lol, I have many questions..
What is the difference between 이/가 and 은/는?

I heart questions =D
well..there is no difference. They are sort of like a/an.
이 mostly comes after words that have coaster (such as 사랑, 한국, 책, etc)
가 is used after any words that do not have coaster.
은 is similar to 이. 는 is similar to 가.

I believe 이/가 and 은/는 are the same... Except that 은/는 can be used for metaphor. 이/가 cannot be used as metaphor like sentences.
For example,
Life is a box of chocolate.
삶은 초콜렛 상자이다. 삶이 초콜렛 상자이다.
Simply put, if u use 이/은, the verb cannot be "Be : am/is/are".

Ispin Corea and I realized just now that this answer may not be what u want sweatdrop ..... I believe 이/가 and 은/는 are the same... Except that 은/는 can be used for metaphor. 이/가 cannot be used as metaphor like sentences. For example, Life is a box of chocolate. 삶 은 초콜렛 상자이다. 삶 이 초콜렛 상자이다. It's helpful if you know Japanese when it comes to understand eun/neun and i/ga...
i/ga is similar to ga in Japanese.
eun/neun is similar to wa in Japanese.
Ga in japanese puts stress on what is before it, making it the subject of the sentence.
Wa in Japanese puts stress on what comes after it, making it the topic.
I got told it's the same in korean! smile
