fool of us!" The Luxio's tail thrashed back and forth, showing the Pokemon's anger as once again he began to build up power within his body.
=-=-=-=-= Before heading outside yet again, Jaeshan had deposited Nidoking into his storage system after making the Drill Pokemon promise he'd behave himself, mainly because he still wanted to focus on his newer Pokemon, especially now that he had a young Weedle in his party. First and foremost Jaeshan headed down to the harbor area so that he could figure out when the next ferry headed for Slateport was departing, which he quickly discovered wouldn't be until about 9:00am tomorrow morning. That long? he thought sullenly. He really wanted to get off this island and start making his way towards Mauville, where his next gym match awaited him, but unless he suddenly sprouted wings or acquired his very own yacht, he was stuck.
Not being one to dwell on his troubles Jaeshan decided to make the best of it and he decided to go out and have himself a well deserved swim at the beach. He'd passed by a beautiful spot on the way back from Granite Cave and after changing into his swim trunks and leaving most of his things behind safe and sound in a locker, he and his party of five headed back out for some fun in the sun. We deserve it since we really didn't do this yesterday during the actual beach party, he thought, slightly amused. It didn't take long for them to arrive and without hesitation Jaeshan released his Pokemon, save for the new Weedle, as he wasn't sure how the little guy would react to suddenly being with a new trainer. Blaziken seemed quite happy to be out of her Pokeball and she stretched her legs eagerly, though upon seeing no opponent she realized it was time for relaxation and she plopped down in the sand, enjoying the warm sun on her already very-warm body. Shelgon simply settled down in the sand next to Blaziken after taking in her new form. Metang and Butterfree seemed to be content to just hang around, though the butterfly was disappointed that there were no flowers around. Jaeshan spread out a blanket and sat down on it, holding the Weedle's Pokeball in his hands. "Now's a good time as any," he said, before releasing the small Pokemon.
=-=-=-=-= "All right then, if you're ready." Though he was only getting a Rattata in return Callum still seemed to be quite happy about the trade. He was humming a strange tune somewhat off-key as they reached the trade machine and without hesitation he picked a side and set the Growlithe's Pokeball in the tray. "Would you care to do the honors?" he asked, grinning like a kid in a candy store.

Tyra listened half-heartedly to the girl as they continued walking. Tyra upon hearing about the Miltanks milk her nose turned upwards. She hated the taste and the smell of milk. It was not something that she enjoyed. With Hunter at her side she was glad Miharu didn’t make any comments about it. She stuffed her hands in her pocket and made a sound of approval on the time comment. Sure Tyra wasn’t one for conversation there was no mistaking that, but she did enjoy the sound of someone else’s voice. Knowing she didn’t want to throw the company to the side, and maybe one day she could battle Miharu she decided to keep the conversation going somehow.
“Yeah we are.” She said the feeling of stupidity settling itself down on her unable to think of anything else.

"Oh Luffy look out!" Robin cried as the Gyarados came lunging down at him its mouth full of ice. It was a good thing that Luffy seemed to think that maybe getting hit by that attack would not be fun at all no matter how cool it looked.
Luffy did the best he could to jump away from the Gyarados but with his waterlogged fur and his all ready hurt tail hands there was just no way he could avoid it all the way. Still he managed to avoid part of it and instead got hit with a powerful looking icy tackle. Luffy cried out in pain as he was launched across the arena before landing hard on the water and skipping a few times before coming to a stop at the side of the pool. The hurt but still rather determined Ambipom pulled himself out of the pool before glancing back over at the powerful Gyarados. Just because he was at and extreme disadvantage didn't mean he was going to give up on this fight. Oh no it didn't. Before he could shake himself off and jump back in though Robin spoke up.
"Hey Misty, it looks like you win this one. There is no way Luffy can win this fight well not with out getting really hurt and I don't see the need for him to do that. So I am going to throw in the towel. Your a lot stronger when you aren't using your gym pokemon." Robin laughed at that last part before she walked over to the dripping wet Luffy and held her hand out to him. "Come on buddy. We need to get a lot stronger if we are gunna be facing great trainers like Misty from now on." She smiled at Luffy as the two headed out of the gym hand in injured tail hand. "Thanks for the fun battle Misty, that had to be the most fun I have had all day!" Was the last thing Robin said before she stepped outside.

The booth Dante had picked to look at was a bug type pokemon breeder who was looking, truth be told a little bored. The man perked up though when Dante and Hera approached.
"Why hello there pretty lady! Thats a mighty fine looking Heracross you have there." The man said a bit to enthusiastically for Dante's taste.
"Yes would you believe I caught her earlier today." Dante said somewhat boredly but in a bit more high pitched tone, just because his friends knew he was a guy didn't mean he wanted to go broadcasting it to everyone else.
Hera herself was looking around enthusiastically at some of the eggs he had on display. She was sure that the blue one at the end of the table was a Heracross egg to! She had seen just a few eggs before, she herself wasn't quite at the right age to have her own set of eggs but still it was all very interesting for her.
"Really now? I was sure that she would have been breed. Then again she looks really young, not nearly enough marks on her shell to be to old." Now that he had a listening audience the man didn't look like he wanted to stop talking about bug pokemon for a while. It was a good thing that Dante didn't mind to much since he didn't know a lot about bug pokemon anyway. "Yup, most people just want there Heracross to have a nice shiny shell with no marks on it. Unfortunately the shell only gets harder with the more battles and marks they have on it. So a lot of Heracross these days are just not quite up to snuff. The one you have though, she had some good healthy marks on her shell, she's gunna be a tough one when she gets a few more battles for her."
"Hmm I didn't know that." Dante looked down at the happy looking Heracross at his side. It was true her shell was mostly untouched except for a few little scrapes here and there. "You hear that Hera, you need to get into some more battles to make your shell harder."
Looking up at her trainer Hera almost scoffed slightly. Of course she needed to get into some more battles! How was she ever going to become a powerful pokemon if she didn't get into more battles and have more marks to show off her battle prowess.

Train happily took up at place at the opposite end of the machine, and at this point she realized that she'd never actually put the Rattata's PokèBall away--she'd been carrying it in both hands nearly the whole time. She placed the ball on the tray in front of her as a small smile crept onto her face, and she nodded at Callum. "Okay!" She pressed the large red button in the middle of the machine, and both PokèBalls were quickly sucked up into the machine.
The teenager watched excitedly as the pictures of each Pokèmon appeared on the screen above the machine, and slowly drifted across and past each other. Once they both had completely stopped moving and were on the opposite side of the screen from their starting point, both balls dropped out in front of their new owners. Train reached out and picked up the ball with her left hand, her face shining brightly as she stared proudly at what was now her Growlithe.+=+=+=+ Soon the two had arrived at Leon's parents' house, and his mom ushered him right through the door and into the living room, where a tux was draped over the back of the couch. Leon made absolutley no move towards it, so his mother pushed him forward until he was right in front of the couch.
"Go put it on. We're late."
Leon groaned inwardly and swiped the tux off of the couch, turning on his heels and striding without a word past his mother. He quickly changed into the thing and came back out, ignoring the cries of, "Oh, you look so handsome!" and "It's so cute!" Jeez, what was he, five? Before he knew it, his mother was ushering both Leon and his dad out the door, and they began the short walk to where the Gala was being held.

Crenu watched as the rocks slammed into Seviper, helpless to stop the attack as it had just switched in. But the big deadly looking snake just slithered out of the rubble, looking otherwise alright. "I don't know what that move was Pupitar, but if you had done as I asked you might have won...no that's not true, is it Ken?" He said, recalling Pupitar and directing his words at Kenneth. Crenu played that battle the best eh could, but Ken had a counter for every move and was well prepared. It was clear to Crenu now that he didn't stand a chance against Hismagius, maybe against any of Kenneth's pokemon. But that didn't mean Crenu was going to give up. By the looks of the pokemon Ken had sent out, it was most likely a poison type. Best thing to send out was another poison type. Especially one with some attacks that would pick up neutral damage. "Alright Ariados, don't let me down here." Crenu tossed her pokeball out into the battle ground that was a bit chewed up now. Crenu took a moment to ponder just who was responsible for restoring battle sites seeing as battles could break out anywhere and any time in this world of theirs. But that was a thought for later, he would have to stop his rapid fire brain for now as he concentrated all his stray thoughts on making multiple strategies. Mismagius was Ken's first pokemon so it was no surprise she was so strong, but this Seviper had unknown potential. If anything that meant a hope for victory.
"Oh you poor girl, but those rocks didn't hurt to bad did they?" He asked, ignoring Crenu for the most part as he spoke to his Seviper. "Ok honey, let's have some fun with this one ok? Otherwise poor little Shiro won't learn a thing." He didn't mean to sound condescending or anything, but even Seviper got the impression that he was. But never the less she would happily carry out her orders. "Ok Shiro, show me your flare for battle! Seviper dear squeeze that cute spider of his please." Seviper hissed and opened her mouth wide as she darted forward, already coiling and tightening her muscular body to crush the Long Leg Pokemon.
Ariados clicked violently at the threatening serpent that closed in with every passing second. She had to admit that the razor like blade at the tip of her tail and those big fangs were a bit intimidating, but Ariados wasn't easily shaken and she could look fierce as well. But Crenu didn't issue any commands for her to carry out. What was he waiting for? Seviper wrapped her body around Ariados and began to constrict, her body long enough that even with a solid grip her head had enough slack to hang back and watch her opponent. Ariados resisted the squeeze with all her strength doing her best not to buckle under the pressure being applied. "Ariados, Hidden Power." Oh so this was the plan, of course it was so obvious! Ariados Stopped struggling to keep from being crushed for a brief moment, letting off the glowing yellow orbs that she'd recently learned to produce thanks to Crenu's gift. She hated the way this big serpent was looking at her smugly, hopefully that would teach her to hold on so tightly.
Seviper felt a powerful discharge of electricity flow through her as the Hidden Power orbs left Ariado's body and sank into hers. The jolt was enough to send her systems for a nasty ride and made her loosen her grip, to which her spidery opponent wasted no time in scurrying out of. "Oh bravo Shiro, bravo! An excellent show of the sit and wait predator style of an Ariados with a nice twist. But you know, we've got some surprises to Shiro, Ariados isn't the only one who can play at the ambush predator game. Seviper dear, use Dig!" Seviper hissed happily, not sure why Ken hadn't used this move from the beginning. Seviper pushed herself up and leaped up into the air, coming down on her crown with some real force as she drove her body into the ground. and soon disappeared. Things were silent as Seviper burrowed aroudn under ground getting into position and waiting for her opening.
"What!? You can't be serious...damn it!" Crenu showed some very uncharacteristic emotions as he lost his trademark level headed appearance for the first time in a while. His face stuck in a fierce frown, baring his teeth and clenching his fists as he tried to figure out just how this flamboyant clown of a trainer was handling things so expertly. Kenneth seemed to be ready for every situation and did everything with that stupid smile and friendly attitude, it mocked every cell in Crenu's body! The difference between them couldn't be this much, and ken wasn't even gloating or being full of himself in any way almost making it seem like he and Crenu were equals in this fight. Damn it! It didn't make any sense, he was clearly the more focused, the better disciplined...logically Crenu should be winning this battle! Surely it wasn't all due to the time spent training, even if Ken's pokemon had been under his care for longer than Crenu's pokemon had been under his there was no way that someone like that could come out on top. There had to be more to it, something else was definitely at play here, he just didn't see what it was yet. Crenu continued to scope his opponent trying to see what he was missing, to busy to notice that Seviper had been underground for a while now and he hadn't issued a command.
Ken noticed Crenu's hesitation and apparent loss of focus, not really sure what was vexing the usually calm guy. But this wasn't an opportunity to be wasted, though he hated to see poor Ariados take a hit so cleanly. "Now Seviper! Oh but try and not be to brutal ok?" Seviper hadn't really heard the second part, or pretended not to, and went on her way. She could feel Ariados on the ground above and dashed for the surface at top speed tearing through the earth like she'd been made for it as she closed in on her clearly confused target. Three seconds....two seconds...one second...contact! Ariados, having recived no commands from her trainer, was in a state of total disarray and helpless to her savage attack. Seviper erupted through the ground's surface, earth and stone scattering everywhere as she rammed into the Long Leg Pokemon and knocking her clear into the air. When Ariados landed, she remained where she lay after a feeble attempt to get back to her feet. "Oh my, that was a bit quicker than I thought. That looked like a critical strike, oh well. Um, return Seviper." He said as he recalled his pokemon, scratching his head. Kenneth didn't want to be rude, but he was winning this a bit easier than he'd thought. "Ah! I know, this is a perfect opportunity to get in some training for my newest sweet heart! Come on out Swinub!" Without a moment's delay Ken sent out his third pokemon. The little brown fuzz ball that was Swinub took form, looking aroudn a bit with his nose as he sniffed the ground around him. "I think this 'll do dear Shiro, I'm getting hungry."
Damn it! What the hell! What just happened! No, I let myself get distracted by useless thoughts and anger. I need to calm down, stray thoughts dull the blade and lost me the last battle. This is why thinking with anything but logic simply doesn't make any sense...alright. This Swinub of his looks to be his weakest pokemon, it doesn't look like he's had it for long. At least I can end this fiasco with one victory...no...I WILL end this with one victory. Crenu took a few deep breaths and again he was to his old self. Though a deep look of anger was still within his eyes buried deep in his cold stare. "Hitmonlee, we've an advantage here. I'm counting on you." Hitmonlee was released, looking aroudn only to see the the little Swinub as his opponent. He turned away from his opponent, and from Crenu. This was beneath him.

Kilik let out a slight yawn. He was rather sleepy, and he did have a big day ahead of him tomorrow. He had to get up early - he definitely wanted to be the first in line to the ship. To him, going to the Sinnoh Region was like starting all over again. Then it hit him. "Starting over?" he whispered to himself, walking down the hall. He first thought of the few Pokemon he captured, but how close he was to them. Except maybe Sudowoodo, but I used her what? Twice? he laughed quietly to himself. "I could always send mom all my Pokemon except Cable. Then again, I had worked my tail off for Lairon to evolve and I can't really see myself without Scizor or Weezing or any of my Pokemon." He let out a huge sigh.
"Though if I get in a jam, I could always call Mom to have her send me one of them," he nodded, "So it's not a total good-bye. I think that's what I might do." Right. When I get home, I'll send Mom and Pops everyone but Cable and I'll start fresh in Sinnoh by adding Chimchar to my ranks! As another thought started to process in his mind, it was cut off by Mitsu holding his hand. "Ay-yay-yay!" he cried out, looking around then to his side where he saw the girl. "This is the second time tonight you've scared the daylights out of me," he said with a laugh, smiling at her.
As he walked with her out into the hall, he heard music coming from another branch of the building. Interested, Kilik took his date, I suppose I could call her that now, he thought, into the room. A room full of slow dancing! No way out of it now. Awkwardly, Kilik slipped his hand out of hers and stepped in front of her, holding his right hand out. "Mitsu," he said, Kilik, this is stupid don't do it. She'll say no. You have two left feet. You can't dance. Remember Jr. High! "May I have this dance?" Kilik, you're a moron. Way to go. She's gonna think you're a fool. No, really, good job.

"Aaaay, my little nacho!" He picked her up literally with one hand and sat her on his shoulder. Though she was tall for a girl, Wake still treated her as if she was still a baby. "You know that before you came along, I did all those things. I remember when your madre was almost due, I was cleaning up the Marsh for the next day!" He let out a wall-shaking laugh, "I came to the hospital covered in mud, grass and bug juice. But she was happy I came anyway." A worker walked passed him when he sighed and the man nearly tipped over. Everything about Crasher Wake was enormous, even his slight sighs were like a gust of wind to a normal person.
"Your mother would be proud of this day!" he put her down, "Now you do what your Papa tells you, okay?" Wake placed his large fists on his hips. "Perhaps you will become the next Pastoria Gym Leader, but that will only happen if you go train!" he turned her around, and began to scoot her out the door. "And I'll put it this way. You either go, or you're grounded and can't do anything."

After leaving Giovanni's office, Mai's mind was set strictly on her new mission, though she couldn't help but feel a slight amount of worry for the Rocket Boss' mindset as she went about her preparations. She couldn't help but feel that venturing to this new Sinnoh would be a lot like when she first went on a 'Pokemon journey' when she was young. Sure, it hadn't been a conventional journey, like other trainers as she was always under the orders of Giovanni, though she'd still earned all eight of the region's badges and collected quite a few Pokemon of her own. "Just like old times," she murmured to herself as she went over which six Pokemon to bring with her. For a while she contemplated bringing a few different ones with her but after a few moments of thought she decided to stick with her regular six, until she made a move to switch the Raichu's Pokeball for her Seviper. She may have an attitude problem but she is pretty tough, plus I've never seen any Pokemon piss off Kero so quickly before... Hoping that she wouldn't regret her decision she quickly went about getting a final few things ready, already knowing what type of persona she'd adopt for this mission.
Once ready she contacted the three lackeys she'd delegated to come with her on his mission and when they were ready, they set out via helicopter to Saffron City. From there, they trekked south to Vermilion City and caught a ferry that took them directly to Lilycove City. At first the lackeys complained about their method of travel, but Mai figured that if they arrived in Lilycove via one of the Rocket helicopters that it might draw in too much attention, especially from those who knew what to look for. It was already late by the time Mai and her crew made it, and almost instantly she sent out the three to the Breeder's Gala, though for recon only - they were not to interact with the children or cause trouble at all. Tomorrow, about an hour or so before the ship left at noon would be when their real work would begin.
=-=-=-=-= The Weedle's sharp, venomous stinger glistened in the sunlight as he materialized on the blanket in front of his new trainer. The bug squinted and shook his head a little, not accustomed to such bright sunlight. After a moment or so, however, his vision adjusted and he was able to gaze clearly up at the human, quickly noting that this was not the same human who had captured him. "Wee-doh?" he asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion. "Weedoh weed?"
"Uh, hi," Jaeshan said, waving at the bug. "I'm Jaeshan and I'm gonna be your trainer from now on. I hope we can be friends," he added, holding out his hand for the bug while also hoping that he wouldn't decide to use him as his new pincushion. The bug stared at him for a moment, letting the news settle in before he glanced around. Butterfree hand landed nearby and was chatting amiably in PokeBug-speak to the Weedle. Whatever the butterfly had said seemed to get through to the Weedle, though, and soon the bug was happily crawling up Jaeshan's arm in order to perch on his shoulder. "Hey, Blaziken, Metang! Shelgon! C'mon over here and meet our new friend, Weedle," the blonde called out. The three Pokemon obeyed without question, each making their way over to their trainer and their new teammate. Shelgon, for the most part, was quite uninterested in the Hairy Bug and soon went back to sleeping in the warm sand. Metang showed his excitement by giving Weedle a ride around the beach, and Jaeshan couldn't help but laugh as the Weedle's happy shrieks echoed around them. Lastly, there was Blaziken, who seemed to be largely unimpressed with this teeny, tiny bug, but after Jaeshan informed her that she hadn't been much bigger when she'd first hatched from her egg, Blaziken decided to give him a chance. Very soon Weedle's new favourite perch, besides Jaeshan's shoulder, was right on top of Blaziken's head, and Blaziken proudly showed off her new strength and speed by racing around the beach, much to Weedle's delight. I knew this was a good idea, Jaeshan thought, watching his Pokemon play together.
=-=-=-=-= Both Callum and his Growlithe watched the exchange on screen take place, and both looked at the sphere as it dropped down into the tray. "Well that was simple," the green-haired young man laughed, picking up the Pokeball that held his new Rattata. "I'm sure you'll raise that Growlithe into a fine, strong Pokemon." Callum's Growlithe let out an approving bark, though he did feel a little sad that one of his pack members was leaving, but when he caught the scent of the new Pokeball he quickly became anxious to find out just what his new teammate was like.
"This might be asking too much, but what would you say to heading back outside and trying out our new Pokemon, so to speak? It doesn't have to be anything serious, just a practice battle. That is, if you're interested."

Mitsu laughed, she really hadn't meant to scare him. . .again. "You could say I take your breath away," she said laughing, "Sorry, sorry, bad joke." She smiled. It was almost odd how happy she felt at the moment despite all the events that had so recently occurred. She was definitely glad that Violet had been able to get them tickets to the Gala. It was a nice way to spend their last day in Hoenn. Tomorrow would be to boat ride to Sinnoh and she could feel that she wasn't going to be back for a while. But when I do some back, I'm getting those last two badges!
Some slow music was increasing in volume as they neared another room of the Contest Hall. It sure was a big building she thought idly. Ah! A dancing room it seemed. There were several couples both old and young spinning in circles, arms interlocked, and feet moving in every which way. She smiled at the scene. She could dance, Liza's mother had taught her when she was younger, and now she'd have to thank her for that when she paid them a visit.
Mitsu smiled at Kilik. "Of course," she replied accepting his hand as gracefully as she could manage.
-----[x]------
Mia couldn't help giggling as her father's little pet names. She'd grown use to being called various Mexican foods, nacho and churro being the ones Wake used most often. She kicked her feet as a little kid would as he placed her on his shoulder. He was so tall it was like she was sitting on a building or something equally as big. Miyamaru didn't quite act her age, being seventeen and all, but she'd found it so much more fun to just be silly and like, well, herself.
I suppose mother would be proud. You are, right, mom? She unconsciously touched the simple orange pendant that hung around her neck. It was a gift from her late mother and she never left anywhere without it. She brushed her hands on her shorts as Wake placed her back on the floor. "Grounded!" Mia cried, looking back at her masked father as he was scooting her out the door, the heels of her rain boots squeaking against the gym floor. "Fine!" she said turning around, now outside of the two massive doors, a pout on her lips. "But when I come back you better be ready to battle me dad!"
She took two steps forward before turning around, a goofy grin on her face. "Bye dad!" Mia said cheerfully, giving Crasher Wake the biggest hug she could muster, "See you soon!" She waved before skipping forward, heading towards the southwest exit. Once more she had that almost sickeningly sweet smile glued to her features.
