Nac was once again lounging and making yet another flower necklace, sure they'd die sooner or later and make him sad but at least he could flaunt the pretties for a bit. Of course he made sure he enough flowers to do something for his tail and possibly a leg too.
His tail swished as he laid on his back in his little makeshift hammock of vines. It was so much safer to sleep in such a thing than in a tree. At least there weren't visions of himself falling out of it every few hours and he was safe to work as he pleased.
He wondered when he'd see his father again or anyone else for that matter. He enjoyed company even when it was of the non-mortal sort. He supposed having a God for a father would do that to you. He inspected his flower necklace curiously ears listening for the sounds of anyone coming.

While Khuluma was all for meeting gods, he was less inclined to be joyous over meeting mortals. It wasn’t that he hated them, but he was still warming up the meeting them. He had met a few thus far, but it was a slow and steady warmth to get use to the idea that if he wanted to learn more, he could not limit himself to only immortal encounters.
If there was a great place to learn this, is was here in the jungle. Right now, Khuluma didn’t care who he met, a immortal or mortal, as long as they could string two sentences together and didn’t want to eat him. The jungle, while beautiful, was a miserable place to travel through. The vegetation was thick and he found it hard to walk around through the dense foliage. It was hot, which just did nothing for his hair, and when he tried flying, he got caught in a bunch of vines and had fallen to the ground. Right now, his backside hurt, his wings, useless, were bulky on his back, and he felt hot. Why wasn’t there a nice trail around for little cubs to follow? Someone should really get on that.
It wasn’t as if Khuluma was being stealthy either. Knowing that pushing through the jungle could get lots of unwanted attention was something no one had taught him. Instead, he snapped a fern, giving a tired “Excuse me.” to make up for breaking the plant. Where was the God of Trails when you needed him?
Pushing through, he entered an open space and froze when he saw someone hanging in a bundle of vines and since they had no wings, they were mortal. Bad thing was, Khuluma hadn’t thought to hide his own. He REALLY needed to remember to keep doing that!

Nac heard movement and at first mistook this for his father, though why the god was walking he'd never understand. "Really Lim, you didn't have to walk back to tell me you found her.... You could've just used your godly awesomeness of appearing and scaring the crap outa me ag-...." He paused in his joke as he turned to look around he blinked seeing at first no one there.
Then he looked down and blinked again before he grinned with silly delight. "Ohhh I'm sorry I thought you were my father for a second, though why he'd walk I'm not quite sure.... Wait you're a god...dess too right?" He moved his flowers down to the ground a bit unsure... the kid had long hair like a lady but sorta looked built like a fellow... but oh well, Nac bailed out of his hammock looking at the little one.
Tail flickered behind him as he shook out his mane a bit. As he inspected the cub before sitting down beside his flowers."Name's Narcissus." He added as a very later and unimportant afterthought.

Khuluma looked perplex that he was being called a god and then a goddess. Did he look like a goddess? If so, then was that a complement or not. Maybe the heat was getting to this lion. Not getting it, he instead took interest in what the lion was saying. He was waiting for his father, and he mentioned he was a god too. Did that mean this lion’s father was a god? How could that be?!
Confused, he reared up slightly as the other approached, but kept his ground. The male was friendly, if not someone who was making him think a million things at once “I’m not a goddess. I’m Khuluma. I’m just pretty.” To this, he smiled. Gods could be pretty too.
“Is your father a god? But…you’re not. I thought gods had gods. Are you hiding your wings?" If so, he wondered what god Narcissus was. He was sure he'd have pretty wings to match his black and purple markings.

Narcissus chuckled slightly, "Oh well that explains it and you are very pretty indeed. The long hair confused me for a minute." He said honestly.
Tail flickered softly he chuckled at the question, "Yes my father's Limbuko." He shifted softly, "Heh unfortunately I'm not a... I guess you'd say full blood god. My mother is Leopard."
He looked around, "It'd be interesting having wings if such was possible." His tail flickered, "Apparently halflings, half gods that is... have these vision things. Soo they, us.... I can see things while gods can't... but they're not quite as grand as most other powers."

Gods made families with mortals? He could understand having their company, but having children? He never thougth gods would even look at anyone aside from other gods. Did that mean he could have mortal relatives if he did have family? What if he had been passing his own kin this entire time. True, half kin, but still kin. He at least knew he was created by other gods, or maybe as Limbuko had said, just had none, but he never considered gods would be with mortals to start families. Yet here he was, and here was Narcissus, and Limbuko’s child?!
Khuluma was overcome with shock. The god had never told him he had children, and half children at that! “ I didn’t think mortals and gods would even be together to start families. ” He couldn’t help it. He just had to say that. It was surprising.
Shaking his head, he looked back at Narcissus. He guessed if he looked at it, the man did look a little like Limbuko. “I’ve met Limbuko. He’s the one who taught me how to fly and helped me come here. Not here, here, in this jungle, but here..” He set a paw on the ground, before looking up. “From there. I was on a mountain, and he helped me down. I suppose the mountain isn’t anywhere here, but you get the idea.”
His eyes went back to looking Narcissus over. “I guess you look a little like him, but he has white hair, and he’s a lion. What are you? ” He was a darker purple instead of the light lilac of Limbuko’s pelt, and didn’t have peacock wings at all. He guessed even half-gods didn’t have that. Poor things. He did wonder about these powers, but Narcissus was too vague and unclear for his liking. He wondered if Limbuko would be about, as he had a terrible fondness for the god who helped him arrive to this world. The god had been his handsome hero.

Nac listened to Khuluma, head tilted looking curiously, "Why wouldn't they have children with Mortals? He doesn't really stick around, but he's around when I need him."
He seemed slightly amused, "Heh well Limbuko is the god of Pleasure. Anything that makes anyone happy he'll be happy to help make it happen."
He nodded, "Yeah sorta... I think. Doubt many mortals get there though, I think I've seen more gods in the past little while than I normally do." He laughed.
"I'm a leopon.... half lion, half leopard..... and you know half god." His tail flickered softly. His tail flickered, "So what's your domain Khuluma, can I call you Khul btw? You can call me Nac if you want to."

“Well, I thought elephants go with elephants, and vultures with vultures, gods with gods, and mortals with mortals. That’s what I thought, but I guess that gods can go with mortals, and well, I guess now lions can go with leopards. Does that mean elephants can go with vultures now?” He was a bit confused. “Well, maybe more like vultures and hawks, since they are both birds. Does that makes sense?” None of this really did. Where exactly was the line that told you what made up a family? Not only could you adopt whoever you felt could be family, but now you could be with anyone even if they weren’t the same. It was all confusing. It was like matching apples and oranges together and making bananas. Wait, is that now fruit worked? Ah! He was feeling his brain hurt already.
“Mortals can go up the mountain. It’s our place. It’s nothing special though. On top of the mountain, there is nothing but a city of ice and no one around. It’s cold and there is nothing to do, but wait for company. It was too lonesome for me, so when Limbu – your father - showed up, he helped me. I could have gotten hurt if he wasn’t there.”
Now that he thought about it, it made sense that Limbuko was a father. He had taken care of Khuluma and was a good teacher. He was also very nice to have around. “It must be nice to have a family. I’m sure Limbuko would be fun to have as a father. You’re really lucky. He was very nice to me, and made me happy. I guess he makes lot of people happy, but that’s what he does after all.” Limbuko was such a nice god, and he felt the lion was good at his job.
At the nickname, the gold godling titled his head, repeating the name Khul. “Khul sounds nice. I never shortened my name. Khul. It makes me think of snow. Oh, I’m the god of Rhetoric. I’m still learning though. I’m still new, but I’ve met lots of gods, goddesses, and a few mortals. You’re one of the few I met, but I guess you don’t count. You count as half a god, half a mortal, and my very first half-god. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Nac! ” This was his first half god meeting, and it was one of Limbuko’s children. This was a very lucky day, as both Limbuko and Nac where very nice. He also liked Nac , because it sounded like knack, like Nac has a knack for nicknames. He grinned at the thought. Boy, was he funny.

Nac listened head trying to wrap around everything the kid said and he chuckled. "I don't think Elephants and vultures work... and I'm not really sure about other birds. However.... I think Leopards, Lions and... maybe Cheetahs can... mix?" He was trying to choose his words slightly delicately 'cause after all the god was a cub.... so he wasn't sure what words he could say.
"But basically Lions x Leopards, if the er halfbreed can aid in having a family likely you can have Leopons x Lions or Leopards or another Leopon...." He wiggled his nose thinking about it. It sounded odd but he didn't see why it wouldn't work, "I'm not sure how the Cheetah thing would work though... haven't met any yet."
He chuckled "I call him Lim too, 'cause sometimes calling him dad is a bit odd..." He nodded softly, "Yeah sounds like it. But it might be a bit hard for a mortal to actually get there. If it's cold like you said. You gotta remember you guys are immortal.... I'm rather squishy compared to that."
Nac chuckled again amused by the god tail flickering, "I would suppose so. If my visions were more..... important you might could call me a... seer? I think that's what Lim said they called the ones with these silly visions." His tail flickered softly with a smile. "And the pleasure's all mine Khul."
He murred softly "The reason I called you lim was I've kinda been waiting for him to come back with word he found my sister." He looked sideways at the God of Rhetoric absentmindedly wondering what the domain included...

While others were often winded by how much Khuluma asked or said, the god took no noticed and instead listened to what Nac said in response, eyes wide and ears open. He liked learning new things, and here he had a real half-bred, which excited him. What a odd thing to learn about today. Here he thought he was just going to learn how hot the jungle actually got, but instead he found company, and a relative of a friend.
“It all sounds very complicated. Mixing and matching this and that to make something else. Well, it certainly seems to work. You are very friendly and handsome like your father, but you have that fluffy tail. ” He hadn’t noticed until now that Nac didn’t have a lion tail, but a big fluff tail. It made him wish he had a big fluffy tail, because it looked like you could have a nice time taking a nap if you have a tail like that. Nac was probably very comfortable to sleep with.
Looking out, he followed Nac’s eyes and looked to the jungle around them. “You lost your sister? That’s sad. How did you lose her, and do you have more sister – oh, and brothers? How many siblings do you have?” he liked hearing about families, and since he had none of his own, listening almost made him more able to fantasize about his own. Each time someone talked about family, he brushed closer to what it might feel like to have a sibling, a brother, a father.

Nac stretched, "Indeed and some of that is only guessing on my part. There's no tellings how far hybreeds can go."
He watched the cub and then softly nodded, "Both of them. I don't quite know the whole story but I think maybe one of them thought I was lost or something and went to look for me and then they got lost.... when I got back to mother she clung to me so I never got to go look for them."
He idly worked with the flowers now still talking to Khul, "Only two sisters... well of which I know of as far as family goes. I'm sure Lim has other kids too. Seeing as what his domain is it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he has all kinds of kids running around."

It’s sad that your sister is missing, but I’m sure Limbuko can find him. He’s a god after all, and he’s great at flying. He is probably searching all around for her. Since his power is to make people happy, then I’m sure he wouldn’t want her to be sad.” He just hoped he would find her. Being alone…well, He was alone, but he was use to it. Sort of. That sister had a brother like Nac and a father like Limbuko waiting for her return. He also imaged a mother clinging to her son because she was worried.
Khuluma suddenly felt a wave of envy that seized his heart, and his smile grew smaller, but he forced himself to remain smiling. It wasn’t his turn to feel bad. Nac had more to worry about than he did.
At the mention of many family members, Khuluma turned his head and tried to think as to why being a God of Pleasure had anything to do with large families, before a smile spread on his face. “Ah, because he likes to make many mortals happy, right? I’m sure being a father to many children and being a husband is just the thing he would do. ” even though Khuluma met the god of Pleasure, “that” talk had never come up, and thus far, no one had cleared it up for him. To him, they guts got together, and suddenly there were cubs. He didn’t know how, but he assumed it had something to do with magic. Just being together, and then the mother had children. Maybe it just had something to do with being close to someone that made you have children, like being blessed to wake up with them. He would like to think that if he got older, he would have a family. He’d hope he’d meet someone as nice and kind as Limbuko or Nac, and just as pretty!

"Yeah he said he'd come back when he found her and show me where she was." He finished up the necklace and looked at it, curiously before looking at Khul.
"They don't last long since they're flowers...." He'd noticed the cubs smile grow a bit smaller, "Heh I think I made them too little for me to wear this time. Would you like 'em? It's suppose to be a necklace." He said tail flickering as he held up the flowers. It was something to do to keep him busy.
Nac nodded, "Haha... yeah he likes to make people happy, and anything that makes them happy makes him happy." Tail flicker, "so sometimes he kills two birds with one stone."
"You know though, I've heard having friends is just like having a family." Nac had gotten the feeling with all the family talk that the god cub was kinda wishing he had one. Speically after seeing the smile flicker for a second.

He hadn’t expected a present, and smiled up at the little necklace. There was something about flower necklaces that he liked. A simple string of beautiful, fragile flowers made by paw, made it special. He looked at the necklace held up by Nac. “I’d love it. It’s very pretty. ” For Khuluma, making something out of flowers was still something that he felt required great talent. He had tried, but all he did was make a bunch of twisted stems and winkled petals which made him feel bad for ruining the buds.
“A lot of people have been telling me that adopting friends as family is almost as better as having real family. I want to adopt lots of friends so that I have the biggest family. I like having lots of friends around. It makes me happy. Do you like having lots of family, Nac? Still, it’s only “just like” after all. I keep thinking that I might have a mother or father somewhere, but no one’s seen them. I wonder if they are hiding, but then I think that that wouldn’t make sense, because then they would be hiding from me…” His eyes misted as he looked at the flower necklace before he looked up at Nac with soft, sapphire eyes.
“How did you make that? I tried once, and I ruined it. I don’t have any powers, but I would like to be able to make things for friends that are close to me.”

Nac watched him before softly putting the necklace around the cubs neck listening, "There you go." He said softly.
He chuckled, "Well... it could be your parents might've ended up in some trouble and ended up reborn? You know since I heard that happens with gods in stories. Then they might not remember they were parents?" He shifted softly, "I hear a lot of cubs don't know who their father is."
His tail flickered, "So sometimes it happens." He shrugged softly, "I doubt they're hiding. If they are they're not doing it knowingly I'm sure."
He paused, "Well .... heh I've had a lot of practice, I use to do the same thing when I was your age. I just never really gave up. Getting it started is the hardest thing." He picked up some of the left over flowers and worked on starting another to try to show him how to tie the flowers.
"When I was younger they wouldn't tie just right 'cause my paws were too little, so I'd end up using my tongue to tie them." He chuckled, "Might not be the best way but it was the only way I could figure out to do it at the time."
