Will sat at his desk at the head of his classroom. Excitement was billowing within him for the start of his job as Transfigurations teacher. He had just finished making sure everything was ready for the class. On the table in front of each chair sat a toad inside a cage, filling the room with many dull croaks from the creatures.
It was almost time for class to start and Will couldn't wait to meet all of his pupils. He removed his wand from the sleeve of his cloak and began to mindlessly polish as he waited for all of the eager young minds to arrive, ready to be shaped into the Wizards of tomorrow.

Emylee walked into the classroom. There were no other students yet. Damn I hate being the only one here.She thought. Emylee sat in a seat closest to the door.

Skipping inside happily, Ginger grinned at their new teacher. She had no idea whether he was going to be awesome or horrible, seeing as it had been, after all, Chelsea who had appointed him. But either way, she loved Transfiguration, along with Charms and Care of Magical Creatures it was her all-time-favourite subject. Partly so, she guessed, because she was a metamorphmagus. Not that everybody knew this, and Ginger did not practice it often because she thought it took the surprise away after a few tries. She avoided Chelsea like that all the time, however, making sure to avoid eye-contact, because somehow her eyes always remained recognizable.
"Hey, Emylee," She said quietly. Indicating the seat next to the girl, she asked "Is this seat taken?" Then, turning brightly to their teacher, she greeted him as well," Good morning, Professor!"

Will smiled widely upon the arrival of his first two students. "Welcome, welcome! And a good morning to you too!" He said with a tone of enthusiasm in his voice. He noticed that they had taken the farthest seats they could from the front of the classroom.
"Excuse me girls but could you do me a favor and move up to the front? You don't have to if you don't want to but it makes things easier for me and for you. I promise I won't bite." He said with a strong tone of caring in his voice and a chuckle. He didn't want to have to strain his voice to reach the end and he was certain he wouldn't have a full class, this just worked out better.

Emylee was abot to reply to Ginger but the Professor asked them to move up front. Emylee got up and moved to the second row of the classroom.

Delila entered the class with a grin on her face and her wand already in hand. She spotted Ginger and Emylee near the font of the class and quickly sat down beside them. She smiled and the new professor and then turned to the girls. "What did you think about Defense Against the Dark Arts today?"

Trista walked into the classroom, noticing Ginger, Delila, and Emylee seated at a desk towards the front. She walked up and sat at a table behind them. "Hello, everybody." She smiled at them, and then glanced up at the teacher. "Professor," She nodded at him in a friendly gesture, then pulled her bag up onto the desk.

Will smiled as yet another two students walked in, oh how grand this was for him. "Welcome students, please grab a seat at the front. I have quite a lesson planned and I would hate for you to miss out on importaint information!"
Will suddenly heard talk about Defense Against the Dark Arts and nonchalently attempted to listen in. He didn't know too much about his fellow teachers, this being his first day and all so perhaps from the students he could get some info which he longed for.

Miranda walked into the classroom slowly. She wasn't sure what to expect from the new teacher and was glad not to be the first in.
She saw the three girls near the front of the class and took a seat next to them
"Hey guys" she said brightly

Persephone strolled in, and saw that everyone was seated near the front. Perhaps they were already excited about this class or something...usually everyone sort of spead out around the classroom. Persephone smiled at the new professor and sat at an empty table on the right side of the classroom, instead of the middle where everyone else was. Transfiguration was one of the required N.E.W.T. courses she had to complete in order to be an auror, so she was going to pay strict attention in this class. Perhaps she could ask the professor to help her out with self-transfiguration, one of the things she would be tested on...

Ginger had gotten up and followed Emylee to the front of the class. "Hey Delila, hey Trista!" She waved at them cheerfully, and then saw the door open again and she smiled brightly at Miranda as she walked in. "Hey Randa, how are you?"
In answer to Delila's question, Ginger merely said: "It's Chelsea's subject. I'm not allowed an opinion, I will never be able to give one objectively." At that she saw Persephone walking in and waved at her, too.
Turning back to their teacher, she told him confidentially," I really am looking forward to this class, sir. Transfiguration usually is one of my favourite subjects."

Will smiled widely at the young girl before him saying "Excellent, I am glad to hear it!" He looked around and saw that most of his students were here and figured it was probably time to start. Anybody whom was late to his class would be accepted with open arms. Will stood up from his desk and quickly pushed his long hair out of his face and then said "Welcome students to transfigurations!"
He moved out from behind his desk and then said "Transfigurations, possibly one of the most noble of the wizarding arts. The ability to alter the very structure of one's person. Though you may disagree with me on the nobility of it but there is no doubt that this is the most dangerous skill you will ever learn here at Hogwarts. That is why I beg you all while attending my class to keep a straight head and give full concentration to the task at hand!"
He leaned up against his desk and then removed his wand, clicking it against his desk a couple times for good measure and then aiming it at the chalkboard. In very neat letters the words "Professor Greenthorn" appeared. "My name is Professor Greenthorn and I am looking forward to all of our time together. Now before I begin, a question. Who can tell me one thing in which you can never transfigure. Extra credit if you can tell me the law that it falls under."

Laurel rushed into Transfigurations in a brisk walk. This just wan't her morning. What a lovely way to start the year She thought sarcastically. She looked into the classroom to see it nearly full with students already taking notes. Laurie chuckled to herself. She turned to her new Professor.
"Hi...I'm Laurel Williams. Sorry I'm late, you know, I just couldn't figure out what to do with my hair," She laughed at her own joke; Laurie hadn't attempted to tame her wild curly hair in years.

As the newcomer came in Will quickly pointed to a seat in the front as he spoke. Though he gave her a smile none the less.

Laurel smiled sheepishly and sat down. She whispered to her classmates and asked what she had missed. Upon learning a question was waiting to be answered, Laurel raised her hand in an attempt to salvage a good first impression.
"Sir, I believe you can't transfigure money. I mean if we could, everyone would be rich, right?" Laurel racked her brain for the extra credit. "And I think that falls under Gamp's Law?"
(ooc: I know we're not supposed to RP for others but no one else is online. Sorry if it's still unacceptable)
