so i was wondering, how many here shoot photos, not just for the sake of taking a photo. (as in the sense, you like photography, so you take photos.) but, instead you take them for conveying some deeper message. i know for the most part, i dont really intend to convey some deeper meaning in my shots, but i often find, that after i take them, they reflect my life and personal triumphs and stuggles at the time.
so my question is, do you intend to make your shots have a deeper, underlying meaning, do you find (like myself) that you accomplish that without intention, or do just take photos for the sake of taking them, and are really not concerned with deeper meanings and the like.

i'm constantly looking for the deeper meaning in things. even when there is not one. even if it is obvious that the message was conveyed without a deeper meaning. often times i tend to make one up. maybe all of this is because i don't want to accept the fact that life is more obvious than i would like so i try to create hidden meanings in it. haha sorry mini rant to myself. : P
despite all that, i don't think it reflects my photography very much. i like to put meaning behind my photos, but they're usually pretty obvious. my photos always hold a message, and i don't like to hide them.

sometimes I do, and sometimes I dont. Its really funny to me when people try to analyze something that I took just because its pretty, and just pass over the ones that I really thought about just like "ah, thats nice" sweatdrop

Maybe you saw a scene that moved you, and you had to take a picture of it? or maybe you took a picture of something you cared about to share it with people?

I always try to make meaningful images when I shoot. If I can capture an image that makes me feel something, it will certainly be more interesting for my audience.

I try to too, but sometimes I just feel like shooting, and don't really have anything to meaningful to shoot.
