The band I'm in is a high step band, however, we do put in a little bit of stride here and there to be well rounded (or something like that). So, I'm curious to which does everyone prefer (visually, actually doing etc.) and why I guess. I kind of prefer high step, only because it's "tradition" and all that jazz.

My band marches traditional for pregame and corps style for halftime. Honestly, traditional is tiring after a while, and you're limited with designing drill since it doesn't flow as well. You're pretty much stuck doing sharp flanks and facing, and after a while it gets boring and monotonous. A high school band near me was traditional, and good was they were, their shows just weren't that fun to watch.
I prefer corps style, it's easier on my knees and it's generally easier to work with.

With the exception of "fun" shows for playoffs, my band always marches corps style. Toe roll is annoying but high-steppin' it is even more so IMO.

Roll step, all the way. I just dislike the way high marching looks, Not to mention I cant even imagine using it for guard.

roll step biggrin it takes the shock out of the sound and is way easier when taking big steps...

it depends on our show. we usually do roll step, but if we have an intense part that doesn't look cool with a half-time march, we usually do a high step.
