The food forum is setup and ready for recipies and other directly food-related topics. The Health Forum isn't yet, but I'll get to it tomorrow at some point.
So who wants to be a mod? Please PM me if you're interested and I'll choose a couple. These people will also have access to the FA-HAES_Mule so they can make changes, accept members, ban people, as necessary.

So, I'll go ahead and formally introduce myself for people not active in the thread.
I'm Calixti, aka Kitty, full-time college student, feminist, and fat woman. Since discovering FA and HAES a few years ago (shortly after I discovered feminism, iirc, and finally had a word to describe myself), I've been learning to love myself as I am, warts and all. I've rediscovered the joy of food and exercise, and my philosophies on both have changed radically from when I was a self-hating fat high school kid.
I'm also a vegetarian, but firmly believe that a vegetarian or vegan diet is not right for everybody. I will share nommy veggie recipes though. heart
"Food/weight/health is not a marker of morality" is kind of a motto of mine.
I'm a disabled woman with invisible disabilities. I've got dyscalculia, a number-related LD, and ADD, inattentive type. I'm a lesbian, and to complete the stereotype, I've got two cats. xD

hi guys.
i've recently gotten into FA, although i've been a feminist my whole life (you know how it is when you find a word that describes you?). i find it contradictory to be a feminist and not FA at the same time, because so much of the oppression of women is based on body shame.
i'm 27, work at a medical-supply company, and live in Boston - which, while not as good as my hometown of Vancouver, Canada, is a solid second place. i occasionally toy with the idea of grad school, if only to get some douchebags i work with to stop treating me like i'm stupid. as it is, i've got a BA (whoop-de-s**t) in history.
i look forward to taking part in this community! thanks for having me!

I'm fat, but I don't care. If I lose the weight, I lose it. If I don't, I don't. My family and my boyfriend love me regardless, and that's all that matters to me. Thanks to Alex (the boyfriend <3), I've even learned to love myself, which I never thought would be possible.
Being fat sure as hell isn't going to stop me from looooving my life ^^ <3333
