Tendaji slipped away again, he just had to remember to get back before his mom came back from hunting since he knew his mom would not approve of the idea that he had. The day was overcast but Ten didn't think it would rain, how he knew this he didn't know, and it was warm in a damp way.
Ten was determined that this day would be the day that he climbed the tree that the lioness Tsubame found him stuck in. It didn't take him long to get to the tree since it was fairly close to the temporary family den so he reached it before he had finished mentally preparing. He sat at the base of the tree and looked up at the tall tree.

Maua was on the move again. Of course, she usually was with no permanent home and no one of ancor her to a place. It was actually rather sad and lonely, but she kept cheerful. Her mindset was to assume she'd be alone for the rest of her life.
And she was fine with that.
The floral femal kept her head down, but her eyes scanned the open area before her. She was actually starting to miss the high up areas that she was raised in. It had taken her a while yet, but she decided she would climb the nearest tree she could find and lounge for the day.
After all, what's a leopard without a tree?
Ah, there, a tree. She trotted closer, her head still down and her pink eyes still watching the area around her.
She spotted something. A lion? She blinking once. It was a small lion - a cub in the very least. Well, at least she wouldn't be lonely for the day.

Tendaji was about to try the tree when he heard something. Ever since being caught unaware a few times, Ten had been working on his skills as Udo had suggested.
It didn't take long for Ten to spot movement in the grass, what ever it was it was heading for him. When a green floral leopardess became visible, Ten was surprised, he hadn't expected someone like this. He was expecting a rabbit or something like that, not another feline. Wow there are lots of others in this area, He thought to himself as he waited quietly to see what the new comer would do.

The floral leopardess gave the lion a smile. "Hello," She said cheerfully, though her mind was racing in confusion. Pink eyes flicked up to the tree's branches. "Is there a reason you were staring up the tree?" She didn't see anything in them.
...?
Lions didn't climb trees, did they? She thought only leopards did that. She didn't see anything in the branched when she glanced at the branched. Maybe his prey climbed up it? She was rather fond of catching the little tree monkeys...

Since the leopardess seemed to be friendly Tendaji relaxed slightly, "Hello, I was just going to climb it again, or try to at least." He said sheepishly, remembering what happened the last time he tried to climb the tree.
Ten, being the curious cub that he was, just couldn't help but ask, "Why are you out here? I don't mean to sound, well mean, but I'm just wondering why cuz there seem to be a lot of others traveling too and I always thought that the rouge lands were pretty empty." He said quickly as he shifted from paw to paw in his curiosity.

"Climbing?" Okay, so lions did climb trees. "I didn't know lions climbed trees." She stated. They were too large, weren't they? But then, that didn't make sense either. Some leopards were large..
Maua gave a small half smile. She felt more comfortable around the young lion. Adults were so... intimidating to talk to. "The Roguelands... Holds many creatures." She decided the words carefully. She quirked a sheepish smile. "I suppose you just have to see them. Most are hidden."

Lions didn't climb trees? Tendaji was confused, Lilly and his mom both climb trees and unless he missed his guess, Tsubame also climbs trees. "But most of my family climbs?" He said with a question in his voice, like he was not sure that what they did was really climbing. "Both Mom and Lilly love to climb, tho I think that personally Lilly takes after mom. And I like to climb, or rather I like the view once you get up high enough," he said, "its getting down that is a problem." He added sheepishly.
Ten scuffed some of the loose dirt around with his paw, this leopardess was nice but he still didn't quite understand the comment about lions not climbing. And as too the grasslands having a lot of others he said, "Well yeah I guess that is what I mean, cuz I know that there are lots but I guess I just didn't expect to run in to a lot of others." He was rambling and he knew it so he just sat quietly and waited to see what this green leopardess would do.

A small giggle managed to escape the leopardess. "I'll tell you a secret..." She gave a pause, eyes twinkling. She loved cubs. "I couldn't get down trees when I was your age," She said with a firm conviction... As firm as a soft-spoken girl could get anyways.
"Have you tried climbing down backwards?"
The leopardess now turned her attentions to the tree, gazing up at the shade the leaves provided and the shelter it held. A smile graced her face. She didn't normally go up into trees, but it was her home.
"Yes, I suppose there are many in this area..." A small smile crossed the maw of the floral female and she looked back to the lion.

Tendaji was kind of happy that this leopardess, a natural in the trees, had the same problem, after all if a natural can have the same problems then so can he. And when she mentioned climbing down backwards as a possible solution to his problem, Ten couldn't help but blurt out, "That is what Tsubame had me do!" When Tendaji found himself stuck high in the tree a nice lioness named Tsubame talked him down from the tree by having him focus on his front paws and the tree trunk while heading down backwards.

"Oh really?" Wondering if it was the same Tsubame that she had talked to - the same that ran away from her. A small smile quirked on the leopardess's face. She turned to look up the tree, it wouldn't be hard to get up and down in the tree - there were many low branches, but good and sturdy. Ones an adult would be able to simply jump from.
"I can help you get back down if you climb," Maua gave a small smile to the young lion. She adored youngins.

Tendaji was really indecisive now. He really did want to climb the tree but he had barely gotten his nerve up when this nice leopardess arrived. He was about to say that he would give it a second try when he remembered the first time that he had issues with climbing.
Ten seemed to stare off into space as the moment ran though his mind again. He was almost to the end of the branch when all of a sudden the branch let out a loud crack and started to separate from the trunk of the tree. He lost his footing and fell. He scrambled desperately to grab a branch with his claws. Finally he landed square on a branch near the bottom of the tree, knocking the wind out of him.
He snapped out of it but looked up wearily at the tree, "I think it might be better for me to keep my four paws on the ground for a while longer." He nodded to show he meant what he said. "Besides falling is never a favorite past time of my own." He added, not really knowing that the nice leopardess would have no clue as to what he meant.
"Tendaji!" Echoed across the grass. Ten put his ears back and his tail between his legs, his escape was finally noticed. "Sorry I have to go, it was nice to meet you." He said as he backed up and started to jog back home.
