Welcome everyone ^^
Well for the Summer Competition of the Arts, all you have to do is submit poems, stories, artwork, or lyrics that you have written yourselves. And the theme is summer or a sweet memory that you have of or in summer. ^^
You may post as many as you want, just be sure to title one as your official entry. ^^
Thank you for your time, and I hope to see many entries in this event ^^

Summer's Memory To hold a memory, you hold a story.
A poem, a thought, your memories.
They are like the ocean waves on a sunny day. They flow to and from your mind. You may remember those wondrous days like you hold a baby bird, ever so soft and fragile until they go away.
Some memories are like dreams. Some you may remember and others you wake up missing the soft murmur that you believed in.
Memories are like falling leaves. They fly and fall and then they sweep away. Sometimes if they are not careful those leaves are crushed and the memories, they fade away.
Be careful because memories, they may or may not stay. Hold them deep within your heart and keep them, don't let 'em stray far.
Should you forget those memories, don't fret because they shall always remain. Deep within your souless sleep, even when you decay.
Those memories are still with you. They may not be remembered, but they are kept.
Memories are like Summer. It often leaves for another, but it always returns in the end. No wonders can forget such magnifcence that often leave you puzzled. To believe they shall return, is a dream to be waiting for. A Summer. YES a summer, that should never fade away.

Summer time
School's out! everybody runs, no more work to do.
teachers fly out of their rooms and no more grading to be done.
Parents,uncles,sons,and aunts, they run and play all day long.
No more things to worry about, just all fun and games.
Unless you decide on summer work, then that's just up to do.
Time for the beaches and Santa Cruz! It's boardwalk time!
Ride the coasters and the waves or chill out on the sand,
No more fretting until next time, just let it all stand.
Just wait until you go around and maybe meet some guy/gal
that you would like to get together, it's time for being loud.
No more sitting in a desk and pretending to be sound,
working on a thing that maybe is not your best around.
Could have flunked and gotten summer school,
or ended up in a camp.
No matter no how, it's time to play cause summer's finally 'round!
P.S. this is not my entry, its the one above this thats in. This was for fun, i winged it lol
