Also because alot of satanists happen to be goth as well.

Satanism does not believe in the existance of God and therefore they do no believe in the existance of the devil. Devil worshipers are basicly just pissed-off or power-hungry christians going after what they can't get from God. Satanists derive their name from the idea of Satan, that wich is carnal and natural.

Isaac488 would you say satanists are another form of atheists? No i wold not. Satanism glorifies the self as the higest power, rather than logic or science. also satanism has things atheitsm does not have, such as: Rules, Ritual, and a Bible. We are a Religion, atheism, although often adhered to with a religious zeal is still more of a philosophy.

I never really thought of Satanism as a religion to be honest, since there is no real diety. Here are some Q's...
1) I have read 'Secret Life of a Satanist' which is a book about Mr. Anton Lavey, written by his mistress, and the Satanic Bible. Is there certain types of Satanism? For example, LaVeyan Satanism.
2) Can a Satanist ALSO be a Humanitarian?
3) Do you celebrate any holidays?
((Also, do I know you? Have we talked before and I dont remember?
You invited me personally, and im not active outside my thread in the LD and Gaia Aquarium area >< ))
