I was looking through old corset patents - and I came across
this gem. It made me giggle - I just had to share. It's a swimming corset made of rubber and cork! How silly!
Also, if any of you are interested in making a historical corset -
This site has a number of old patents that can be resized and altered if you are in need of a pattern. I've never used one personally- (I'd rather draft one from scratch than fiddle around with resizing something in photoshop) - but it's interesting to see the variations in design, and the difference in the seamline placement in many of the patents.
