Laazizi was tired, she had spent days just wandering in random directions searching- searching for anything. Or anyone for that matter, she hated travelling alone and would like some sort of companion- even if it was prey beast. Her red eyes were weary and completely graceless she flopped to the ground, a puff of grass pollen and loose dirt surrounding her. Why am I so alone?”

Not too far away an adolescent leopard was thinking the same thing, she was roaming the Savannah, looking for food and water. She tried to remember where she was supposed to be headed but she couldn’t quite place a paw on it. It had something to do with a place to sleep, or at least she thought it did. She was so immersed in trying to remember her thoughts that she tripped over a black and blue furry mound. ”Oof!” She tumbled landing on her side.

”Ow!” Zi winced as she was tripped over and after she caught her breath she lifted her head and looked over at the animal that had tripped over her. It was a black and red leopard that didn’t look much older than she was. ”Are you okay?” She was too tired to go over and check on the leopardess, her paws throbbing with the strain of walking for days.

The panda marked leopard sat up once she had orientated herself, and looked back at what she had tripped over. It appeared to be a lioness, black with white and blue spots and about the same age she was. Noi gave herself a shake, ears and tail twitching. ”Oh yeah, I’m fine” She smiled and then realized she probably hurt the lioness when she tripped over her. ”What about you? Are you okay? I’m terribly sorry for tripping over you.”

Laazizi smiled relieved that the leopardess was okay, she would’ve felt horrible if the other got hurt because of her! Hearing her question she perked her ears, and nodded with a smile on her face. ”I’m fine, really. And it’s alright, I’m kind’ve hard to see lying here in the grass.” She tilted her head to the side slightly and then realized she hadn’t introduced herself. ”Oh! I’m Laazizi, what’s your name?” Her tail flipped and flopped against the ground as she laid there. ”I’d get up and greet you but I’m completely exhausted from traveling for days.” She smiled a bit sheepishly looking at the other girl.

Noi chuckled at her worry, not many worried about her. She was on her own mostly and had been ever since her parents had left her behind. If she could’ve remembered that far back she would have known that they had forgotten her one day. They left to go hunting and just never came back. Noi wasn’t too upset over it- it helped that she couldn’t remember it much. ”Oh, don’t worry about me, I’m fine honestly. I take tumbles all the time. And it was my fault, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She smiled at the introduction. ”I’m Noidee’a, nice to meet you!” Hearing about her days of traveling the leopardess frowned and made her way over so she was sitting next to the lioness. Leaning down she bumped heads with Zi, so they could greet properly. From an outsider’s perspective it probably looked very odd, but it seemed both were kind hearted individuals and got on fine. ”Thanks,” The lioness spoke first and Noi just smiled. ”You’re welcome, so why are you traveling?”

Zizi smiled returning the head butt, it was nice to have someone to interact with after being alone so long. ”Well, I have a bad case of wanderlust, or so it seems. I just don’t feel settled no matter where I go, so I’m searching for a place to call home.” She shrugged slightly and then rolled over onto her side, staring up at the red and black leopardess with a red eye.

Noi listened quietly and then nodded. ”I’m in much of the same situation as well. All I ever remember is travelling, but then I don’t remember much.” She chuckled and shrugged a bit, settling into a laying position next to the lioness. ”I think I’m looking for a pride to join or maybe to start a family some day. I think a family would be nice, that way I’m not alone all the time. I don’t enjoy being alone.” She frowned a bit thinking about how she’d been alone most of her life.

The lioness nodded, she knew how being alone felt and she didn’t like it either. ”We’re very similar you and I, I think I’d like joining a pride, being around other animals all the time. It sounds very pleasant. I hate being by myself too, it’s not very much fun.” She shrugged slightly and then yawned. She was getting tired after her long walk, but didn’t want to fall asleep on her guest.

The leopardess had to agree, a pride would be nice, surrounded by animals that were like an extended family. It sounded almost too good to be true. ”I know what you mean, a pride does sound very nice. I’m not sure how many prides take leopards though.” She frowned a bit at this thought, she knew that some lions had problems with other species of animals- she’d had run ins with some of them. She found the idea odd, disliking someone just because they weren’t like you, but then she couldn’t grasp at complex subjects, only simple ones.

Zi frowned gaze looking up at Noi, ”Oh, I’m sure there’s some out there. And the ones that don’t take leopards aren’t any good anyway.” She smiled a bit and then stifled another yawn, she just couldn’t help it.

Noi smiled about to thank the lioness, but then she noticed the yawns. ”Are you tired? I can go…”

Laazizi blinked and then smiled sheepishly. ”A bit, but you don’t have to go. Actually if you didn’t mind, it’d be nice if you maybe stayed around for a bit?”

Noi smiled softly and then settled in, ”Sure, I can stay for a bit.”

The lioness smiled and lowered her head closing her eyes and quickly drifting to sleep.
