A new day. Bright, for once, a sun shining through a cloudless sky. It made Chelsea fairly unhappy that the students would probably all be bright-eyed and cheerful today.
Today they were going to practice some new spells, because she liked them to practice rather than to sit and learn the theory of the spell. Made them firmer, after all.

Emylee walked into the classroom and noticed no one was there yet.

Laurel entered the classroom and noticed she was one of the first people there. "Good morning Professor," she said quietly, keeping her eyes to the floor. Laurie knew she was walking on thin ice, completely missing the last lesson. She saw one other student in the room and sat at the same table as her. "Hi, I'm Laurel Williams. Jeez, it's lovely out today isn't it?"

Ryu walked into the classroom and sat down at a random desk. He took his wand out of his pocket and laid it on the desktop.

Trista walked into the classroom, glancing around at the other students there. She took a seat towards the middle of the classroom, laid her bag down on the desk, and sat there quietly, waiting for the rest of the class to arrive.

Persephone walked briskly into the room and sat down at a table off to the side. She was quite pleased with her homework grade for the last lesson, and expected nothing less from herself for this lesson. She wondered what they were going to practice today...one could always count on Professor Pure to make them actually do spells rather than writing notes.

Miranda walked into the classroom quietly. She'd made a special effort to be on time for Chelsea's class. She was quite looking forward to it because, despite Chelsea's harsh manner her classes were always excellent.

Delila slipped into the class and found a desk near the middle of the classroom. She was excited about learning what the professor had to offer them, but she wasn't too keen on spending large amounts of time in her presence. Hopefully she would be good enough not to be scrutinized by the professor, but not so exceptional as to catch her eye and raise expectations.

Chelsea's eyes swept over the class as they slowly assembled and got to their seats. Her eyes rested on her sister, who had walked in reluctantly, and had chosen a seat in the very far end of the room.
Hiding a smirk, Chelsea addressed the class: " Today we're having another practical class. Wands out, books away." Adding 'please' would ruin her reputation. " It's going to be much harder than last time. Today we are going to practice two spells you need to stop or slow down your enemy. Does anybody have any idea of what I'm going to teach you today?"

Trita raised her hand at the professor's question. "Are either of the spells Locomotor Mortis or Impedimenta, professor?" She lowered her hand as the teacher turned to her, then just sit there quietly, waiting for a reply. She pulled out her want at the same time, and put her bag back on the floor.

At the teacher's command, Mark stowed his books in his bag and withdrew his wand from his pocket. Impedimenta did sound right..

"Impedimenta is one of the two I was hinting at," Chelsea nodded, looking approvingly over at Trista. "Five points to you."
Her eyes swept the class once more. "Can anyone tell me what the incantation does exactly? "

Mitsu raised her hand and when Chelsea looked at her spoke.

"The spell is capable of tripping, freezing, binding, knocking back and generally impeding the target's progress towards the caster. The extent to which the spell's specific action can be controlled by the caster is not made clear. If this spell does bind, it does eventually wear off" She finished, seeming proud with herself at this answer.

If it was one thing Mitsu enjoyed it was spells to stop people in their tracks, makes em easy for pranks. And it was also good, for she wanted to be an Auror as well.

Ginger's eyes wandered about the classroom as Chelsea was talking. The class seemed either sleepy, or just extraordinarily quiet today. She wondered why that was. Of course, she wasn't about to answer any questions Chelsea had unless she had no choice, but was happy when Mitsu gave the right answer. It might win their house a few points.

"Five points to Slytherin," Chelsea said, nodding curtly. "It's not the easiest of spells, so I doubt any of you will be able to pull it off at once, unless you've practiced it before. "
She walked to the front of her desk, leaning with her back to it, before continuing: " I'm going to make guessing the second spell easy for you: It binds ropes around those unlucky ones that get hit by it.
