(( Nashorme - Manda
A'Lora - o0 Sephiros Immortal 0o ))

Once Tawa'di had left them to their own devices, Nash turned to his mate and purred softly, nuzzling at 'Lor just a bit. "I think... that we've found the perfect place to settle down here." From talk on the way, they had learned of the pride's customs and traditions, both lions taking it all in eagerly. Now, within the part of the lands reserved for Bird Clan, the two would need to find a small place to call their own.

'Lor bobbed her head in agreement, before ducking her head to rub her nose under Nash's chin affectionately. "It would seem so...Farlest was right about a great many things, but I'd never imagined....that so much good would come of following her advice...you, and this place...a home..." And perhaps soon, there would be a family as well. She could dream, after all, and somehow, Nash didn't seem like he'd be at all opposed to the idea.

"Mmm... I've heard a lot about Farlest lately, it seems," Nash purred in response, leaning against the other just slightly in an affectionate manner. "Someday it might be nice to meet her, if we have the chance." For himself, he was already rather grateful to Farlest for pointing 'Lor toward him, even in some small way.

Bright eyes glancing around, she tilted her head up to scent the wind, trying to see if this was the territory of another before looking for a suitable place to rest. There were faint smells in this place, yes, but nothing like the overpowering scent that meant a claim. "Mmmm...you should meet her. I think you'd like her very much." The delicate seer had been one of 'Lor's closest friends, once upon a time.

Nash nodded at that, trusting his mate's judgement. Seeing what 'Lor was doing then, he also started to peer about, wondering if they might be lucky enough to find a good spot for a den on their first day here. In his past experiences, the place that looked the best ... well. Wasn't always the best in truth.

Scampering forward, towards old trees and rocks, she began to peer around them, under them, feeling out the area. Shopping, if you will. The tip of her tail twitched to and fro in silent glee...she'd never been so contented before, so eager to see what the future might bring her. Finally...she was happy and safe...and she could feel the warm eyes of her mate on her still, his gaze a reassurance that she wasn't cooking this all up in some prolonged daydream.

Nash watched 'Lor rather indulgently, looking around himself a little, flipping rocks over here and there with a flick of a paw. He really did like this area, but he'd prefer not to have to do -too- terribly much work on building a den. Better if they could find a small cave or something to work from...

Scouting along the edge of a large group of rocks, she sniffed then, scenting something familiar, and following her nose, she found a little opening in the rocks. She could probably squeeze through it, but Nash would be hardpressed to do so...but if they could move this boulder here... "Meleth!" Her melodic voice beckoned him nearer. This could work if that stone was movable.

Nash looked up at that, ears pricking toward his mate's call. Trotting over to where 'Lor was, he tilted head. "Did you find something?" he asked, eagerly peering about a bit.

"I think so..." She glanced up at him eagerly, her face alight with anticipation. "Do you think you can help me move this rock? I think if we do we can get in there and it might just make a suitable place to stay for the time being..." Or perhaps longer. It should be cool in the shade of the rocks, and the soil here was also conducive to keeping things pleasant in warmer and cooler temperatures.

Nash eyed that rock for a moment and then turned to put his shoulder up against it, shoving at the thing. To his surprise, it actually seemed to move rather easily. "This might just work..." he murmured - though he hadn't been sure, looking at the size of that boulder before.

She grinned up at the other, and ducking just under him, she also put her meager weight to the rock, and it shifted again, slowly moving away from the mouth of the little cavern. When finally it was far enough away for her satisfaction, she glanced between the rock, and Nash, and giving him a playful lick about the muzzle, she then slipped inside to check the place out.

Nash laughed softly at that and plopped down for a moment to allow his mate to explore first. Tail curling about his feet, he tilted head at the smallish opening, hoping that it was larger inside than out. "What's it look like in there?" he called after a moment, leaning forward a bit.

And it did open up quite a bit once she had made her way inside. Dimly lit by the sun's rays, it was a rough dirt expanse, by no means smooth, and perhaps a bit cobwebby, but that could be taken care of. It would be more than large enough for her and Nash...and if more came into the family well...it looked like there'd be a bit of space for such a precious gift as that too. "Promising! Come in and see for yourself!"

At that, Nash got up and padded inside, blinking when he walked right into one of said cobwebs at first. "Ew..." he muttered, swiping it off his face with a paw. But then once he looked around, the larger male smiled slightly. "Indeed.... I believe you're right, meleth."

Eagerly, she brushed shoulders with him, a rumbling purr welling up in her chest. "It has space...and won't be so bad once we've lived in it for a bit, hmmm?" it had potential, even if it didn't seem particularly homey just yet. It was a den, and one couldn't be too picky, especially being new to this region of the world.

"Mm... I think I'll have to agree with you there," Nash replied, with an answering purr - nuzzling at his mate. Then he smirked just slightly and moved to pounce upon her playfully, nibbling at an ear. "We'll have to clean it out a bit first... but I don't really want to work right now," he pointed out, tail swishing back and forth.

She squealed with glee, batting at her mate, allowing him to pin her as her ears swiveled towards him, a grin on her maw. "I don't particularly want to work either." She informed with a tiny shrug of her shoulder. And well, that just left open a whole world of possibilities...now didn't it?
