It would be a understatement that Khuluma’s life was unstable. He was, in short, going nowhere and everywhere. To him, he had a plan, which was simple to find people and meet them. Talking was key, learning was his goal, and not getting attacked was vital. This resulted in some rather interesting encounters, and plenty of travel. Thus far, he had met a whole slew of gods and goddesses and for someone so young, he was rather pleased with himself. He was actually getting flying down too, which made him smile. He would think that a certain handsome lilac god would be proud. Still, as much as he had ideas of what he wanted, going about them was a different matter. As of yet, he wasn’t going in any real direction, and was more or less bumping into anyone he could find that didn’t look like they would make a meal of him. He had already been warned that gods could still get hurt. He usually remembered, but he just couldn’t help bounding over to those who looked they could give an interesting conversation.
It was at this point that Khuluma was settled in the shade of a cluster of trees, watching a small shower pass. Rain was not his friend, as he found it did nothing to improve his hair. Instead, the minor god sat on a rock in the protection of the trees and watched the puddles form, tail swaying and wondering where everyone else was. It was times when he watched prey animals rush into clusters and found small prairie dogs scatter that he wondered what he was about to do. He was a bundle of energy without a specific destination, and it was starting to get to him.
"This would be easier if someone was looking for me instead." He huffed, raising a wing to avoid a few raindrops.

Dath hated rain. Absolutely hated it. The water would always soak his wings, and they would become too heavy for him to really use in flight. Not that he really needed to use them to fly, but hey, it was showy. And he liked that. The whole, strike fear into hearts thing. That was his cup of tea.
This rain? No way in hell.
So why was he out here? Probably just to make a poor soul miserable like him. He had given up all that plunder and destroy stuff a while ago. It got old, quick. Now he went back to his old ways, just poking buttons. And when he got bored, he'd just move on.
Overhearing a small voice, he abolished his invisbility thing. It was nice if he wanted to sneak up on prey, but he just couldn't resist himself.
"Maybe they would if it was something to look for," he sneered, flashing out his wings quickly to shake out the water that began to gather within them.

While still a cub, even Khuluma could pick apart words. It was part of his underlying talents, and while he turned and was almost swept up in the realization that he not only had company, but it was a god, he couldn’t just ignore what was being said. For someone he just met, having someone say that to him was rather mean. Pouting, he chalked up this to bad weather making bad moods. Khuluma wasn’t happy he was stuck in the rain, but he was upbeat in that he could watch it from a semi-dry place.
When the god shook off, he shielded himself with his wings, before opening them. Great. Wet wings. Well, he wasn’t about to shout yet. Company was company after all, and he wanted to be nice.
“What’s that suppose to mean? I happen to be quite a find.” he said, retaliating. While he didn’t want to quarrel, he wasn’t about to let that go without a response. First off, he wasn’t an “it”, he was a “he”, and a very pretty he at that. In his opinion, he was something worth finding.
Inspecting his wings and licking the few raindrops off, he looked to the other god. Dark red, gray, and a full mane. He was a intimidating, fully grown lion, but he had great taste in jewelry. The gems hanging from a golden collar caught his eye, but not as much as the horn protruding from his crown. Wow. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what it would be used for, but it was rather sharp looking.
“Hello. I’m Khuluma. Who might you be?” Khuluma gave off a charming, white smile for his greeting and opening the air for a polite conversation. This god didn’t seem happy to be wait, and he didn’t want to push his bad side.

Dathcharu'kai's golden eyes flashed as he glared at the little creature before him. A god, obviously, with the wings, but...so little. And the mane was so....well. Dath wasn't the most versed in other gods, but he knew it wasn't quite normal for such a small one to have such a large mane.
"A good find would be a meal," he replied with a bored tone, his eyes wandering around as if he was only thinking of a meal. Gods didn't need to eat, but he couldn't help but enjoy the taste of blood. It was so warm...the perfect thing for such a wet and dreadful day.
Shaking his distracting thoughts away, the crimson-coated god settled his wings on his sides, knowing that while most of the water was repelled by them, there were still the bits that leaked through and soaked into his back. Bleeech.
"I am Chaos," he said, as he normally did when meeting other immortals. Mortal-given names were nice, sure, but why not get just straight to the point?

Khuluma wasn’t one for just names that said domains. He liked to know a domain, but he liked to know a name as well. It was like stating ‘This is who I am’ and then ‘this is my domain’. For a godling who’s own domain was based around a type of organization, meeting Chaos himself was either a good thing or a bad thing. Khuluma decided that it was probably good, as he had managed to meet Confusion and had left with a friend and all his wits intact. It was becoming a false idea to assume that being a god of one thing meant he acted like that. Well, in some cases. For now, he was going to give Chaos the benefit of the doubt.
That did not mean he was going to be stupid. He had been attacked once before by some God that messed with colors, and he wasn’t about to be so foolish to not learn from it. Puffing up, Khuluma neared the other god. Speaking at a distance was never his style when it was between two Gods, and he went over and sat at a paw’s length from the other god.
“Hello Chaos. My name is Khuluma, god of Rhetoric.” He looked the other god over once more before letting his sapphire eye hold onto Chaos’ yellow ones. “I wouldn’t be a good meal, but I make for some hearty conversation. ” He grinned at his own joke, and then went to brushing off droplets from his wings.
It’s a pleasure to meet you. Chaos. That sounds like a interesting domain. How can you rule over something that…has no rules? You must have fun causing a ruckus!”

Dath snarled slightly as the little runt grew closer to him. Deciding that he was far from a threat, the god settled himself while still keeping his muscles tight. The rain wasn't lightening his mood at all, regardless of what this Khuluma would do.
He huffed at the comment, feeling that the new god was obviously very inexperienced. Oddly enough, he felt like honestly replying, instead of cracking a joke back.
"It isn't all fun and games," he grumbled. "There are times when your Domain will take over. For you, perhaps it will never be that dangerous." Because really, how would he get himself into trouble? Probably with a goofy grin and saying the wrong thing. A far cry from how Dath could lose himself into his power.

The snarl made Khuluma crouch low in a sign that he was both not a threat and acknowledged that Chaos had the power here. Khuluma had no problem with being submissive to a force that was much bigger than he was when it came to the physical. It was the world of words that he had power. He hadn’t so much as raised a paw in his short life thus far and he doubted he would. It just wasn’t his style, and he felt you could much more accomplished and resolved with talking.
Ears back, he remained with his belly to the ground as he looked up at the other God. Without parents, Khuluma had to learn all about Gods from other gods. This news of his domain taking over was all new to him, and he tried to process it. “Your domain can take over? So…for you…it would be like Chaos taking over who you were? Hmm.” He tried to envision what being taken over by your domain, in this case trying to think of what being consumed with Chaos would be, but he came up short. “It sounds dangerous, but you seem …to have control.” He didn’t want to say that Chaos had a short fuse. The way he grumbled and glared at him was not a clear indicator of this.
Not wanting to have this conversation be about bad things all the way through, he turned it towards a new direction. Bad subjects could be good transitions to happy ones. “ – But you HAVE had some less dangerous times? Maybe even a few nice ones?”

Amused at the different ways the conversation was going quite quickly, Dath picked through his mind, deciding exactly what to respond to, and what to consider useless questions that really wouldn't mean much. He was irritable, but the inquisitive kid was keeping him mildly entertained for the moment. Tolerable, more like.
"It is like how one sleeps," he said, avoiding the subject that gods didn't need to sleep, either. "The mind takes over as one surrenders to it. Something similar, only it is usually triggered by something. Emotions, I presume." Actually, most of the time it had been emotions. And selfish ones, nothing that had to do with his domain. What had to deal with him, personally, as Dath'charukai, as he walked in the mortal realm. An interesting thought he had never noticed before.
Following the circles the other one was going, he snorted at the 'less' comment. "Only when I was your age," he grumbled. "I was quite a brat, and certainly had my way as long as my twin wasn't around."

Khuluma thought of how it must feel to surrender to your mind to a state that meant you had no self control. He had never felt such a surge of emotion before which meant he failed to relate, but he had a vague feeling that he might be able to see it. Sometimes he got angry himself and just dug up the ground or batted a rock. If it was intensified, maybe then his domain would take over. He was certainly curious what effects it would bring, but the fact it could be dangerous made him certain he would intentionally do this.
Going back on track, he picked apart the last words. “As long as your brother was around, you had a better time? So did he get in your way, and why do you no longer have a fun time now? I don’t think nice times would go away due to your age even if you’re no longer a brat.” His words, not Khuluma’s, though he knew it might not be taken that way. He just wondered why this poor god didn’t have as many fun times now when he was a massive adult as he did as a kid. Seemed a bit sad. Maybe Khuluma could help!

"Sister," he sneered. A brother would have been much different; they probably would have gotten in trouble together. "Indeed, when I was young it was easier to get away with things. Immortal or not, when you grow and learn more, you're expected to act 'right'." And though he was a god that leaned more on the 'evil' side, he was still expected to treat mortals with respect. Hah!
"Now, the weight of everything I do follows me. And as I know it does, as my twin, my sister, is Justice. Something inescapable, though certainly corruptable." Perhaps he would find a way to keep her off of him, but he hadn't found a way around it yet. He'd probably just have to face her and chase her off. Flexing his claws, remembering a recent kill, he was certain he would be able to do it. Kill, no, as he would (probably) anger the gods for it, but make her back down and leave him be. Mortals needed to learn their place.
"Regardless, I envy your thoughts," he grunted, flicking a wing to sent water flying away from him. "The only fun I find now a days is less than fun for the opposing party."

Khuluma didn’t like the fact that Chaos could sneer when saying he had a sister. Far too many gods seemed to cringle or curl in at the thought of their family, that it made the god, who had nothing, angry inside. How often had he wished he had a sibling of his own, a mother or a father, and yet he met many gods who either didn’t talk to theirs, hated theirs, or even forgot about them. It seemed horrible to him, and he felt himself fume inside. Ungrateful. The whole lot of them. Even if they had opposing domains, that did not mean they shouldn’t be family.
Justice seemed to be the sister of Chaos, and the two domains were very much the opposite of each other. Was it cruel irony that the family that came from gods was often the domains that were at war with each other? He remembered Pala, the God of Prey, and his brother Uhai, the God of Predators. Still, even though they spoke from time to time, they were still domains that clashed. That didn’t meant hey hated each other. It was a balance after all.
As the flick of his wings, Khuluma shrank, raising a paw to wipe off some water. It was getting colder now with the rain. “Well, maybe if you had company. Then you’d have someone on your side to have fun with instead of facing against someone. What…kind of fun do you have?” What did Chaos do? He wasn’t sure how a God like that used their domain.

Dath....didn't quite hate his sister. But as she always seemed to have the upper hand in everything, she was the one thing that he could never best. And he hated that.
He always had to be the best.
"Company," he snorted. "I don't do well with company. As soon as I get bored with them, I get lonely again." Normally he either left them, or killed them. And lately, he was getting bored much faster than he used to.
"I'm sure my version of fun is vastly different from yours," he grinned. "Though it is quite fun in my view. Evil does evil things, and death plays with my paws whenever I decide to have fun." His latest kill had been quite amusing. Why any mortal thought they lay claim to Earth's land had only made him taunt the little leopard, and she ended up defending it with her life. At least, until someone else moved in to 'claim' it. He would never understood why they were so territorial over lands that weren't their's to begin with.

It didn’t even take Khuluma’s intellect to figure out what death meant in this case. This god was a killer. It hit him fast, and he breathed in deep before closing his mouth to stifling the realization from showing. He was Chaos after all, and even chaos resulted in casualties. Still, the way he seemed to regard it as a nice little addition to the day, a pastime that he sometimes entertained, was nothing short of terrifying for a cub who had yet to kill anything in his life. Even more, he knew danger when he spotted it. How long did it take for Chaos to get bored and let his other pastime take hold? Was it a threat, or would he be offended to have Khuluma leave suddenly to the point of being furious?
He had to plan this tactfully. “Maybe that is all the more reason to find company that keeps your interest. You should find someone like that for yourself. It would cure of being lonely, and also from being bored.” It could also help with the death toll that was taken from Chaos’ paws alone.
Not wanting to be another number, he looked out to the rain. While it was getting weaker, it wasn’t gone just yet. Still, death or frizzy hair really wasn’t a hard choice. While Khuluma really wanted to get him a longer conversation and a chance, he was worried for his well being. He was a cub after all, without protection from a larger male.
“It…looks like the rain isn’t letting up. I should be getting back to the herd. ” He flexed his wings. “I hope I didn’t disturb you, Chaos. It had been a nice talk. I hope it was…interesting.” In that he hoped that Chaos hadn’t considered murdering him just yet.

"Hmmm." He narrowed his golden eyes, the thin slits studying the small, equally golden godling. Something had passed through his mind, but Dath was unsure as where the begin guessing. No matter. He had been amused for long enough, and at this point he was merely playing with the lingering interest that still bothered him about this god. Even if he had been around for a while, he hadn't met one such as him.
His mind wandering, still slightly distracted by the rain and the questions Khuluma had asked him earlier, it almost felt passive to wave him off.
Wait. Herd?
His full attention returned to Khuluma, looking amused. "Well then, have fun frolicking with the cattle," he said with a chuckle. Perhaps he should have taken a deeper look into it, but hey, the rain was making his brain a little soggy.

It seemed nothing would happen to him, and while that was making him hesitant to leave, not really the type to break off a conversation if the other participant was still wiling, he didn’t know how well his luck might last him. He knew very little about Chaos, but he knew enough that it might not be best at the current place and time to have such a long conversation. Khuluma was more and more aware of his size, strength, and the possibility that his powers were just as strong. For a cub god who knew nothing of his own powers and had no one there to provide him help if he should get into a fight here and now, he had to call this encounter short. Maybe, in a bit of time, he could meet Chaos when he was older and had a stronger sense of security. For now, the little golden god was happy just to have met Chaos. It pleased him for now, but he would make it a point to see him some time again. There was still many things he wanted to ask, and even more he wanted to learn. Maybe by then, Chaos would have a companion that could entertain him and curb those overtaking powers he had. A god could hope, right?
Shaking off, he prepared himself for what would be a wet flight. “Klipspringers specifically. They’re very nice to me.” He turned but paused again. Sometimes he just had too many words he wanted to say. “Chaos, I hope I can see you again. It was nice speaking with you. I hope you have some more fun in the future. I certainly have had a bit now. Thank you. Till we meet again.” It wasn’t a question but an honest hope, and giving a small smile, he parting his wings and took off, giving a sloppy takeoff before taking himself up into the clouds. The rain was lifting.
