User ImageMazhira moved across the lands carefully. Unfortunately today she was up in the daylight. She wasn't to fond of the daylight, she was just to dark. She sighed, demons had been attacking and it was not safe to wander at night and it was probably best to give her mother a break from her schedule which was so different from her siblings.

She sat in the shadows and watch the others go about their day.

Prancing around away from his mother, Risasi was feeling happy on a day like today. It seemed fairly calm out, and he didn't feel unsafe by being out alone like this. Though, that could have just been the naiveness of a cub.

He looked around, wanting to find something to do so as not to waste the day away, but couldn't spot a thing. Squinting, he strained his eyes to see what lurked in the shadows, only to find a familiar face peeking out. His face lit up, overjoyed to have found one of his siblings, and he bounded over towards her.

Mazhira rolled her eyes seeing he very bright glowing brother bounding toward her. He glowed like she did, but more brightly. She knew they actually did not glow but her, their marking made the darkness brighter, his more so than hers. She smiled at her brother and nodded to him.

"Hira, Hira!" Risa bounced a bit as he said her name. "You wanna come play with me?" his tail swayed back and forth, thinking of a game that they could play together. The only games he could think of were the ones that he played by himself. "We could.....fight invisible demons!" his tongue seemed to lap the air, and his ears twitched back and forth. It may not have been the best idea for a game, but it's all he had.

Hira stood and nodded her head yes. She really didn't want to play because it was hot but, she figured she should get to know her brother better. She nodded to his game and gave a silent sigh, it was not as though she could offer up a suggestion. She had never spoken and was not even sure she could.

"You don't seem too excited...." Risa's mind flicked back to how his mother was, and it made him sad to think that his sister would be like that too. "Smile for me?" He turned his head to the side, looking up at her. It was a reassuring gesture that would put his mind to ease, now that he was off thinking about sad things.

"We don't have to play a game. We could....uh....." His mind continued to draw a blank. It seemed the only 'bonding' he could do with other cubs was playing. Not that it was a bad thing.

When he brother noticed she didn't really wish to play the game he suggested she sighed a soundless sigh. He asked her to smile, but she frowned her face up in irritation. She didn't want to smile, she wanted to speak.

She opened her mouth to shout at him, but no words came and she quickly shut it. Her frown intensified. She needed a way to communicate.

Suddenly Hira smiled thinking maybe her brother could help her. She thought for a moment wondering how to convey it to him. Than she had it. He wanted her to smile and she did, now she wanted to tell him the same.

Hira concentrated on her brother trying to make certain she had his attention. She raised her paw and touched her maw and smiled, then she looked to Risa before repeating the motion.

After she repeated it a few times, she hoped her brother understood what she was saying. Hira smiled and touched Risa's maw, hoping he would smile as well.

It wasn't really a game, but it seemed fun enough.

At first, Risa's eyes seemed more depressed then happy at Mazhira's initial reaction. It was something he never enjoyed seeing, forced happiness. But somehow, he knew, that deep down, Hira cared, just in her own way. And he didn't want to change her unique way of doing things.

He bounced on his toes a moment; he was anticipating words. He wanted to hear them so badly, but he wasn't expecting them. He knew it would take time for them to come, and he would wait for her, forever if that's how long it took. It almost made him giddy just thinking about hearing her beautiful voice, and showing it off to all of his friends. He'd show it to everyone, regardless of whether he knew them or not.

It was an unexpected thing, her small paw touching his mouth. He was focusing hard, now, on his dark-colored sister, multi-colored eyes staring into hers intently. She wanted something, and he only hoped that he did what she wanted him to. There was nothing that would sadden him more then frustrating her by his own incompitence. A little smile touched his face lightly, and he leaned in, his forehead resting on hers. "You want something, Hira?" He was almost trying to make her say something, but that was being selfish of him.

Hira smiled when her brother smiled and was exciting that he may have understood her. Her smile disappeared when he it became obvious that he hadn't really understood but instead smiled of his own accord. Hira, however, was determined. Hira nodded to her brother indicating she did indeed want something.

She took a step back and repeated her earlier gesture, raising her paw to her maw, than smiling. She showed her brother twice more hoping he would understand. After she finished showing him the gesture, she pointed her paw at him before bringing her paw up to her maw. She desperately hoped he would understand her this time. She wanted him to understand and smile for her.

She stood back trying to keep her frustrations at bay and waited to see if he would understand her.

"You really do have a way with words." He giggled, his maw widening in a laugh. He quickly ran through the possible things she could have wanted; he briefly thought of food, but the thought was shoved away, and he remembered what he asked of her. It was a simple thing, but it meant the world to him, so maybe she just wanted the same thing.

At first, he smiled sheepishly, but it grew to be happy and vivid as he rose his head. "Is that it, Hira?" He stepped forward, nuzzling her. It seemed awkward to just stand there and smile, so he had to do something else. The feeling of her soft fur on his felt nice; she was warmer than he, but that was probably due to the fact that her pelt was the total opposite of his.

"Here, let's go play!" He took a few steps, encouraging her to follow him. After all, playing always made them both smile.
