 Yukio kicked a stone in front of his feet. It had been a long time since he had been down from the mountain. It was hot, he didn't care for it, but at the moment he didn't care. There wasn't much that was going to bring him out of this funk. He blinked, blue eyes staring up at the sky. The snowman pae sighed, gaze returning to the ground as he started to walk.
He was on his way down for whatever reason right now. For some reason he had started reflecting on why he had struck out every time he had tried to get himself a boyfriend. Maybe he was just setting his standards too high? He shook his head, that couldn't be it, he didn't expect anything of the guy. Did he? Yukio groaned, stopping as he hit a tree. The angel was utterly distracted at this point. He rubbed his forehead, moving to walk on the path once more. Yeah, this was going to be a -fun- day. Riiiight.
Yukio closed his eyes, just calling it quits. He sat down, folding his wings over his shoulders. He was leaning against a tree, head back as he sat there. It was already rather hot for him, probably just getting warm for everyone else. A small bead of sweat welled up on back of Yukio's neck, just proving how hot he was. His eyes opened, looking at his hands, then shut once more. He sighed, it was far too hot for him. He wasn't going to last much longer. Yukio took a deep breath, trying to rest. Maybe it would cool off if he just lied there and didn't move.
It wasn't long before he was shifting, making noise with twigs and sitcks and leaves against each other, and his skin. Sitting against the tree just wasn't a good position. At least it wasn't comfortable. Not anymore, too many days he had spent curled against a tree like that, now it hurt him. Yukio groaned, flopping onto his side, there were sticks down there too. Not fun. That kind of hurt.. A lot.

 As he wandered down a path with a large bag slung over his shoulder, Twizzz sighed. His candy sales never did so well during these hot, humid seasons. Pae just didn't want melting and messy candy when it felt like this, but he was going to try and sell some anyways, he just needed to branch out a little bit. Of course the chocolates were already melted in his bag, so that was not helpful at all. He was really wishing he had gotten into the ice cream business at this moment.
Twizzz spotted a blue figure moving down the path and disappear out of his sight. Perfect, a potential customer. Twizzz's wings fluttered in excitement, he needed to practice his salesman skills real quick if he wanted to be successful at convincing someone else to buy his candy. "Would you like some candy... Would you like some candy, hm?... candy?" Twizzz started rehearsing as he made his way down the path. "Can...dee... nommers!" Now he was just making fun of himself. Now he just needed to find that pae he had spotted earlier. Twizzz continued until he heard noises coming from somewhere off the path. He spotted the blue pae behind a tree, looking rather uncomfortable, "Hi there." Twizzz greeted the blue boy as he poked his head around the tree.

Yukio faintly heard Twizz rambling to himself, but was far more distracted with trying to get comfortable amongst all the debris that littered the ground here. Didn't work so well. Yukio gave a soft groan as he sat up, looking at Twizz, instantly regretting the noise. The male that had woken him was quite.. hot. And not in the way he was right now, no, Twizz looked good.
It was that instant that Yukio started to stand. Best not think of that sort of thing, chances are he didn't swing that way. There weren't many pae that did. He looked at the younger male, giving him a soft smile. It wouldn't hurt to try a little would it? "Hello." The angel spoke, looking at the male still. It would be a shame if he had gotten his hopes up, but he knew better. Just don't say no, there wasn't a 100% chance of striking out. Just a 99.99999% chance of it.
"My name is Yukio, nice to meet you." he held out his hand for the demonic pae, looking at him still. His blue eyes weren't going to look away any time soon.

Twizzz shied slightly as the sparkling blue eyes seemed to pierce him. Thankfully any blushing he might be doing would go unnoticed because his skin was already a blushed color and it was hot and humid enough all on its own. "I-I'm T-Twizzz." He tried to reduce his introduction to as few words as possible to keep himself from stuttering in a weak little voice. Twizzz shook the male's hand and when he pulled his hand back he coughed into it to clear his throat. He was trying to remember why he had come up to the blue pae in the first place since it had left his mind. Then he felt the bag on his shoulder, heavy from his lack of candy sales. "I was just...w-wondering if you might be interested in some..." Twizzz gulped "candy..." He wasn't quite sure why he was reacting this way, perhaps it was just the temperature getting to him. Yes, that was it, it was the weather. Twizzz hadn't spent much time outside, mostly indoors in his shop, he wasn't used to this stuff at all.

Oh dear, Twizz's reaction seemed to set something off inside him. This wasn't exactly a straight stick in front of him was it? Mentally Yukio sighed, but kept his gaze upon the other. Another strike out he was sure. "You're selling candy?" The snowman pae raised a brow, he wasn't skeptical, it was just a surprise. Well, if he wasn't the straightest stick in the bunch why not try his luck anyway.
Slowly, Yukio moved forward, running a finger along the bottom portion of Twizz's chin. "You look far sweeter than any candy you could be carrying." He offered, glad for the fact that it was already hot for him as he'd be sweating even up in the mountains with this moment. "If you have something that sweet I'll take it though." He gave a soft chuckle, removing his hand from the younger male's body. Why freak him out anymore than he already was? Poor thing was probably panicked right now. Not that Yukio would be surprised, he was expecting Twizz to run away screaming insults any second now.

Twizzz nodded his head slowly to answer Yukio, the way the male asked him about it he suddenly felt like he was being ridiculous trying to wander around the island selling candy. "Uhm, yeah." He held up his bag, feeling rather pathetic. Twizzz could see that this was probably not going to go well now, he was just wasting his time trying to sell candy, and then Yukio touch him and Twizzz could now easily say that he was as melted as his candy or at least he felt melted. "Well... I'm..." Twizzz didn't know how to respond to that, the goal of selling anything was being thrown out the window. Twizzz gave a hesitant laugh when Yukio chuckled, haha it was just a joke to ward off a sales pitch it seemed. Twizzz ran his fingers through his hair, trying to air it out. Twizzz dug through his bag and pulled out a lollipop, one of the few treats that wasn't melted. "You can try this..." he offered it to Yukio.

His smile was soft, looking at the 'child' in front of him. He was a good deal older at the moment, not that it looked like it for either of them. "Am I freaking you out yet?" Yukio asked, finally averting his gaze. He was setting himself up already. He wasn't supposed to like to anyone, they always rejected him.
"Thank you." He politely accepted the lolli, eyes narrowing some as he gave it a lick. if a woman had been doing it it probably would have been seductive, in Yukio's case it was just odd. Though one might have found it sexy if they were into that sort of thing, but it was just a reflex to candy for him. "It tastes good." The blue boy smiled, he would've preferred mint, but this was good too. There was a bad thought running through his mind right then. I bet this child tastes better than this sucker... he mentally shook his mind of this thought, there was no reason to think that. The other male would freak right out if he said it aloud.

Twizzz hesitated, unsure if he should tell the truth or not. In fact, he didn't even know what the truth was and wondered if the question didn't really have an answer, a rhetorical question. "Just a little bit." He finally answered the question when Yukio looked away, he wasn't really sure if that was the right answer or not. "You're welcome, just a small amount of sugar." Now Twizzz's eyes diverted from Yukio as he ate the lollipop and the conversation seemed to be falling into an awkward silence, at least it appeared that way for Twizzz and maybe things had been awkward since the beginning, but he wasn't entirely sure of that. "It sure is hot out here..." Twizzz stopped right there. What if it really wasn't hot? What if he was just hot for other reasons? Oh boy.

He gave a small sigh, smiling at Twizz still. "Sorry, I'll stop now." Yukio's eyes weren't directed at the other at the moment. He was doing what he could to not blush. "you must be far sweeter than just a small amount of sugar." The snowman pae chuckled, returning his blue eyes to the red male before him.
"Would you like to go somewhere cooler?" Of course he wasn't adverse to the idea of going somewhere where it was likely to cool him off. Like the mountain or even a body of water... Oh the water would be fun.. Soaking wet muscles, hair dripping making him wetter.... enough to drool. But there wasn't time for that, nor was it right to think about that sort of thing at the moment. Yukio shook his head visibly this time, holding his hand out to Twizz. "I'll show you where the nearest body of water is." He had to know where they all were, if he didn't then chances were that he would over heat. Guardians knew he was close enough to that already.

Twizzz smiled lightly at Yukio to show that no harm was done and relieved that the male had realized on his own that Twizzz wasn't sure how to react to some of this. Twizzz wasn't too sweet, he liked his mischief and had gotten into a small amount when he was younger, but other things on his mind now made him slightly more awkward then punk-like. "Well I have to be sweet, I live in a candy shop." he stated. "Somewhere cooler would be great," Twizzz agreed, staring at Yukio's hand curiously, it was just a friendly gesture, nothing more, it wouldn't hurt to take it. Yukio was older, perhaps he was just looking after Twizzz? Twizzz shrugged his shoulders at his thoughts and grabbed Yukio's hand timidly.

He smirked, candy shop? "That must be fun." Yukio offered, looking back at Twizz. He was quite amused. "There's a body of water nearby." The angelic pae offered, still leading him forward. Though his affection for the boy wasmore than that of just looking out. Though he was doing his best to not come off too strong or flirt at all. That was an utter failure.
Ah, but it was so very distracting to be holding Twizz's hand. He hadn't done that before, even if he was almost three years old. Yukio almost walked into a tree with the distraction just from their hands alone. He laughed at himself,it was probably aloud, but at the moment he didn't care. It was just an interesting distraction to say the very least. The elder male returned his gaze to Twizz, smiling now. "Sorry, you haven't hit a tree have you?" He didn't mean to hurt the younger if they had run into anything. Maybe he shouldn't me holding the other's hand, it seemed like it was a rather large distraction, even now, but it felt so good. That decision was hard, hold hands, which was more than he had ever gotten to do wil almost anyone, or get them safely to the water... But the water wasn't that far was it? No he could hear it already, they really weren't that far away from the water when they had started.

Twizzz nodded his head, "Sometimes" other times it was annoying, a hassle, and he really didn't get out that often. "Oh good, water" A swim sounded nice, of course this would probably end up being the longest break he ever took from candy, but he could always go back and say there was just no luck, he tried his hardest, no one would know the wiser. Twizzz watched Yukio almost run into a tree, and Twizzz pointed out the tree, "Uhm, you should watch out for those...there's lots of them... trees... in a forest." If that wasn't just the stupidest sentence ever, Twizzz wanted to whack himself on the forehead with his hand. "Haven't hit a tree yet, been avoiding them" Twizzz let go of Yukio's hand, it would probably be easier to walk through a forest behind Yukio rather then side-by-side. "For your safety" Twizzz chuckled, teasing the male, and hoping not to offend by letting go of his hand.

He glanced back, "First time I've almost run into one." Yukio laughed a little, not offended that Twizz had let go of his hand. He was just thinking of doing the same. "Can you hear the water yet?" The elder male asked, his eyes looking for the water that was making itself known. "You should be able to." he did his best not to mumble. It was hot, even hotter for Yukio than for Twizz, stinking mountain always keeping him cool. Made for hell on days when he was down.
He wiped off his forehead, knowing he was sweating. Yukio himself didn't think it was attractive on him but there who liked that sort of thing. "The water should be just beyond these ferns." He smiled, pulling one back for Twizz. Beauty before age.

Twizzz stopped walking so that the crackling of the ground beneath him didn't overpower the sound of the water Yukio had been talking about. He was silent for a bit, searching out the sound, "I can hear it" he finally said when he heard the sound of moving water up ahead. "Good thing its so close, not sure how much further we would've made it." Especially Yukio, that male sure was hot. Hot? Overheated, sure. Twizzz was behind him and had the perfect view of beads of sweat trickling down his back, lower and lower, where on Earth were his eyes wandering now? Twizzz snapped his head up and looked at the ferns Yukio might have been talking about and walked past them, he could see the water now. "Just dive on in, right?" Twizzz asked the older male as he moved closer to the water and dipped the toes of his candy striped leg into the water.

"Dive right in." Yukio chuckled, following Twizz to the water. It looked amazing, he wanted to dive straight in. Oh but he should wait.. Then again it was hot.. Or was it just Twizz making things hotter? Yukio smiled, not waiting for Twizz. It was too hot for him to wait right now.
"Last one in is a rotten egg!" He called, performing a cannon ball. The snowman pae splashed Twizz if he hadn't jumped in already, and it was a good splash at that. He swam to the surface, keeping his brown hair out of his face. He took a deep breath and made his way back over to Twizz.
