Personality: A witch from an all-Muggle family, Lyra excels at many subjects, especially Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Although she is known to hex Slytherin passerby, she is a diligent student who is well respected by her peers. Those who know her will tell you of her stoic personality. Lyra is a serious, straightforward student who will always go out of her way to help a friend. Although she may seem insensitive at times, there are depths to her emotions that only her closest friends know of. She is also a skilled chaser on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and owns a Arctic Wolf named Rivalz. Her patronus takes takes the form of a small Chinese dragon.
History: Comes from an all-Muggle family except for her parents and two of her three brothers, who are both wizards and officials at the Department of Ministries. Lyra first discovered that she was a witch during an argument with her Muggle brother, causing his ears to expand three times their normal size. Due to her witnessing her uncle's death in a car crash, she is able to see thestrals, and visits them often. She is a half-Dutch.

How You Became an Animagus: Lyra was able to become an animagus through her brothers' ministry connections. She believes that more witches and wizards becoming animagi will improve the treatment of magical creatures, part human creatures, and their feuds with wizardkind.
Detailed description: Change is initiated by thought, transforms into a large lion creature with pointed ears, a lion face, a wolf-like torso, and a long, thin tail. Although she is incapable of speaking in this form, she can communicate with people she knows well through telepathy.
