... the familiars come out to play~ Corwin was, if anything, bored. He drifted aimlessly outside the shop as he waited for his bond, Shade, to return from the lake. It wasn't uncommon for Shade to slip away to 'the big puddle', as the cow familiar referred to it. Since the Winiko was part koi, he actually found it more calming to search for inspiration for his poetry in the murky depths of a pond rather than out under the shade of a tree. Unfortunately, Corwin couldn't accompany his aquatic demon friend on these leisurely excursions. Whenever he attempted to dunk under the surface, he would always bob back up, like some miniature flotation device. So he was forced to wait behind. What was worse, Shade was always gone for hours on end, meaning Corwin was the subject to being smacked out of the air by rambunctious demon kits or tossed around by stray Winiko while he had to wait at the shop for is master to return.
And now he was bored out of his god-forsaken, mini-cow-sized mind. Corwin found himself floating in circles, from hyperactive, mid-air doughnuts to slow, drowsy ovals. All the while, smacking into the same pole that supported the shop's awning over and over again with each turn.

Lilly was having fun. There were so many new arrivals at her home, that she never seemed to be bored. The familiars and demons were always running into each other, so she had someone to pester, when Juillet was outside, or sleeping. But today was a good day to relax. She had just been swatted, caught, shaken, and dragged around by Northridge, and Johai. She loved the little kittens to bits, but now she was done playing for the day, and escaped to let them rough house with each other. Sometimes it was nice to be out of the madhouse too. With a soft "reee" of content, she drifted lazily to the shop she knew of as the second home for winiko and familiars, and apparently some humans too. She expected it to be quiet and peaceful, but there was something strange. Something was running into that long poll-y thing. "REE?" She squealed, zooming faster over to the cow thing. "Ree ree?"

Corwin gave a disgruntled moo as he continued to float in circles, but paused as a loud, incoming "REE" caught his attention. He turned to find a large, flying grape hurtling towards him and promptly squeaked in horror as he darted behind the pole for cover, which did little to nothing as a shield. However, as the grape zoomed closer, the cow found it wasn't a grape, but instead a familiar. He peered out from behind the pole curiously at the questioning "Ree ree?" and blinked at the indigo orb. She looked odd compared to most other familiars he'd seen before. For one, she wasn't malicious or devious-looking like many of the others. In fact, he'd never seen a familiar like her, whereas most small orbs were differentiated by a type. She didn't seem harmful either, then again, looks could be deceiving! "Mrr-mroo?"

"Reee ~<3" Lilly happily peeked at him around the pole. She smiled and smiled, quivering in glee. She always did like meeting new people. So much for a day alone.
"Ree." I'm Lilly. She chittered in the language only familiars seemed to understand. Goodness knows not even her demon could understand her, let alone that human that houses everyone.

"Mroo...?" he cooed curiously in return at the familiar's happy demeanor, wiggling his ears as he cautiously edged out from behind the pole. He glanced around to see if a Winiko had accompanied this familiar, but was mildly surprised to find she was without one. Then again, so was he.
Corwin was a bit taken aback as she introduced herself and tilted his head, or more precisely his body, to the side in inquiry. It had been awhile since he last conversed with one of his own kind. "Mr-...mroo," Ah, hello. Nice to meet you. he greeted, bobbing up an down as he gained a little more of his confidence back as he gathered Lilly was of well-intentions. "Mroo~" I'm Corwin.

"Ree-ee-ee." Lovely to meet you Corwin. Are you here alone? Lilly was swaying back and forth as she looked at the cow fellow. She wasn't used to other familiars wandering away from their bonded demons. Oh! Maybe he was lost? She didn't ask, but she wanted to.

The small cow's ears wiggled a little more to express his happiness for meeting someone so pleasant. Between the other two familiars that were acquainted with the Winiko in The House that his master stayed at, Corwin was used to either being tackled or blatantly ignored. "Moo. Mroo-mrr." Yes. I'm waiting for my Master Shade to return from the big puddle! he replied with a sagely-like nod. "Mroo-oo?" Are you here with someone?

Lilly shook herself. "Ree." I'm here alone. She pondered a moment. Her bond Juillet was always telling Peridot and her familiar Squiggles not to talk to strangers. But what was a stranger again? Oh yes. Cetus said a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet. "Ree. R-ree ree~ Reeeeee?" My master is home playing with the little ones of her kind. Want to go to that human village? Juillet had taken Lilly through the human's village once. It was nice where they were. The streets were clean, and there were lots of shops that had pretty clothes that they loved looking at. Lilly had wanted to go back. She wanted to try things on, but neither her master, nor master's bond would listen to her and take her.

Corwin gave a little squeak of a sigh in understanding before hovering quietly in contemplation. He looked back up at the violet familiar as she spoke up again and perked in curiosity at mention of visiting the town. "Mr-...mrroo, mroo?" Y-you want... me to go along? He felt a surge of perplexing joy, never having thought that he would be interesting enough to be invited to go somewhere. On top of that, he never had the chance to visit markets or villages on account of his master Shade, who wasn't extremely fond of crowds and never had the desire to visit such places that so often accumulated so many people. The small cow bobbed happily in gratitude to Lilly at her offer. "Mroo!" I'd love to!

Lilly was pretty ecstatic about this. She zipped around him a few times, each revolution getting closer to him until her green leafy tendrils brushed against Corwin's ears and horns. "Ree~ Reeeeee!" She began giggling and floating backwards away from him. "Reeree." This will be so much fun. I can't wait! The town's this way.
She made sure he didn't get too far behind, and often while drifting around, she'd get too far ahead, and dart back to him and chatter a little about the fun things they could do. There was a shop that sold things which fit over round things, and they always looked so stylish! Her master's bond had one too, and wore it on that melon-shaped head. Plus, it was always fun to float around with them, and watch humans think the store is haunted or something.
She grew steadily more excited as she could see the town, and the shopping district seemed to glitter like the sea. In a way it was a sea. A sea of people and money, and goods to buy, and things to play with, and food.
"REEEEE!" THERE IT IS!
