Faraja strolled lightly across the plain - it had only been a day or so since she'd been on the move again. Klahan the wounded lion by the water hole had been well enough to go on his own - and no doubt had already made his way back to seek the fate of his Pride. She wished him well in her mind - and hoped the warrior Lion would find a good ending to his plight.
She had briefly thought of joining him on his journey home - but as he had no idea just what he would find there and she had not been willing to put that added stress upon him they had parted ways. She rather missed him - he had been good company.
Faraja was used to traveling alone however and had quickly reverted to her old habits, moving during the mornings, lazing about during the worst part of the days heat - hunting in the evenings. Old habits - even those which had been disrupted for a time were hard to break and she back into them easily enough. Indeed the chocolate colored lioness cracked a yawn as the sun rose shimmers of heat across the horizon - nearly time for her afternoon siesta and pausing she searched the land for a suitable resting place.
There in the distance - a clump of trees beckoned her forth and with a brief stretch she trotted off in the direction of their promised shade. It was a welcome relief and upon arriving she flopped upon the ground intent on grooming the worst of travelers dust from her ruffled fur before sleeping. Just because one was a vagabond after all didn't mean they ought to suspend all forms of propriety.

The large lion was still nursing a few rather stinging wounds from his late night encounter with that black male. It had been a number of days, and they still hadn't fully healed. Adebowale didn't want to think about how that male would look now. He'd beaten him up rather hard.
Still... he was able to walk and able to function. That was always a good thing. Adebo walked into the shade of a clump of trees to lick once again at his paw. He barely got his paw near his mouth when he smelled it. The scent of another lion. He tensed for a moment, but the scent was different from the black male's... it was female.
His green eyes scanned the trees for a moment, not finding the origin of the scent. Huh? He could have sworn he smelled a female around here...

Faraja was still lost in her inner musings and grooming having tucked herself away in the darkest part of the shade when the spotted male made his way into the shady sanctuary. Freezing for a few moments she watched him critically - did he seem aggressive? dangerous? He hadn't spotted her yet - due she expected to her dark hide. Helpful that in the right situations...
Still there was time to slink off if needed, but Faraja found herself dismissing this idea as he licked at a paw, the scent of blood hung in the air - was he wounded? or had he just finished a hunt? It was hard to tell but it didn't smell like a hunt, no prey scent lingered along with the blood.
Had she somehow stumbled upon yet another wounded creature? making a right habit of it Fara she thought to herself, although granted this beast seemed in far better shape then Klahan had been.
"Hello?"
She called out hesitantly towards the spotted beast, standing to make her way out of the shadows so that he could see her better - it wouldn't do to startle him after all.

Adebowale looked up at the voice, head turning this way and that. so there was a lioness hidden in the trees! His eyes scanned them before they -barely- picked out the outline of a lion. He sniffed in that direction cautiously, paw still half way to his mouth, before letting himself relax.
"Hello. It's alright. I won't hurt you," he called out, hoping to make her feel a little more alright with him around. He hadn't been around females much, but figured it would be best to just be safe when it came to dealing with them.
He already got in a fight. He didn't need another where his morals kept him from fighting back.

Faraja studied him for a few moments - tail tapping out a little beat on the ground before she padded closer, studious eyes regarding him as she approached, a slight smile tugging at her maw.
"Although clearly you have hurt..someone"
She remarked with a nod to his wounded paw although there was no chastisement in the comment, one got the impression she was merely poking at him in a friendly manner. of course he could have lost whatever struggle had wounded him, been on the receiving end far more then the giving...but it seemed rather rude and unwise to make such a joke without first knowing his temper and how he would take it. Some lions were picky about things like that.
"I'm Faraja"
She introduced herself once she drew close enough, sitting with her tail wrapping lightly around her forelimbs.
"It seems we were both drawn to the shade - rather pleasant in this heat"

Adebo shrugged a little, scratching his nose with his paw. His green eyes turned to her and he smiled kindly as she gave her name.
"A pretty name... I am Adebowale," he said, licking at his paw again. "Aye, it is." The large lion looked around, shaking out his mane with a yawn. It really was a nice place to rest.
"Do you travel much, Faraja? I don't see many lionesses out here... or maybe it's because I'm not looking," he asked her.

Faraja nodded slightly as he introduced himself, smiling slightly to herself as he complimented her name - a lady does always like such things after all. Studying the large male Faraja saw a kindness in his face that was often lacking in many others she had met during her travels, most wanders she reflected had been hardened, turned cold by the hardships of traveling alone. Despite his kind looks however Faraja was keenly aware that this male seemed quite capable of handling himself when the need arose - did not his wounds speak of that quite obviously? He did not however seem inclined to take take offense towards her and so she put such thoughts from her mind.
"Thank you,I am told it means mercy" She remarked conversationally in reference to her name, continuing on to comment on the rest of his questions "I expect that traveling has become somewhat of a habit of mine, always looking - never finding, is the words most apt I think. Yourself?"
