He'd really settled into life in this pride, but he still had a lot of questions about his position as Ghost. Who better to ask than his aunt? That's where he was headed right now. Making his way down the path between the sister's dens, Caide found himself thinking hard about everything. First he'd joined another Mist pride, but this one... it felt different. A lot different. He hardly remembered the first pride.
His mother and her sister, Muscail and Codail, wanted to stay close after being apart for so long. So far, Caide kept to himself; he wasn't very sociable when it came to his family. He knew little to nothing about his aunt and her family other than that he looked a lot like her. He'd met her before, yes, but he didn't say anything to her. His mother had done all the talking. Soon, though, Caide would have to preform duties for his pride.
"Aunt Muscial, you there?" He called from the den entrance. Hopefully she was there instead of having to go look for her. He'd grown into a very lazy boy, but was still curious about everything around hi. Caide finally knew when enough was enough; after one to many arguments and fights when asking inappropriate questions.

Múscail had to admit, it was somewhat surprising just how easily everyone had settled into their new pride. Of course, their move from the Mistweavers to this new land hadn't been easy. But they hadn't been alone... Many of the old Mistweavers had begun the journey, and the sisters joined them along with their rather large troupe of cubs. And then, along the way, a miracle of sorts had occurred.
First Tama had returned to Múscail's side. And she'd been so happy to see him, even Ia'eh had brightened at the return of the pale lion. It was like the family was finally complete. But she knew now that it hadn't been... Not without young Dagda. It had been a night filled with celebration when Múscail had found him on her hunt. A fellow survivor of the Draíocht Coileán, Codail's young knight all grown up. And then they had arrived in their new home... And the Mizuka'nyevu had been formed.
For the longest time, Múscail had thought it was a dream. At long last the sisters had found their happy ending, or at least the beginning of it. And now, Codail's litter and Múscail's first were practically grown up. It was almost bittersweet, but the pale lioness was happy. Soon, she and Tama would have cubs of their own. She could feel it...
And then she heard Caide's voice, and with a soft laugh, she stood and stepped out of the den she shared with Tama. Her dear curious nephew no doubt had a handful of questions for his aunt...
"Yes, Caide. I'm here. What is it you need?"

Indeed the young lion had a barrage of questions for her, but first thing was first. When she moved into view, he walked over to her and nuzzled against her neck, now that he could reach it easily. He was growing up to be a big guy like his father was. To the boy, it wasn't an easy thing to accept. He'd never met his father, he wasn't sure if he ever would. His mother refused to say anything about meeting him, but told him plenty.
Pulling away from her, he sat down on his haunches and gave a sheepish grin. "Sorry if I disturbed anyone," he said, knowing he probably had. Not that he honestly cared. "But I got some pride questions and I thought you'd know a bit more than I do. Mom's off doing who knows what right now," he muttered almost bitterly. He loved his mother, she was his hero. He just...w anted to see more of her.
"Ok, so I'm a Ghost, right? I go out and watch to make sure we're not being threatened, I got that. But if I do sense a threat. .....then what? How do I scare them away without fighting them?" That's the part he had trouble with. The physiological part of being a Ghost. His scare tactics were very under developed.

Múscail smiled at the affectionate nuzzle, and quickly returned the gesture, although she couldn't help but playfully ruffle the young lion's quickly growing mane. It wouldn't be much longer that he would be fully grown, and no doubt he'd catch the eyes of many of the young lionesses. But thoughts like those could wait for later...
"Your mother is a Shepherd, Caide. She's probably helping to care for the younger cubs. We all have our place in the pride," she said softly, smiling at the slight tinge of jealousy she noticed. Caide had always been close to her sister, and as a cub he was rarely able to be pulled from her side... She could only imagine how hard it was for him to see his mother caring for the other cubs of the pride. But at his question, her expression sombered.
"You need to make them believe there is something worth avoiding in the lands. Some of the Eidolon might be willing to help you with their illusions... But you don't want to rely on them too heavily," Múscail began, looking up to the stars with a small smile before turning back to Caide. "You must learn your own tactics. But I can give you ideas. Whisper dark things to them from the mists. Make them believe there is some kind of dark spirit hidden in the mists that will harm them if they don't leave. Or perhaps you could play the devil's advocate. Get inside their mind... Play on their own fears if you can discover any..."

All of those were very good ideas, all that he took into account. While getting his mind to try to formulate his own style, he was also still lingering over his mother raising other cubs. He was her cub, still, why did she have to care for others? His mother's voice tickled the back of his head: You'll know when you have your own, little Caide... Of course Caide knew it to be true. Still.
He frowned and huffed, drooping his head a little in his own pessimistic thoughts. He hadn't talked to anyone in the pride that wasn't family before, could he start now that he was nearly an adult?
He looked up to his aunt and frowned a bit more, looking at her pretty jewelry. Where she got it, he didn't know. What it symbolized was beyond him as well; and he'd never pry into her life like that. The last time he did that to someone, he ended up getting scratched in the face and tackled into a tree by some random juve lion out in the Rougelands before they came to this pride.
"Maybe if I go out with an experienced Ghost..." He thought out loud, looking up at the sky as well. He had a strong connection to the stars, like his mother and aunt seemed to; it was a good feeling. ".....What about Ia'eh? What is she in this pride?" Ia'eh was one of the cousins he liked to actually spend time with, when he didn't want to be alone; even if they did bicker all the time.

Of course, had Caide asked about her jewelry, Múscail would have been more than happy to share the story behind it. But he didn't, and she had no way of knowing it was on his mind. The question about his cousin made the lioness smile. Her beloved daughter... She was growing as well...
"She's taken the same rank as you, Caide. She wants to keep her brothers safe, so she took it upon herself to make sure only those with pure intentions were let into the pride. Although she is only a little more experienced then you, perhaps you two could go out on patrol together some day. I'm sure you'll both find your own style if you're working together," she said lightly, her eyes glittering mischievously.

"I should have known she'd take Ghost," he said with a bigger smile on his face. The thought of having a new Ghost going with him wasn't as intimidating as having an older, more experienced Ghost. "She's probably going to gripe at me the whole time." That was said with more affection than anything else.
"I remember my first meeting with her; she didn't know who I was. And thought I was going to hurt her siblings. We got into a big fight and then my momma and you walked up. She was embarrassed, I bet." A hearty laugh left him as he remembered. She'd gotten the better of him in that fight. In all honesty, he wanted to get even with her; have another wrestling match. Maybe when they weren't on patrol.
"Is she awake?"
