"Miss Uuni, what a pleasure." Kesslan's soft voice sounded amused, rather than sarcastic as she let her dark eyes run over the other girl, thumbs hooked casually into her belt. The blonde had become a bit leggier, a bit bustier, a bit... Well, more of everything over the past few months, including disciplined, and now that she and Condoroth could be separated for more than a few minutes, the weyrling had been able to get back into Ista life just a bit.
So here she was, fully clothed with a half-smiled on her freckled face, at the bathing pools, the smaller, more deserted areas. Most people didn't bathe this late at night [or early in the morning, whichever], and it was a good time to go. Searching for relaxation and finding Uuni instead. "Avoiding anyone in particular?"
Word from Avery was that Uuni had a new roommate. From what the brunette had said, Dayo was one sharp lass, someone Kess could get along with. Of course, she and Uuni clashed quite a bit.

There were some things in life that Uuni just couldn't understand. Why it hated her so much, for one.
It felt like she'd just settled into to the hot water and closed her eyes before a voice drummed over and threatened to give her a headache. Tipping her head back, neck arched, she strained her eyes to catch Kesslan's upsidedown image.
"Hello to you, too, Kess," she murmured as she tilted her head back and shifted around to catch a better view. It seemed she forgot all about the 'shortened name' requirement.
At the question, however, she let a scowl cross her features as she lowered farther into the hot water. "Cleanliness roommate from the far reaches of between," she explained with a distinct grumble to her voice.
She'd purposely come all the way to these baths to be rid of her.

The blonde didn't correct the brunette, instead that slight smile growing as she began to undo the buckles her arm guards into place. They were set carefully aside on a ledge as one hand went to her belts, unfastening the buckles as she tilt her head to one side, gaze still on the older girl.
"She sounds pleasant." The two belts were cast aside and her shin-guards were next. "Mind if I join you?" Boots were removed, the shoulder-knot, and she began to unlace her tunic. Kess didn't seem to be waiting for agreement, after all, weyrlings were a bit short on freetime.

Pleasant? Kess had to be kidding her. Uuni gave a tiny sound of dismissal and started to work her hands through her hair. It was going to take a long time to get the strands dry, but they needed a wash.
"Be my guest," she said with a yawn, the sound muffled from the hand over her mouth, although she was fairly sure that Kess wasn't going to take no for an answer.
On second glance, there was a lot about Kess she'd missed before. Maybe it was the slightly loose clothes hiding certain features, but. . .
Catching herself off in bad fantasies, she shifted over to give Kess all the space she could ever need or want. "How's it going with you and grumpy weyrling master?" she asked to stir the air. Silence she could tolerate just fine, but it had been a long time without talking.

Kess's clothing was definitely better tailored nowadays, to say the least. The blonde seemed to discard her clothing without a second thought, quietly sliding into the hot water with a slight hissing noise. The intake of breath through her teeth a mixture of surprise and pleasure at the heat that caused her to shoot Uuni a wide grin.
Uuni had indeed left her plenty of room, though the blonde wasn't taking much advantage of it with how close she was sitting. Reaching up with one hand, she removed the tie from her hair, rolling her shoulders to relax them. "F'sey? Fine." An eyebrow. "We've come to terms, one could say."
Showing no reservations, the blonde reached over, brushing Uuni's ear with her fingertips as she touched the older girl's hair. "It must take you ages to wash by yourself..." Trailing off, she grinned. "At least you have such a helpful roommate to assist you with that nowadays."
Avery had informed Kess of Uuni's freak-out. Hilarious.

Although Uuni showed no physical signs of distress, if she were a dragon, her eyes would have been whirling yellow. At this point, she was fairly sure Kess was looking for excuses to touch her ears. That would have been all fine and dandy, but there were two small problems with the equation.
Closing her eyes, she took in a deep breath and forced relaxation as her mind occupied itself with listening to Kess talk.
"Oh, please," she muttered and the aggravated expression had returned. "There's only one way that girl gets to touch my hair, and until that happens, she better stay on her side of the room." Honestly, touching her stuff? Cleaning the room? ORGANIZING her things!? The woman was aggravating, mad, but at least quite pretty.
"I'm going to get grey hairs early," she muttered, then looked over at Kess. "Or you could wash it?" Too blunt? Ah, they were only friends, right? Right.

"You spoke my mind." A grin again and her hand slid down to the brunette's shoulder, pulling her closer so that they were facing the same direction. "You're going to make me thing Condor's not the only one I have a bond with."
A feel for her green told her the dragonet was sleeping, the content feeling of Condorth's full belly making her a tad drowsy and comfortable. Long fingers easily sunk into thick hair and Kess let out a slow, deep breath at the sensation.
This was going to be fun.
"Other than Dayo... How are you?"

"You sound like Avery," Uuni muttered pointedly. Absolutely insane, Avery. Other than being raving mad, the girl wasn't so bad, but Uuni was convinced she needed to see a mindhealer.
"And her 'you're going to make me think you actually like me' nonsense." It got a little old after the third time. Then again, everything got a little old after the third time, which was why she liked to switch things up so often.
Okay, so maybe fingers through her hair didn't get old. Kess wasn't the only one getting drowsy and comfortable and it showed when she lazily found some soap and handed it over her shoulder to Kess.
"Mmmm, what?" The voice was distracting, and she had to go backwards in her temporary memory to catch what Kess was saying. "Just peachy. You know, I'd poison her, but she's probably immune to that sort of thing." Which was, of course, a joke, because Uuni would never have seriously considered such a brutish act just because the girl was a clean freak.
"I bet if you tied up her hands, she'd clean with her feet," she murmured. It was worth a shot. Maybe Yali could paint the 'expression'.
Letting it go, finally, she rolled her shoulders back a bit, feeling her back brush on someone else's skin. "And you? How's your blood-drinking beast doing?" Obviously, it was an affectionate term for Condoroth.

"I have a hard time taking that as an insult," After all, Avery was one of her favorite people. Fingers massaging the older girl's head as she began to work in the soap, Kess continued her quiet musings, enjoying the occasional brushes of their bodies against one another on a purely sensual level.
She'd been hard at work, these past fortnights, learning to calm herself and to stifle feelings that she shouldn't be having. Meditation, of sorts, on one's tasks had its perks, and Kesslan had been learning to accept things as they were.
"Give your roommate a chance, Uuni." A low, quiet chuckle. "You just want an excuse to tie her up."
After all, she'd never risk Condoroth, so this is what she would settle for, without pushing boundaries past where she'd learned they belonged, and for good reason.
"Condoroth is brilliant." A smile warmed her words. "She follows instruction perfectly. Very precise. An envy, in drills."

Uuni grinned. "Okay; caught," she admitted.
All jokes (and some seriousness) aside, Dayo had lost her chance when she'd organized things by color. She'd been half afraid that all of her 'uncouth' clothes would have been tossed. Of course, by now, that meant she'd only have one pair that was truly suitable for the tight-ended and straight-edged individual.
"Oh, please," Uuni said with a laugh and then forgot what she was going to say. Kesslan wasn't half bad at this hair-washing task.
What was it, again? It had been witty.
Oh yes, "I think someone is slightly biased." That being said, Uuni had no doubt that Condoroth was probably giving her best despite what the outcome might have been. It must have been agitating to have a lifepartner that wanted that much perfection. Then again, knowing Kess. . .
"Can you, maybe, a little to the left?" Nonsense words, but Kesslan would probably get the message.

Luckily for Uuni, Dayo was very nonjudgemental, and simply organized, not removed, objects from their shared quarters.
"Mmhmm," A mumur and Kesslan's hands adjusted. She'd been doing a lot of massaging lately, considering her current one-and-only love needed to be oiled every day.
"I'm not biased, I'm just observant." Her voice was soft, soothing, and she didn't mind if Uuni paid attention or not. It was definitely relaxing to be in the hot water with the brunette, this late at night, with the loud noises of weyr-life finally dimming.
She was indeed observant, and she happened to like watching Uuni a lot. "You haven't been with as many men lately." Specifically older dragonriders. Her tone was neutral, casual. Perhaps the girl had simply been busy.

The last line caused her to snap out of thought. Her first reaction would be, 'you just haven't seen', but no, it was true.
"There's only so many people in the Weyr," she answered with a quieted voice. To be completely honest, she hadn't been with as many women, either.
One of those months, she supposed. The ones she had on occassion where everything just stopped. Or it could have been that Avery had been switching on the strange dreams like some sort of glowbasket maker.
She'd been with Avery not a few nights before, learning some tricks of the trade through observation, and she'd actually been slightly disgusted when someone had hit on her. She'd almost said, 'I'm taken.' It had sounded too weird on her tongue to say, and there was the main point: she wasn't.

"Mmhmm," Kesslan's agreement was amused and, after working the soap through all of Uuni's hair, she touched the paler girl's shoulder again, softly signalling completion. "And that so many is more than enough, it's not the excuse for the lull." A chuckle and she was leaning forward until their bodies were touching, she muttered, letting the prior topic drop.
"Need help rinsing?" An innocent enough question and she waited patiently for a response, her free hand sliding down to massage the brunette's lower back.

It was a rather good thing that Kesslan had started to talk again, because the subtle signs of discomfort had started to work their way along her features.
"No, I'm okay," she answered with furrowed brows and moved away to dunk her head under the water and rid the soap herself.
She cast another look to Kesslan when she'd finished, the water dripping down her nose before she wiped her face with a similarly damp hand and slowly stood to ring out her hair.
"It's getting late." And she needed to go find one of those 'people in the Weyr'. Now.

Kess, left to her own devices quite suddenly, returned to her usual behavior as an introvert, ducking her head under the water before moving to the side of the bathing pool. Hair darkened and wet, the blonde weyrling, crossed her arms on the edge of the pool, gaze locked on Uuni.
Her expression was near like a sad puppy's before she schooled it, going blank and resting her chin on her forearms. "That it is." A neutral statement. "Avery was hoping we could all play cards later," A pause before she continued. "I'll let her know that something else came up."
