So this is what it felt like to be on your own? Wide open areas, no one around to tell you what you should and shouldn't be doing, and no need to worry about what anyone else was doing around you! The blue and yellow colt threw his head back to laugh at such a free feeling, raising off his forelegs for but a moment before flaring his nostrils and gazing at the world around him. Sure, Aunt Viern wasn't too far away, but she was far enough to where the colt could feel like he was on his own. Heh, and who knew being free from his aunt's gaze would be as wonderous as this?

Now the only problem was, what to do? Loko wasn't around, unfortunately, so its not exactly like they could have an adventure together. Bruenor sighed. Augh, maybe this wasn't the best idea, but it still felt great to be 'on his own' for the duration that it lasted. With a flick of his short tail, the colt decided a nice romp around the valley sounded better than just standing around. "Alright, here we go!" he muttered in a mock 'grown stallion' sort of voice, that wound up sounding more boy'ish than anything. Eagerly the aeri colt set off into a sprint, preparing to double back for a high-spirited kick to the skies.

Hasani had wondered away from the herd for a while to allow hi daughter some practice at being it's protector. His long tail drug along behind him as he walked, wings flexing occasionally. They were so out of use, but Hasani rarely if ever flew. It was a nice enough day so he had no idea why he'd wondered off from the herd, maybe he just needed some alone time. He paused and flicked his ears back and forth when he heard another set of hoof beats. A younger Aeri might have instantly thought danger but he knew better, those hooves were to small to be anything dangerous.

With a flick of his tail he moved in the direction he heard the other nequus.

Upon spotting the feisty young colt he smiled, it was a sad smile for a moment. He hadn't gotten to so much of his children growing up, his job consumed to much time.

Hasani watched from the shadows for a moment before stepping out into view. "A little far from your parents aren't you?"

Oh man! Now that had been one awesome kick, although a bit too much the colt considered as he struggled to regain his balance and keep from falling over sideways. Sheesh, that would have been embarrasing if his aunt was around. He could just hear her giggle in his head. Heh, figures. Righting himself and pricking his ears, Bruenor studied the valley and the expanse of terrain around him. Ack, this would be much funner if his brother were here, maybe thed'y be able to play tag together, or sparring! Ha! Now that was fun! Although Vierna didn't really like it... probably because he had gotten hurt the first time. Oh well. At least he could be patient and try sparring when she wasn't around. That way she wouldn't worry about him.

A voice suddenly filled the air, or at least to the imaginitive colt it was sudden as he didn't hear the stallion's approach, and Bruenor reacted with a quick jump forward out of surprise. Upon glancing over his shoulder he noticed the larger blue stallion, and breathed a sigh of relief. Geez, for a moment there he was sure it was going to be some nasty crossbreed ready to ask for trouble. Heh, crosses, from what Bruenor had heard about them thus far, he didn't want to tangle with any of them. Let alone come face to face with something like that after startling him.

With a grin plastered onto his young face, the colt pranced forward. "Naw, my aunt Viern isn't too far off," he replied cheerfully, studying the taller stallion with curiousity. Where had he come from? He seemed friendly, so it was probably okay for Bruenor to talk to him. At least, that was the colt's mindset. Puffing out his chest slightly in a playful manner, the colt stopped a few yards away from the older nequus. "My name's Bruenor, may I ask your name as well?" His aunt had always said if you're polite to strangers, there was a good chance they'd be polite as well. Bruenor had taken that advice to heart.
