Loopy sighed softly as he glanced around at his sleeping family with a smile. He nuzzled them all softly before he stood and quietly slunk around them and out of the den. There was nothing better than having a family. It had been his dream for as long as he could remember...
The kerl smiled to himself as he stared up at the night sky, waving his tail slowly behind him. On nights like this when he couldn't sleep, Loopy always found it soothing to just come out and stare at the stars. Sometimes he wished that his wings actually worked so that he could fly up and touch them. But, Loopy knew that was impossible, so he soon returned his eyes to earth. A sound in some nearby bushes drew his attention and brought his eyes and ears toward it. Maybe a rabbit? Whatever it was, it was probably food, and there was never a thing as too much food. Loopy crouched, quiet and ready to pounce.

 Jet twitched fitfully in his sleep. His paws padded restlessly in the air, and his ears were constantly flickering. His dream, whatever it was, was obviously not pleasant. However, he soon felt a soft nuzzle, and he was instantly calmed. He lay where he was for a few moments, listening to the soft sounds of the night. He could hear someone leaving the den, and after a moment, he blinked blearily around to see who it was.
Seeing Loopy's retreating form, he smile mischeviously and padded over his adopted family to reach the mouth of the cave. He followed Loopy silently, using the skills he learned from the Dragga he had met a while back. He went to a bush close to where Loopy had decided to stop, to look at the sky, and crouched under it. Unfortunately, he had grown too large, and the bush rustled, drawing Loopy's attention.
Without hesitation, Jet zoomed out from under the bush and barrelled into Loopy, tail wagging. "Hello." he said cheerfully, keeping his voice low so as not to wake the others.

Loopy blinked in bewilderment as his supposed rabbit turned out to be his oldest son. He chuckled softly and bent his head to nuzzle the younger male. "Hello Jet. What're you doing out here, you silly boy?" The kerl warmly asked as he sat back. "I thought you were still asleep. Did I wake you?" Loopy affectionatly nipped at Jet's ear, nuzzling him.
(DD8 It's really short, but I gotta run. Sorry. ;;^^)

Jet wagged his tail as he sat back, nuzzling Loopy back affectionately, as he was sure the others were fast asleep. He padded closer so that he was sitting right next to Loopy and started prodding the older male's leg playfully with his nose.
"I came here to see you." he replied, looking up at him. "I woke up on my own." he said, a bit defensively, failing to mention that he was always the last one to wake up unless Loopy woke him.

The kerl chuckled as Jet began to nudge at his leg. He nuzzled the adolesant softly, his tail wagging. "To see me huh? Well, what should we do then? Would you like a hunting lesson now?" It was a nice quiet night and there was surely some game out... "Then you could surprise everyone else in the morning when you bring back some food." The varg suggested warmly.

Jet pawed softly at the older male's waving tail, wagging his own. He pondered over Loopy's question thoughtfully. He was unsure, really, as his only reason to come out was to see Loopy. And... well, he did. He was starting to get worried. He didn't want to seem like an uncreative Varg in front of Loopy. There must be something to do, after all.
He could feel his own depression cloud form above him when loopy suggested hunting, and immedietly, he cheered up. "Okay!" he agreed enthusiastically. Then, remembering his adopted family was sleeping nearby, he repeated his word, his voice a mere whisper now. "Okay."

Loopy again laughed and nuzzled his oldest son. "Let's go then. Come on, Jet." He whispered before he trotted off away from the den. "We've got to be really quiet now if we want to find anything without scaring it away. Walk lightly, okay?" The older male stated softly, crouching slightly as he made his way through the brush, his ears and eyes alert for the sound of game.

Jet nodded, tail waving, as he tried to imitate Loopy's pose. He crouched, flicked his ears whenever he saw Loopy flick his, and trotted along behind the older male, copying his movements. He remembered another time he had done the same, when an older male named Jacoby decided to teach him. But he had a pack, and he had to leave after Jet had learned only a few tips from him.
He shook the memories, not without some bitterness. But it would be different this time. Loopy wouldn't leave him.

Loopy chuckled as he turned back to nuzzle Jet softly. "You're doing very well. Keep it up." He turned back toward the front, listening softly until finally he heard the soft sounds of a rabbit nearby. "Hear that? Where do you think it is? Ahead of us or slightly to the left?" His son would have to figure it out for himself if he wished to hunt. "Once you know where it is, crouch and wait for it to get closer. Then, I want you to pounce on it and bite down on its neck."

Jet raised his head and tail smugly at the praise, until he remembered he was trying to keep himself hidden. He lowered himself again quickly, glad that Loopy had turned away, and so had not noticed him. Pretending it had never happened, he continued to plod along Loopy's heels.
He paused when Loopy spoke, and flickered his ears for the sound of the prey Loopy had heard. He couldn't hear anything, but unwilling to admit it, he instead said, "A bit to the left, I think." and proceeded to crawl along that way, nodding absently at Loopy's advice.
