The pack had grown with the arrival of the Beta pairs' two offspring. Yasuo wished that he could share with their joy of their newborn pups but that joy was toned down by the fact that his own mate was still missing along with the Trinity. He wondered where they had gone to and why. By this point he had given up hope that they might make it back to the packlands. They probably were dead by this point. Yasuo gazed up at the almost full moon that hung in the sky. Several moons had passed and the ceremonies hadn't been made. He wondered if the Goddess was punishing him for allowing the blue femme into their sacred lands. Maybe that was their punishment instead of the flood waters that was supposed to happen. Either way, their punishment had been delt out to them and their numbers had dwindled down to ten, including the two new pups.
Yasuo stared at the sky for a few moments before realizing that he hadn't seen any of the other pack members in some time. At least not since the birth of the Beta pairs' pups. He figured now would be a good time for a pack meeting. He lifted his maw in the air and let out a long howl, indicating to the others that they needed to regroup near his den. He let the howl go on for a few seconds before he let it fade from his jaws. He shifted his body into a sitting position and waited for the first arrivals.
(ooc: not going to have my wolves come in at first. Going to see who comes first and then I am going to reply with my other wovles. Also, the pups don't need to come if their parents don't want them to.)

((I'm not certain if Remove wants me rping him before a birthing rp, but since you mentioned the pups were born, I'll throw in a short thing here. I can remove it if she needs me to.)) Tirin looked up as a howl shattered the night's silence and although he wanted to howl in reply, he looked to his parents first, tail wagging and eyes bright with excitement.
"That's a call for a meeting, isn't it, Dad? Are we going? Are we going to speak to the Goddess?"
In his short life Tirin had never been to a big pack meeting that he could remember, and he was eager to find out what it was like. It was something new for him to experience, and he didn't even have to get in trouble to find it! His parents talked to him about the Goddess often, explaining the legend of Cerridwyn and their pack. Tirin had never met the Goddess though, or had the chance to learn the prayers pups needed to. Well... maybe some of that was because he didn't sit still long enough to listen, but he still needed a chance to learn, right? He didn't see much of the rest of the pack either. Just him and Alya, and his parents. That wasn't so bad though. Knowing there was a pack that they belonged to was enough for him at this point. There was always plenty for a bored pup to do!

|~| Might take Dae a bit to reply here, but Leslie's in tow with this guy for those who follow after this post. |~| Funny things happen when paws are left to their own devices. They walk the mind's path, and lo to the one whose thoughts wandered, driving their limbs on a journey never consciously percieved. Food was ever at the back of Dover's mind as he and his crimson companion weaved their way through a forest. The forest, his mind wanted to say, but why? His countenanced was darkened with thought over this anomaly, more wary than normal of what he thought of; the encounter with the strange seer, an exprienced he did not tell Leslie about (and had no intention of ever doing), was putting him more on edge than he had been in a while.
Why, for instance, did he muse that this forest was familiar? The ground beneath him calling to his memory, the scents, the sights? He dug into the recesses of his mind, at length uttering a single word while his eyes narrowed:
"Sanctity." A single howl echoed to the pair barely a second after it was spoken.
Never did he think he would return to this place of religious loyalty. The Dover then was far more simple-minded, artless, and younger than the earthen figure standing now; two very different wolves, two very different lifestyles, both tying in some way to that single, lonely white maiden . . . And the image made his lips curl without meaning, bitterness tainting his level mood; Lewana was also not a subject spoken of to Leslie, certainly not something he doted upon anymore. And yet returning accidentally back to these lands brought back the raw feelings of betrayal nonetheless, brought back the guileless wolf that was sworn to never be touched by another as part of the Trinity. He had been a foolish, foolish male to even consider her as anything more back then.
It took some effort to smooth his muzzle back down when he addressed the adolescent. "Must be Yasuo or Orphen calling. Old pack of mine. Forest's called The Lunah Forest." Dover changed their direction slightly towards the sound, unsure of why he was bothering to answer the howl. How much of the pack was still there, he wondered idly, and had they changed at all since his last visit? Would they recognize him at all? Their strict policy on fur patterns was another thing he recalled, and without a word found himself pressing closer to Leslie; not that she was like that purple wolf called Laera or her brother, but who knew if they would enjoy spying holly markings. "Come. Might take ya in. Nice folks're here." It was hard enough to speak, let alone give such curt sentences.

((you can go ahead and RP him its fine <3))
Kalani looked down at his son and laughed, his daughter, Alya was running around in excitement as well though Kalani couldn't work out why. It was a meeting, which meant they talked about boring stuff and more often then not Kalani would start an argument about something he thought they should do. It wasn't all that interesting.
Twila chuckled at her son and shook her head.
"It's just a meeting, we sit around and talk though you and your sister can play why we adults do all the boring stuff." She spoke softly as she always did with her pups. She was a caring mother, sweet and gentle.
Kalani looked at the pups and then his mate and chuckled.
"Right come on then troops, can't keep the boss waiting!" He laughed again before nuzzling his mate and then licking her nose.
Alya was far from impressed with her parents kissing in front of her and let out an appropriate "ewwwwwwwww" she then looked to her brother and let out a laugh.
"Bet I can beat you to the meeting place!" She laughed again and started running off. They just had to follow the sound of the howl and it wasn't like their parents wouldn't be close behind.

(i am going to assume that they all have arrived where Yasuo is)
Yasuo waited patiently to see who will show up to the pack meeting. The first to arrive was, to his surprise, was Dover. He recognized the other male wolf but was even more surprised to see that he wasn't with his brother but with an adolescent she-wolf....with rather unusual markings. At least she wasn't blue like the last outsider to arrive here. But her green markings made Yasuo wince. He wondered if Dover might want this she-wolf to be accepted into the pack. Probably, he thought to himself. He made a note to give her the lowest rank mainly because of her un-natural colored pelt.
The next wolves to arrive were the Beta pair and their offspring. He smiled warmly at the two pups as they came bounding in before their parents. Though at the same time he felt a twinge of sadness. He wished that his own offspring were that age again. They were easier to handle back then. They also were together almost all the time, though, and he knew that Aether was sad that his brother, Dante, had left the pack.
He saw his son slink into the area out of the corner of his eye and he narrowed his eyes slightly. He wondered why Aether was slinking around like that. The rest of his family came out of the darkness on the opposite side of the small clearing than the Beta pair family. Hera gazed over at Twila before turning her attention to her half-brother. "It is good to see you, brother dearest." Yasuo nodded his head slightly and sat up slowly. "So, you still want to go through with it, Hera?" The she-wolf nodded her head and sat down next to her nephew, as if to confirm this. Yasuo nodded his head and began to address the pack. "It is good to see you all, even those of you who have wandered back into out midst." He bobbed his head in the direction of Dover and his companion. "It seems that the search for Ola, Lewana, and Orphen have turned up with little results. They haven't been seen in many moons so therefore I am going to consider them dead. Following this meeting our only Priestess that has bothered to show up with perform the Death Ceremony and then after that the Birth Ceremony to honor the birth of Kalani and Twila's offspring."
He paused for a few a few seconds before continuing on. "There have been a rank change that needs to be put in order. Hera has decided to step down as Beta female and give her rank to Twila. She feels that the Beta pair should stay like that-a pair, like with the Alpha pair." Another twinge of sadness tugged on his heart but he continued on. "Also, a new rank will be given out." He indicated Dover's companion. "I have a feeling you, Dover, would like this she-wolf to be under our protection, am I correct?" He tilted his head to one side. "In order for me to guarantee that she will have our protection she will have to accept the rank as our first, and hopefully only, Lefu." He didn't like saying that word. It felt dishonorable to the wolf receiving that rank but it had to be done. She just wasn't acceptable to be a normal rank within the pack. At least now he would guarantee that she would have protection within the pack until the Goddess felt it was time for her to be sacrificed, which he hoped was never. "Is there anything else that needs to be addressed?" Yasuo asked, leaning back slightly.
((wolves in attendance: Yasuo-Alpha (ice) Shio-Gamma (ice) Hera-Gamma (ice) Cassie-Priestess (ice) Tirin-pup (RC) Dover-Gamma (OJM) Leslie-Teru (Daeril-sama *not yet posted in meeting thread*) Kalani-Beta (remove) Alya (remove) Twila (remove) ))

|~| Actually, Leslie is owned by Daeril-sama who has yet to post, poor dear. And I wouldn't be so very quick to stick her into the pack banner, since Dae hasn't filled out a form per se, and Dover's got a few qualms about making his charge a lefu. ;D You may want to pm her. |~| Pale yellow eyes scanned the faces about him now, some bringing deja vu, others he had never seen before. The pups were dead-on Twila and Kalani's, he knew from just a glance, remembering how betas and alphas could breed. They certainly looked as though this was their first ceremony, all wide-eyed as if this were a blessing to be at. Dover snorted quietly.
Yasuo addressed him at length, and the lone wolf kept his head bent respectfully as he spoke - at least, until the verdict was given. For a moment, the mercenary froze, the word slipping out of his mouth like water. "Lefu?"
Without warning, anger began to bubble within the earthen wolf as well as disregard for whether Yasuo was the alpha or not. He lifted his head with evidence of a silent snarl. "You're still the same, aren't you. I saved this girl, Yasuo. Not about to let you have your paws on her as a sacrifice." The indignant notion stiffened his hackles, but he had to be careful; the whole pack could easily set upon them at a word. Dover didn't know much about their teachings and frankly didn't care; barbarians all the same.

EDIT: though I really wish Dae would have posted as her own wolf just to say that she is really indeed following Dover into the packlands so that I know that it was Dae owning Leslie and not you *which I totally bypassed in your post in the ad thread*)

Leslie hardly left the male’s side since their initial meeting, save for a few short occasions. And during this time together she was taught various things, picking up behavior and reactions she didn’t even realize she had been mimicking, but were no doubt crucial to her development and even at her age she was still in need of the male's instruction. Which was why she was at his heal today. Though Dover had intended on dropping the female off anywhere, with a lack of places to turn, it seemed only one destination came to mind. It seemed that the male had been hiding quite a few things from the younger female, as was normal, including his connections with the Sanctity pack. When the female had heard tale she grew interested, not knowing how else to respond, and in actuality felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of joining a fully formed pack. When was the last time she had been introduced to someone close to her age? Had she ever? Her memory failed her but that aside, the prospect of a new future here with Dover seemed bright and exciting.
She followed him in, noticing the various stares as she padded beside him, drawing closer when the particular scrutinizing gaze of who she assumed was the pack's alpha stuck to her, particularly flowing along her shoulders and across her spine. Leslie knew what he was looking at, and seeing that none of the wolves around her had any unnatural coloration the sensation of being prodded and judged started to flank her mind. Various times she heard Dover express a dislike toward the odd little markings but he had never been so brash as to bluntly state a particular objection.
Her assumption about the male had been correct. He addressed the group with a certain air of superiority, a dominance that could only be expressed from one of his position. She remained quiet -having not uttered a single word upon entering the territory- listening to his words; her attention focused even more so as he addressed Dover and her forwardly. The sudden swivel in his expression garnered her attention further. "Lefu," she repeated, not understanding the word. Puzzlement struck her and immediately she turned to Dover, not having to ask what that meant aloud. His reaction was dangerous, a sight she had seen only on a few occasions, and as her ears pulled back she knew the new position she had been labeled wasn't a spot she wanted to put herself in. Her body drew closer to the male, as if seeking protection, shifting uncomfortably.
And when Dover elaborated, addressing the alpha, her heart sunk. "What?" she voiced, her tone not at all polite and petite. Instead it was mingled with a slew of emotions, shock being the forerunner. Fear and anger slowly bubbled after, touching the edges of her thoughts as she attempted to understand her new situation. "Wait. Wait. Wait. What is a Lefu exactly? What is this about a sacrifice?" Her eyes focused on the alpha before turning to Dover who obviously his own type of furious. Though she knew any blame shouldn't be directed toward him, she couldn't help but feel threatened and ticked at the new revelation. Didn't Dover know about this? Would he lead her to a pack where her very life would be threatened? It didn't seem his personality, but at the moment she wouldn't accept any excuse.

Tirin let out a tiny yip of excitement at the confirmation from his parents and danced about in a circle, his tail held high. His nose wrinkled as his parents kissed, but he managed to keep from voicing the opinion aloud. Very adult of him, if he thought so himself. His tongue lolled out in a grin at Alya and he scampered after her, paws flying over the dirt under his feet as he tried to beat her out.
"Head start, no fair!" He called after her, panting as he gained and almost passed her before they ran into the meeting area. His parents would follow eventually, but even if they didn't he'd be fine as long as he was with Alya.
Yasuo was the only one present when they arrived, and Tirin stopped and tilted his head curiously. Where was everyone else? Oh, okay, there they were. He plunked himself down, but his tail was still wagging at a breakneck speed, showcasing his excitement. He leaned his head around and nipped at an itch before quickly looking back to make sure he hadn't missed anything. Who was that?
Tirin stared openly at the two wolves he didn't recognize-- not that he'd recognize just about anyone there, but these two he definitely didn't know from his parents descriptions of their pack. Tirin and Alya were the only pups though, so that girl... she wasn't one of them. Tirin leaned back slightly at the thought of a stranger. Had she run through a bush on her way here? In the darkness it looked like...
Is that her pelt? He leaned forward again with interest as he realized she had odd colorings on her pelt, not that she just didn't think to groom before showing up. Not that he could blame her. Grooming... ick.
He saw the adults in the circle get serious as the alpha began to speak and it calmed his over-flowing enthusiasm some. His mother was also a beta now? Tirin's tail wagged slightly and a smile came to his face. His parents were partners now, helping to lead their pack in the name of the Goddess. That was cool!
He looked at Alya to say something about it, but Yasuo kept speaking and Tirin's head jerked back to his alpha as Dover reacted badly to whatever the alpha had said about the stranger-girl. What did he say? Tirin had missed it!
A sacrifice? Tirin thought as the girl also asked what was going on. His parents hadn't mentioned that before. What does that mean? He turned his head up and back, to ask his parents, but the expression on his father's face made him decide not to ask just yet. Without noticing he was doing it, Tirin's tail drooped and his shoulders hunched up as if he were in trouble. What was going on was bigger than he was right now, and although he wanted to smooth the situation out, he needed to stay quiet, like good pups were supposed to.

Alya happily ran with her brother and came to a halt facing Yasuo with a stupid smile on her face before she turned to lay next to her brother. She heard her parents arrive not long after and then the other two arrived. She didn't know them either and tilted her head slightly in curiosity.
Kalani and Twila arrived not long after the pups, Twila taking her place sitting behind the pups so that she could keep a good eye on them and Kalani stood next to her. He would have sat down until Dover arrived with the female and without him realising his hackles were raised.
"Dover why did you return. You know what the pack believes." He snarled at the male. He had a strong dislike for the male anyway and was sure he was the reason they lost Lewana.
"You know that anything unnatural is cursed, have you not realised the damage that blue femme did to the pack - our numbers are low. You were part of the pack and you knew the teachings and beliefs, you even spent much time with our maiden before she suddenly disappeared. Don't act naive Dover, I was there when you were taught everything." He was snarling as he spoke. He cared very little if the female stayed or not, but he was the Beta now and so had no issues talking like this in front of the alpha.
Twila moved closer to her mate, leaning on him slightly to help calm him while making sure her pups didn't react badly to their fathers sudden change in behaviour. She understood her mate and knew why he disliked the male but that wasn't about to stop her from calming him. She didn't want him to do anything rash or stupid.

Aaah, and there it was at last: that annoying growl from that unfortunately familiar gray blob with limbs. "Why'd I return?" Dover repeated, the pretense of keeping himself collected starting to falter. "I came back thinkin' that you'd swallow a bit of that religious nonsense for the sake of an old member in need is why I returned!" He began to take on a more protective stance, remembering Leslie's presence only as a directional tool of where to place his paw before, to put himself as a shield - yellow eyes burning into Kalani's green. "The fact that you'd only give her a safe place until your little goddess gets pissy is ridiculous. I swallowed your teachings down only because L-"
And then he had to pause for a moment when the rest of Kalani's words finalyl made it through his skull. Lewana was missing? Worse was the gray beta's insinuation - or at least the one Dover read it as. "You think just 'cuz some blue gal ran through here once meant your maiden went poof?" he picked back up, scoffing derisively. "Maybe she finally got it into her head how prejudiced this place it and took off herself. But you know what, Kalani? I must've picked back up some've the old stupid I had if I'm back here thinkin' like I am. So if you'll 'scuse us . . ." He began to turn, in the process prodding Leslie forward ahead of him and away from the group. There was no point in staying to argue now, knowing that the Sanctity Pack was still as stuck to their beliefs as ever.
Pups! he thought. They're raisin' pups with that load of crap!

Kalani snarled and took a step forward towards Dover.
"Go and take that thing with you. You believed this and not because you liked Lewana... you believed it before you met her so don't throw such rubbish at me. If you do not wish to respect us there is no point you staying here."
He moved in front of his pups, he knew the pups would grow believing what was right and why there was such a change in Dover he would never know. It seemed some things just happened. He didn't care though at least with them leaving the meeting could actually happen peacefully.

The maroon female stared back and forth between who she had been assured was the alpha, and Dover, listening to their argument through funnel ears. Her intent on comprehending the situation had increased with the idea of her life on the line, and as she heard the alpha's statement and Dover's retort she couldn't help but feel her blood boil. Fear, though present in her vibrating body, wasn't thrown as a large percentage into the equation; instead, a mixture of emotions flooded her as she stood there. Disappointment certainly filled the young wolf as she had though she would have been accepted into a pack, had found a new home and a new life, but with that idea ripped away with the blunt fact they wanted to sacrifice her to some ridiculous God she didn't believe in, she now had to face an even stranger emotion of distain and contempt. How could they dislike her for her pelt alone? She hardly uttered a word since stepping foot onto their grounds and they were so willing to kill her just to appease some prejudicial idea? The thought was crazy. The idea ludicrous.
She shook her head, glaring now at the alpha, though the look hardly threatening with her body still quaking. With Dover's prod she started off, eager to get away. She wanted to say something, wanting to spout something off to the larger male who was ruling this pack, but couldn't bring the words forward, she couldn't manage even a simple "You're wrong" and instead stepped after Dover with her head low and eyes forward. Just a moment before she had felt a twinge of betrayal from the male, and now looked at him as a savior once more.

Tirin whined softly as his father snapped at the other wolf, a male he'd never seen before but who had brought that female to the pack. Tirin wasn't sure what was going on but he didn't like how angry everyone was getting, and he liked it even less since he didn't understand what was going on. Had the female done something bad?
What the other male had to say seemed even more important, talking about things Tirin hadn't heard about before. His young mind absorbed the names and accusations, and although most of them were over his head he committed them to memory anyway to ask Ma about later. A familiar title came up: Lewana, maiden. The Maiden? Dad said the Maiden was one of the trio who represented the goddess. He hadn't said she was missing, did she go on a trip? Was she kidnapped? Tirin lifted his pale green eyes up to his father's angry face, then whined softly again and looked at his mother. She wasn't saying anything... Why wasn't she saying anything?
The little male backed up slightly, bumping into his sister, his tail low as the adults argued. This wasn't a place he could step in to make his dad feel better, but Tirin felt the need to. Something though, something warned him not to get involved yet, and as the brown male-- Dover, he thought to himself in a whisper, committing it to memory-- turned and began pushing the odd female away from the group Kalani barked out angry words again. Despite his father's anger, it looked to Tirin like the male was pushing the female away in a protective gesture. Besides, she was a girl, that was obvious, not a thing. Couldn't Dad see that?
Tirin leaned forward, ears still pinned back nervously. Didn't they want to be in the pack? Did Yasuo and Dad scare them away because of the the blue female or the Maiden being gone? Who was the blue female anyway?
Tirin looked up at his mother, ready to ask, when suddenly Kalani's legs were in Tirin's line of vision and the pup jerked his head back, startled at the sudden protective move. He leaned to the side, around the obstruction in his vision, to watch the female begin walking away on her own.
Sad. Submissive. Tirin whined again and pressed against his sister, eyes nervous. He didn't want his parents to be angry. Tirin had seen his father mad before, but not like this. Dad and Ma didn't fight like that ever. He had to do something! Tirin stood and walked forward a few paces, pressing against his father's leg and trying to do what he'd seen his mother do, silently telling his father not to be mad anymore.

(sorry about the delay)
Yasuo sighed loudly. Dover had been a part of the pack and he knew the laws of it. Why couldn't he understand that non-natural colored wolves didn't have a place here? He was going to give this she-wolf a chance by letting her stay in the pack but as a Lefu. He shook his head as he listened to the two males argue about it.
Yasuo watched Dover and his she-wolf friend leave. He didn't even try to stop them. He knew that Dover wouldn't listen to him, not matter how much he tried to preach the Goddess' ways to him. For a few tense minutes after the duo had left, Yasuo remained quiet. There was too much tension in the air for him to say anything else now.
"Let's let bygones be bygones. I am sure that Dover's friend wouldn't have been happy here anyways." He leaned back slightly and gazed up at the sky. "Though we are in desperate need of members. Kalani, I entrust you to go out and find new wolves who will help build our pack stronger. I cannot leave. This pack cannot lose another Ira." He bowed his head down low. "We also need to perform a death ceremony. It has been over six moons since my mate and two of the Trinity have left us and there is no hide or hair of them since they disappeared. I can be safe to assume that they are dead. Let the Goddess guide their spirits onto the afterlife." He gazed over at the two pups and tilted his head to one side. Hera smiled slightly at her half-brother. "Let them join in, Yas," she said to him. "It will strengthen their bond with our Goddess." Yasuo nodded his head. "Yes, you are right. Shall we?" He slowly stood up and began to make his way towards the Sacred Pool where Cassie would perform the Death Ceremony. Cassie, Shioreru, and Hera followed after him, their tails and heads held down low.
