To be honest, Soloren didn’t particularly enjoy having to smooth things over like he was currently trying to do, watching the tail of the female walking in front of him as she huffed and shook her head every time she looked back at him. Siigh, had Rotem really felt the need to word his statement the way he had? If the other cheetah had actually thought about the matter in the least before he’d gone off and insulted the young lady, perhaps he wouldn’t be needing to go and smooth things over now.

Freya, however, was less than thrilled by the idea that the male was currently following her after what Rotem had said. This young man hadn’t even introduced himself before barging in on their argument (forbid she remember that she’d asked him to join it in hopes he’d agree with her). Some men were just such fools! Ohhh no! She was just going to go and settle in with Makani (her unofficial mate it seemed. Ah the humor) and seethe the whole meeting off!

But it seemed for several minutes the colorful male was following her, suddenly turning on him and prickling. “What to you want?” she asked haughtily, causing Soloren to pause mid step to keep himself out of paws-reach. He just had one of those feelings that told him that if he hung around for too long he was going to end up getting himself swatted.

He didn’t really want to try and explain to some unknown female why it was he had scratches on his face.

“I don’t agree with the young man’s reasoning.” He said plainly, a frown pulling itself across his maw, only to earn a frown from Freya in turn as the females golden-tipped tail whipped from side-to-side behind her, her eyes narrowing at the colorful male before she shook her head and plainly said:

“I don’t believe you.”

……
Oh charming! Kind of.

Soloren frowned a bit. “Well, I can at least see where it’s not uncommon for a male to run out on a pregnant female, therefore establish your point in that argument.” He said, causing Freya’s ears to flatten back against her head – “Well I can’t. Because the father of my children at least appeared in their lives.”

… WELL. That certainly made the entire argument seem slightly awkward, now didn’t it?

“So was your point that men are shallow?”

Soloren winced the moment the question came out, earning a harsh look from Freya who just snorted again. “Really, there’s a reason I prefer my males to be insincere.. they don’t try to ‘fix things’ when they mess up, because they don’t mess up. There’s nothing there, so they don’t have to hold it together.”

Woooaaaah, intimacy issues much there?

Soloren’s ears flickered back against his head. “And because of that you get up on your mighty klipspringer and throw a bitchy fi-“

WHACK!

Soloren hadn’t exactly been expecting the female’s reach to be as long as it had been, but it seemed that he’d just gotten popped on the nose before Freya went stalking off again, leaving him to return to his own devices. Note to self: females are strange. However, strange or not, he still loved them all.

Okay, all but the ones that would pop him on the nose.
