Badru wasn't entirely sure he could remember how he got himself into such circumstances. And where was Koth? The male's confused mind searched around for his faithful companion, and he felt upset and mild distress when he couldn't locate him. Looking up, however, he smiled at the sight of the familiar red lionness. Koth would be so proud of him, for making her so happy! He'd solved the problem of he making her sad, simply by making her happy again! Life was simple, and he himself was actually quite happy, knowing he'd done good and helped another.
Smiling brightly to her, he approached her, his large size creating shade in the sweltering mid-day heat bearing down on them.

(( Setting this a while after the first RP, so she's showing signs of being pregnant. XD; Good times. ))
Ibilisi was lay on her side, with her gaze firmly fixed on her swollen stomach. Apparently her little plan had worked, because now she appeared to be pregnant. Even though this was what she had wanted, she didn't like it one bit. Her beautiful figure was ruined, her emotions were all over the place and worst of all, she felt weak.
When Badru appeared over her, she allowed a small smile to cross her face. The lumbering male was the best thing to come out of all this, at least until she had her cubs. Scarily enough, he had actually grown on her, much like Katili had done. Katili however had thought of her as his mother, so her relationship with Badru was totally different. She was more like a nagging wife.
"Are you happy Badru?" This was a genuine question. As long as the male remained happy, he would stay with her. The further along she got with her pregnancy, the more she would probably come to rely on him, so it was important to her that he remain content.

She was smiling again! Badru's smile only grew wider and more sincere, a deep, rumbling purr even beginning in his throat as he watched her with an odd expression - perhaps mild devotion, childish obsession, and genuine joy at seeing another so seemingly happy. Badru lowered first his hind, then his front, until he was laying beside her, allowing to feel the vibrations of his purrs through his furry stomach.
"I'm very happy, Ibilisi!" he spoke, smile stretching to a grin, "because you're happy!" He paused for a moment, smile faltering as his ears flattened horizontally, his head tilting to the left, "...You are happy, right?"

Was she happy? Of course she wasn't. She looked like a fat little blob. If a hungry lion came by, the most she could manage was probably a swift kick to the head and a few good scratches. That would be about it though, as the very thought of such an incident caused her stomach to ache. No, she wasn't happy one bit.
"Yes, of course I am." She murmered, although her facial expression didn't match her words. "Why wouldn't I be?" As time went on, she had found it harder and harder to be nice. Badru was the sweetest lion she had ever known, and such behavior was positively sickening to her. And yet, the idea of him no longer being there, even after the cubs were born, wasn't the most pleasant of thoughts either.

He watched her curiously, constantly beaming a smile down as if he believed he could send telepathic happy waves to her brain, whihc would make her happier. His smile faltered once again, though, confusion clouding his face as he tried to work it out...she said she was happy, but she didn't look happy? Why would someone say they were happy when they weren't? That didn't make sense. So...why was Ibilisi doing it? ...Unless she wasn't doing it on purpose. Badru's face brightened - yes, that must be it! Maybe having cubs in her made her face stop working, and her words were true but her face and actions couldn't be trusted! He grinned - oh, he was so proud of himself!
"I don't know. I was just checking," he reassured her, nuzzling her neck - although more in the way a child might to it's mother, than in an intimate way - "I don't want you to be unhappy."

Now, whenever Katili used to nuzzle her, Ibilisi felt that it was her duty as his chosen adoptive mother to nuzzle him back. He was insanely large and strong, so although she believed she could manipulate him, she didn't want to get on his bad side. With Badru, she had no such duty, nor did she have any concern about him turning on her no matter what she did. And so a serious question was raised when he nuzzled her; why wasn't she ripping his face off?
"I know you don't." Her understanding of him at this point was beyond comprehension. Clearly he must've been dropped on his head as a cub, because he still seemed to have the mind of a cub. And no matter how cruel and sadistic she was, could she really raise her paw to a cub? No, she really couldn't. Instead, all she could do was raise a paw and pat him on the head.

He continued purring, his purrs getting louder, if anything. He was enjoying this. It reminded him...reminded him on a time a long, long time ago, when he'd had a mother. He hadn't been able to show real affection to anyone since that time. Her pat on the head and reassuring voice only prompted him further, nuzzling ceasing as he leaned his head on her shoulder, just laying still and enjoying her company.
"What are you going to do now, Ibilisi?" he asked, looking up at her with bright, innocent eyes. He liked that he could remember her name - sometimes he couldn't. So he kept saying hers, just to make sure he remembered.

"Well Badru, I'm going to do as little as possible until the cubs arrive. And then..." She trailed off, as her mind turned to darker things. The next stage of her plan would depend on two things; one, how many cubs she had and two, what genders they were. Although she had never encountered a male quite like Badru before, she knew from other males that she had met that they were simply much more easy to manipulate and control than females were. If she had a large enough litter, she could afford to abandon the females and keep only the males, so that there was less chance of any of her offspring rebelling against her.
She could worry about that later though. It would be a while before the cubs came, so until then, she would just focus on the task at hand; keeping Badru happy and make sure that he was willing to do her bidding. She managed a small smile, followed by a small shake of her head. "And then, we'll just have to wait and see."

As little as possible? Badru frowned. But she needed to eat, and drink! Clearly he was going to have to stay around longer, to help her with everything. He didn't want her getting hurt, because of something he'd done, even if it was because she'd ask! He'd definitely stay for as long as he was needed, as long as it made her happy. He smiled softly at the thought.
"Can...Can I stay with you, then?" he asked gently, not wanting to sound too pushy. He really wanted to help - it was his duty! "If you don't want to do much, I...I can hunt and stuff! I can catch rabbits for you! ...If it makes you happy, of course."

Ibilisi raised a brow. "Well yes, of course you can stay with me." She rolled her eyes, having thought that it would've been obvious that she needed him around. But then, Badru seemed oblivious to most things, so she didn't know why she was surprised.
Realising that she was pulling a face, she quickly tried to mask it with another forceful smile. "What I mean is, where would I be without you?" Saying that, her gaze again turned to her swollen belly. "No way I can go hunting in this state. The prey would just laugh at me and run away." She scowled. "Being pregnant is not fun." Again, she had to try and look positive, as negativity seemed to bother Badru. "Being with you is fun though Badru." Ugh, was this really all going to be worth it?

Badru was too busy beaming a smile, lost in his own happy thoughts, to notice the roll of her eyes, or the face she pulled. By the time he looked back at her with devotion, she was smiling - albeit a little strange. It looked like she was making herself, but that was probably the cubs making her face like again. Badru smiled to himself - he was so glad he'd managed to work that out! Otherwise he'd be confused all over again now! Where would she be without him? ...He wasn't exactly sure how to answer such a question, Badru not really understanding the topic of rhetorical questions. But he decided just to leave it, not wanting to confuse himself again.
"I'm sorry," he apologised, sad by the fact that being pregnant made her sad. His ears drooped a little, although he managed a small, almost shy smile at her compliment. "...Thank you, Ibilisi. Would you like anything right now?"

Ibilisi tutted, and again patted Badru on the head. "Don't worry about it." In a way, this was all good practice for when her cubs arrived. Not every problem could be solved with violence. Sometimes kind words were needed, even if they were more alien to her than the violence was.
When he asked her if she wanted anything, she thought for a moment before nodding. "A rabbit would be good actually. Will you go find me one?" In all honesty, she just wanted to get some rest, and she figured that this would be the best way of getting rid of Badru without hurting his feelings. "If I'm asleep when you get back, just quietly lay beside me and don't wake me, OK?"

At the pat Badru blinked, watching her blankly for several moments before his mouth split into the widest grin yet - ear-to-ear, practically. At her request of a rabbit, however, he quickly scrambled to his feet, saluting her with a paw as he practically sat there trembling with excitement. Oh, she was going to be so proud and happy when she saw how good he was at catching rabbits! His tail wagged like a dog's might, Badru practically bursting with excitement and glee.
"Okay okay okay! I'll catch you the biggest, bestest rabbit EVER! Oh oh oh wait, I'll catch you TWO!" he spoke, perhaps a little too quickly as he actually started bouncing on the spot, "I won't wake you, promise! I'll be super-quick, too! Watch!"
And with that, he went bounding off to catch a rabbit. Not the fastest nor the most graceful...but certainly the most enthusiastic.

The red lioness had never seen such enthusiasm, especially at being told what to do. Again a feeling of pity washed over her. Badru wasn't normal, and yet he was totally oblivious to it. She wondered if he had had a happy life, despite being oblivious to most of it. Not that she cared. Or did she? When she began to wonder that, all she saw was red. This stupid male was corrupting her with his sweetness, and it had to stop. As soon as the cubs were born, she would have to get rid of him.
"Thanks..." Ibilisi could only manage one word as she watched Badru happily run off. She then curled up in a tight ball and closed her eyes in an effort to quiet the storm that was building in her mind. Have cubs, get rid of Badru, take over the World. That's all there was to it.
