Kimbilio knew that he should at least say hi. She had always been quite nice to him, lost as he was when he was younger. He still didn't know what to do with himself. He had thought about settling down, but as soon as he approached it, it frightened him. What if he screwed up? Would something happen that resulted because he was there? And so he wandered again, thinking about what he would do. Why not start with a bit of the past?
The only problem was...there were so many lions, and he didn't know how to ask where to look for Ariza. Plus...he was still pretty shy, and he would admit it.
So he plopped right down where he was, debating on what to do next.

With the festivals on the way and so much happening she was for once finding herself not dwelling too much on the 'what if's' in her life. She had finally decided that she loved where they had come, this place, this pride, everything about it was the home that she knew her mother and father had always looked for. And she'd come to love it too. She had made a few friends that weren't her siblings and she had, in a way, started to come to terms with Kivuli being gone.
Some times she did take a bit of time to herself to think about the past. It was one of those times that found her away from everyone else where she could relax. Life had been simpler when she was younger. Just running around and playing with her brothers .... and with Kimbillio. She smiled at the thought and wondered what he had been up to.
"Probably helping others ... " She laughed softly to herself. In a way she wondered if somehow he had helped her family without knowing it.

Kimbi sulked. Ugh, what was he supposed to do now? He looked around a bit. There were a couple forms of lions wandering around. Usual, since there were a fair number that lived within the pride's borders. But...just the idea of walking up to one like everything was dandy just seemed weird. Strangers!
"Baaah." He wanted to bop himself for worrying so much. He wondered where he had inherited that idea, since his mother never seemed too shy to say hello to anyone.
He propped himself up on his toes, stretching out his wings before deciding that the air might be the best bet. A little awkward, being so exposed like that, but it would probably work best.

Finding a nice patch of soft grass and a bit of shade she shook herself out before sitting down. Without distractions she could try to call up images of her childhood. It was good now that the image of her father she used to have, slightly grumpy, seemed to have changed in their time here. Her father seemed to have started to smile more and to accept the changes in his life.
She was thinking she'd be perfectly content in her thoughts until she saw something in the air not too far from her. Frowning slightly she moved so she could see around the tree. It seemed to large to be a bird ...

"Huh?" Heyyyy! His eyes couldn't help but look when he saw just a bit of different movement. Not one wandering, but one lying down. And it might just be her! It had been a while, but it was hard to forget the colours of a coat!
He cut his wings in a downward slope, aiming to land a few feet away from the tree. It wasn't...the best landing, but he managed to do it without looking too much like a fool. The downside was that he managed to get some dirt in his eyes, and pawing at his eyes to rub it out wasn't working as fast as he had hoped. "Oowww ow owww."

She blinked as the form came in her direction and resolved into something she would never forget the sight of. "Kimbilio!" she squeaked slightly and ran in his direction. She would have tacked him if she hadn't taken notice of the slightly bad landing and his apparently pain.
"Oh ... you shouldn't rub that.." She reached up once she'd skidded to a halt in front of him and set a paw on his. "It works better if you just cry. Rubbing just moves the grit around and hurts more."

He winced, looking through watery eyes to see a very blurry form of the lioness before him. It was definately her!
He laughed, blinking through the pain. "But I don't have any reason to cry!" he protested, letting the watery eyes clear out most of the dirt. It still stung a bit, but at least it wasn't so overwhelming that he couldn't see. His eyes were just a little glassy, that's all.
"I didn't think I would be able to find you out here! I didn't know where to look, and there are so many other lions..." Well, more than he had ever seen himself.

"Crying isn't always bad." She laughed softly as she watched him. "You can cry when you're happy too ... though i've never really understood why i just hear that some do." She had wondered before if she would ever cry from being happy about something.
"I was thinking about you ... maybe that helped?" She had no idea how those things worked but some times thinking about things enough made them happen. "I'm sure if you would have asked around someone could have told you. I mean ... at least i think so."

"For girls its not bad. For boys? I mean, don't we look kind of silly is we just start crying?" He pouted his lower lip out a bit, looking a little defeated. Which, for him, wasn't hard to do.
"I'm kind of in a loss of what to do with my life right now, so I thought I'd visit someone from my past," he said with joy. "And I figured it would be best to see you!"
He folded his wings up against his back, smiling broadly at her. The moisture from his eyes gathered at the edges, and it slipped down his cheek just a bit. He reached over to use his mane to wipe it, laughing. "I swear that wasn't on purpose!"

"well it wasn't like you were just crying out of nowhere. I think having dirt in your eye is a perfectly good excuse if your a girl or a boy" She'd never really understood the whole girl/boy thing anyway, probably because she'd grown up with nothing but brothers.
Her cheeks fluffed slightly at that, not expecting to be who he thought of when wanting to revisit his past. She couldn't remember him being this .... cute before. "I'm glad you came to visit. I was wondering if you were doing alright ... and where you were ... and things."

"Ahhh...." Well, he wouldn't dive into it. He had grown up with 5 sisters, and half of them had walked all over him, so he already wasn't the manliest guy out there. So he was trying to make up for it now. If....it seemed like it was working, anyway.
He smiled, excited. "Well, nothing, really. I lingered around here and there with some others, but I guess I have a hard time really sticking to one place." His tail flopped behind him. "But I always enjoyed my time with you and the family, so I wanted to see how you were doing do? How's the family? You seem to e doing pretty well, am I right?"
A million questions. He should slow down juuust a little, but he was a little excited.

"Shouldn't worry too much about being girly or manly. Just have to be yourself." She smiled brightly.
"Well ... yes and no." She chewed on her lip slightly. "We never did find Kivuli after the earthquake so we don't know if he's okay or anything. Shujaa's pretty broken up about it still, i think he dwells on it too much. Dad's kinda like that too but i think he's starting to at least come to terms with some other stuff. Talking to the elders here has made him smile more."
She paused as she wondered about herself a bit. She really hadn't done much except be there. "i guess i'm just sorta ... doing nothing too."

Kimbi thought for a moment before speaking. Wow. He was kind of surprised at that revelation, since he had such hope that they would find him. Still.... "I'm sure he's fine, out there. I mean, I'm not only saying it to make you feel better." He smiled. "But he's probably out there, enjoying life, wishing he knew where you guys were so he could see you again."
Oh, Kimbi.
Switching gears, he offered a laugh. "Well, at least you're here, though! And you must be happy, since it would be pretty obvious if you weren't. Probably that whole transition into being an adult. I'm certainly still not used to this huge mane."

"I hope so." She nodded. "I just can't think that anything bad happened to him so he's got to be somewhere living a nice life." and maybe one day they'd get to see each other again. "And i can tell him that dad's not a grump anymore." Which would probably be worth the look on his face no matter how long it took.
"I like it though." She reached up and fluffed his mane. "It looks good on you."

"Oh? Well, that would be good for him to hear!" He laughed. "I'm sure grumpy fathers are not fun to live with, no matter how much you love them. At least he's doing better. And your mother?" He always had a soft spot for mothers. Probably because he loved his so very much, and never liked the fact that she had pushed him out on his own. In the long run it was good for him, but maaan it was hard growing up. At least he had a bit of a spine now, and a head on his shoulders.
He smiled when she ruffled his mane, even with how fluffy it was. "It's only terrible when I'm caught out on those really hot days." He had never really gone anywhere where it got really cold, but it might be nice then!
