Lol, I don't have much to say here... Except that Valve has decided to add in a new update. Too bad it ain't a class. Just more.... HATS!!!
http://www.teamfortress.com/classless/
Also, a friend of a friend of mine found hidden links from that update.

Looks like we got a new game mode. King of the Hill!!! (KOTH) And three new maps... Well, Sawmill and Nucleus aren't really new, but they're just converted into new game modes. :3 Anatole_serial DAY 3: Two more maps. Oh, and another, little itty bitty thing: IT'S OUT, PEOPLE. The Update has left the Valve building and it's now ON THE WILD

I already assumed the Soldier would be next, but this update looks more of a Civilian update. VIP mode might be added in.
What I don't care for is that it's an Arena map. I've seen that map as a custom map, so it's not too surprising for me, buuuut I'd like to see more CTF and TC maps.

It's one of the most under-played game types out there. And yes, more CTF maps would be fine, too, if they're interesting enough.

Well, our server has one custom TC map, but it's nothing compared to an OFFICIAL map.

Hey, on Enigmatical, there's an Easter Egg! See if you can find it!
Edit: Sorry, I didn't really expect 11,111 medals to go so fast. Who knew there were so many fans that would find it?

So far:
King of the Hill is awesome. The new KotH map, Viaduct... Well, not so awesome. But it's still fun. My best KotH game was in Nucleus... It even feels as if the map had been originally made with KotH in mind. A perfect fit, and my recommendation to start playing some KotH. Couldn't play Sawmill much, tough: The map was rotated out fairly quickly.
Yukon is a superb CP map. It's been a while since I've played a push CP map that had me turning on my toes with excitement. It's big, with enough closed spaces to be sneaky, while mantaining open spaces for big, epic skirmishes.
Offblast is, indeed, a really good map. Took me a while to figure out its structure, but once I did it got really fun and wild.
I plan to play som CTF in Sawmill. I've never been much of a CTF fan, to tell the truth, but some of my most memorable TF2 moments have taken place at Turbine, so I'm not too adverse at playing ctf_sawmill, now that I've played all the other maps.

Personally, I believe this game has changed so much, that it's almost a whole new game. But maybe that's what Valve wanted.
I like...
Well I LOVE KotH Viaduct. Lots of fun places to ambush people as a Pyro or Spy. It's also a very nice looking map. smile
I seem to also have improvement in my graphics quality and rendering. biggrin It runs a lot smoother on my PC than it did prior to the Classless update.
I also LOVE the loser animations. biggrin I mean, the losers usually run away at the end of a match, so why not make it funny?
I don't like...
The particular things I don't like is the Crit charge on CTF. It's just... Too wild in my opinion.
I also don't like the Demoman's ability to stickyjump so far. If used right, it makes escaping too easy. I believe I saw one fly right over to the opposite side of CTF Sawmill with the intel!

Valve did say that they wanted to explore the concepts of RPG-style gameplay with TF2, but at the same time, keeping TF2's true nature still in tact.

I still think they ruined the scout slightly by changing the sandman. :[

CaptainBaconMan I still think they ruined the scout slightly by changing the sandman. :[ What would you have done, then? I have never used the Sandman. Before, because it took away double jumping (The #1 ofensive/defensive Scout maneuver), and now because... Well, I tend to play high-risk. 95 HP is never enough for high-risk style gameplay. I have noticed more people using the Sandman lately, though.
