First, I am sorry about your baby. Though it has been over a month, you should still report it; you don't need a definite name. Describe what he looked like to the best of your abilities at the least. Guess at height, weight, how old he looked if you saw his face, etc. At least if they have the complaint on file and a brief description, then if another complaint comes around and a description is similar, then they can guess it is the same person, and they they could probably take a lead or something, but I don't know how they do it, since I am not a cop : /

Agreed, you can still go to the police and tell them what happened. You can give whatever information you have and they'll put it on file... it's always possible someone else was attacked and raped and there's something in your case that relates to theirs.
And if you don't want to go alone, you can take a parent or a close friend or a trusted adult with you.
If you need any information, feel free to ask.

I'm not sure about the legalities of how it works down there (I live up in Canada)... you could check with your local police or authorities and ask what the procedure would be. Maybe they'd make a note in your state, but open the investigation in TX, or work together with TX... unless you can find that information online, you probably won't know until you ask them. whee
