So. I love grunge. I already know the best of grunge; Soundgarden Alice in Chains Pearl Jam Bush Stone Temple Pilots Mudhoney Mother Lovebone
And I know the worst of grunge; Nirvana
Any other bands a grunger could look for?
And, if you like grunge, check out Loose Grounge. An up-and-coming band. Their craps on itunes.

Nirvana wasn't really all that bad Its just the hype and the shotgun that followed that killed them. I mean ********; Scentless Apprentice and Blew are some of my favorite songs to actually hear other bands preform live.

Hect You consider Pearl Jam good, and Nirvana bad? Am I missing something here? remember man! If its popular its bad lolz 1110101010 yeah I think OP is a little closeminded when it comes to understanding what is actually decent in this shithole of a genre Blind Melon makes me rage. It was ******** alternative-light for those whose cant take the br00tality of MudHoney or early Nirvana. I never concidered them "Grunge". They just happened to be around when flannel and long dirty hair was popular and got grouped into that s**t.

Growing up where I did, I didn't get much. My cousin, who was far more privileged than I, brought over Bleach one day and I fell in love with it! I can still remember the first album I ever bought and owned was Nirvana's Nevermind. Say what you will about it, but I still love that album. It takes me back to a time where s**t wasn't so complicated. And I can still remember hearing about Kurt's Death. I was only, s**t... 7 at the time. but it hit me pretty hard. But Soundgarden, Alice and Chains, and Green River were some other Grunge bands that I really got into.

I really only like Bleach and bits of In Utero I've wanted to learn how to play Green Rivers "Unwind" for years now But I can never sit down long enough with the album and write out the notes. Speaking of abuse of the word Grunge I attended a "Grunge/Alternative 90's" Guitar styleing class a few months ago for the lulz and I chuckled many a good time at some of the blant supidity that was in there. Soo many little wankster scene kids think Nickleback is Grunge.

What the ******** far beyond wrong... *Shakes off stupidity*
Man, Unwind is a pretty fun song to play. So is New God and One More Stitch. They're very simple, but that's the fun of it! And I really dig the sound.
I've been going so far away from grunge for a long time now.. Learning Testament, King Diamond, Etc... It's nice to get away from the crazy s**t for awhile and sit down with my roots, you know? I grew up on a heavy mixture of odd s**t. but Grunge is the first thing I personally chose to listen to and love.

Yeah they actually kicked me ot of the class when I snapped at some poser weeboo kid who started busting my musical chops(He was all like "It takes not skill to Play Sonic Youth bro, you must suck") becuase I was complaining that we weren't playing any Sonic Youth. I could actually get away with Unwind down here in the deep south; It sounds like bar music at first and then BAM! "An Open Mind!, Is an Empty Mind!!" ; People sitting in barstools are throwing beers at the bartender and old mother ******** at tables are fistfighting, while the new Jack-the Ripper is outside gutting every mother ******** that runs outside because there too p***y to get into the moshpit thats now acting like the gang-fight scene from "Beat It.". Oh god I can only imagine, everyones to old and crippled down here to do any of that s**t.... I wouldn't mind actually seeing Grunge get a comeback but, honestlty not right now... too many scenesters and hipsters... it'd die before it ever got off the ground again.

And I agree, It'd die before it was even resurrected. Where are you at in the "Deep South", might I ask? I just left from Southern Texas not too long ago. Just arrived in San Diego about two hours ago. smile
