that the Time War was orchestrated by the Master to gain control of the Citadel to start the New Gallifreyan Empire?

Maybe...but since Gallifrey ended up completely wiped out, that kinda blew up in his face.

They said he ran away, but the lack of details makes you wonder why he ran away

I guess we are meant to assume that the Dalek army was so huge, and victory seemed so impossible that the Master just fled and even made himself human, and he hated humans I think. I guess the Time Lords must have been losing, which was why the doctor did what he did.

Which kinda blew up in his face, since the Daleks are/were still running amok and have featured in all but one season finale since the new series started.

I have a theory that the Master was on the other side

1. If the Daleks destroyed the Timelords, no one could stop him

2. Timelords are sterile, which means that the only way to make more was genetic engineering. There would be a record which he could use to create everyone again, with a few adjustments as to obey him.

3. He could then conquer the universe, putting the Timelords in as governors, due to their wisdom, and possibly control the Daleks to be used as riot control if any one people decided to start a revolution.

Of course, something happened that prevented him from going to phase 2, and he ran away

I don't think that could happen because the Time War Daleks don't make alliances with other species' like the Cybermen*, and this Time Lord thing must only be mentioned in a book or radio play or something cos I've never hear of it.

*yes I know they made an alliance with the Master before, but the Time War daleks must be different because they hated the Cybermen...

Although it is a Good Theory The only problem is with the fact that If the Master made a deal with them they would Just Kill Him after he helped them Win the Time War. Because you can't Trust Daleks.

The new series cybermen weren't because they didn't exist yet, but the old series ones might have. After all they did seem to become extinct since then...

Is it possible that the Doctor had to either destroy his home or watch the rest of the Universe die at the hand of the Daleks
PostPosted: Sat Sep 26, 2009 10:18 am

For the theory I personally believe (no I didn't come up with it, it just makes sense...)

1.) go to Youtube.

2.) Look up 'The Time War is a Sham'.

3.) Watch.

Great video, make a LOT of sense, and nothing in the show has contradicted it.

Enjoy!
