I saw a thing about this this morning on MTV news

these girls are complaining that their boyfriends spend more time with Samus than they do with them

boo hoo

how can you get jealous over a video games?

shoot, and half my friends were like "well if my boyfriend was ignoring me for video games I'd be mad"

I wouldn't....does that make me strange?

I would only get mad if he wouldn't let me play ><

Thought and opinions?

It's the link to the MTV news article on it. I couldn't believe it. I wrote a whole rant in my online journal about how they didn't portray girl gamers at all and made it seem like gaming was the most horrible thing a guy could do.

Hell, my pre-reqs for any relationship is that my partnet MUST game. *gouges out MTV's eyes*

scream Damn them and their sexist-ness!! I have no problem with a boyfriend who games a lot. I'd only get mad if he insulted me by saying I couldn't play cause I'm a girl >.< *grumblegrumblerantrant*

My bf is really good about letting me have my game time. If Im on WoW he'll go play Castlevania, or my GBAsp to keep himself busy.

Girlfriends Against Video Games?!?!?!? gonk *cries* sounds like something my ex would start up and/or join *sigh* she used to get mad at me when I go on warcraft for atleast 4 or 5 hours every day because as a guild leader for an online game I feel that if you want to keep your guildmates from leaving and have a good guild you have to put in some time and effort right? I mean I do everything I need to get done when I was with her I cooked, I cleaned, I spent my days with her and then at night from after dinner 6pm - 10pm I spent time making sure my guild doesn't fall apart.

I'm sorry but that topic was soooooo one sided:

First off it denied the exsistance of gamer chicks TOTALLY, and made is sound like the only reason women play games were to please there boyfirends other wise they'd never even think to do somethign sooooo revolting? WTF! seriousely get real

Second they treat it like an epidemic that only affects guys and once it starts there's no helping it and you can't save him you just gotta let him die? that's cold.

At the beginning they say oh yah there maybe relationships where both parteners are gamers ((but we haven't nor do we care to find any)). As a representative of the opposite sex I want to say that entire article was sheer propaganda at it's core

I would love to have a gamer boyfriend. Then I would have a gaming buddy. Sure, I have my brother, but I almost always stomp his a** at Darkstalkers. I need some competition, man! mad

and my last bf didn't even like gaming. So I could never play a game with him because he would be afraid he'd lose stare and he didn't like them. so in my case it was the other way around. sweatdrop

I wouldn't mind if I had a boyfriend who played a lot videogames, in fact, I'd love it and we could game together . But he has to give me attention too. xd

But saying they shouldn't game at all goes far. If a girl thinks her bf shouldn't play videogames, then she shouldn't go shopping perhaps? twisted

everyone has their right to do their hobbies wether to be single or not. Wether it to be gaming or not. Why is gaming so much frowned upon, but things like shopping not?

Hell, no, I wouldn't be upset! xd I'd either be watching raptly to learn new tricks on the game, or playing with him! Those girls that were complaining... let me guess... they were of the "perfect hair and pink clothes" variety, yes? (just kidding, I know some of those girls are gamers, too. Some.)
