N E P H I L I M Nephilim are the descendants of the heavenly angels left behind. Mostly they bred with humans, but it's possible that there may be many other mixes with vampyre, draconian, and possibly even navnlos heritage. Because their angelic blood is the strongest, they are often mistaken for angels by outsiders and are referred to as such. General Appearance – Nephilim are typically fair of hair and skin with light colored eyes. Common eye colors include various shades of blue, grey, and violet. Both men and women are tall with sturdy builds meant to put on muscle. As they are descended from warriors and live in a cold climate, they're good at packing on fat and muscle.
As far as clothing goes, most nephilim stick to a lighter color palette than most, going with different shades of gray, variants of white, and hues of blue. They wear heavier materials in many layers since they come from such a cold part of the world. Furs are other animal hides are commonly integrated into their fashion to help hold back the Sundosian chill. They also seem to be quite fond of fabrics that drape and flow.
Average Height – The average height for females is about 5’10”.
The average height for males is about 6’2”.
Hair Color Variants – Most nephilim are fair haired with various shades of blonde and sometimes red. In coastal regions, hair might even be light brunette. In certain noble bloodlines, it isn't unheard of for nephilim children to be born with hair so blonde it appears silver.*
Eye Color Variants – The most common eye color is blue, but other colors found in those of angelic blood are: light gray and lavender.*
Skin Color Variants – Nephilim living in coastal towns have slightly tanned skin, whereas those further inland are rather pale.
Distinguishing Characteristics – Most nephilim are indistinguishable from humans, as humans can vary quite a bit in appearance. Certain noble lines have born unique characteristics that have mostly died out such as wings and veyl script.*
Other Forms – Nephilim with veyl scripts can sometimes grow wings. The wings are entirely based upon the magic in their blood that connects them to the goddess that created their angel ancestors. Since the wings are not truly physical in the sense that their limbs are, they are bound to their flesh by the veyl script and are not always present. When their wings are out, however, they function as a true extension of the nephilim's body, just like their arms or legs.
Powers and Special Abilities – Superhuman hearing, strength, and agility. They also have the ability to use light magick to some extent. Nephilim with veyl script will be more likely to produce more powerful spells.
Religion – The nephilim follow the word of the Talethia, the Goddess of Light that created them.
Location – All nephilim stem from Sundosia, but they can be found in other parts of the world. Usually they are found among humans, as it is easier for them to blend in with them.
Average Life Span – The average life span of a nephilim is two hundred years. *Veyl script - nephilim that are born with potential to grow wings will have telltale markings on their face and backs called "veyl script." On the face it may appear as decorative dots or swirls framing the eyes or on their forehead. On their back it will be much more elaborate, with angelic language blended in with the swirling lines in the shape of wings.
Occasionally, a nephilim born with veyl script may only have the markings on their face and not their back, meaning they will never grow wings.
So far only nephilim with known noble blood have been born with veyl script.
The script can appear in white, silver, or gold.

D E M O N S Demons are the creation of Baereln. Long ago, demons were incredibly diverse in appearance. As centuries have passed and bloodlines have thinned due to breeding with outsiders, many demonic traits have vanished. It is rare now to see a demon with massive curling horns, but some may still retain smaller horns or antlers.
Demons have made their home in the gently rolling hills and vast plains of Heinen, with territories stretching up to the wastelands of Elegia.
While they appear to have small, plain towns on the surface, their culture thrives with massive underground cities hidden throughout the plains. General Appearance –Demons are known for their often diverse and colorful skin tones, golden eyes, and flamboyant hair colors.
The males are large and muscular while the females are often petite in comparison.
In order to accessorize with their radiant hair colors, demons use vibrant dyes on all of their clothing, covering all the colors of the rainbow. They often accessorize with colorful scarves, veils, ribbons, bells, and charms.
Average Height –The average height for females is 5’5”.
The average height for males is 6’6”.
Hair Color Variants –The most common color is bright ruby red. Other colors include different variants of orange, blond, violet*, and black*.
Eye Color Variants –Gold eyes are the sign of a pure blood demon. Mixed bloods usually have orange eyes.
Skin Color Variants –Their skin varies from typical human colors of peach and bronze to more interesting hues of red, pink, blue, violet, and occasionally pitch black.
Distinguishing Characteristics – The first demons were humananoid in appearance, like many of the beings on Idril, with slight differences. Some demons had horns like goats, others like those found on oxen. Other demons had wings, tails, and ears resembling those from various beasts. As time went by, demons of lesser bloodlines were the only ones with tell tale demonic traits, while demons of more noble blood only sported their unusual characteristic when they exerted their powers.
Other Forms –All demons of pure or half blood have a full demonic form that changes their normal humanoid form. With every demon it varies and it can also differ depending on where their other heritage lies. Certain noble demon families have different inherited forms.
All full demon forms are based off of some other creature, such as different birds, snakes, certain wild animals, and even dragons*.
Powers and Special Abilities –Humanoid Form: Superhuman strength, hearing, and eyesight. Along with that, certain Demons (those trained in the magickal arts; priests, priestesses, etc.) can use Underworld magick.
Demonic Form: They retain the abilities they have in their humanoid form, but they can use whatever natural powers they obtain through that form as well as lower level Underworld magick.
Religion –Demons were created by Baereln, God of Fire and Destruction and therefore feel obligated to worship him. They often throw week long festivals with fire dancing and other spectacles.
Location –Although they can be found in other parts of the world, all demons hail from Heinen.
Average Life Span – The average life span of a thin-blooded demon is one hundred years. Demons with more pure blood can live up to two hundred years. * – Rare

D E V I L S Devils are mutations of angels. When an angel from the High Realm makes a pact with a god from the Underworld, they undergo a magical and physical transformation. Only angels that have unlocked their full potential are selected to undergo the metamorphosis - weaker angels would be killed in the process. After the change occurs, the former angel is able to access underworld magic as well as light magic. General Appearance – Devil appearances vary depending on the god they make a pact with. As all devils stem from angels, their appearances are roughly the same in their glamoured form. They will appear human to the untrained eye, which varying physical characteristics.
Devils usually dress in any array of colors and fashions associated with the deity that created them.
Average Height – The average height for females is about 5’10”.
The average height for males is about 6’2”.
Hair Color Variants – Most devils will retain the appearance of their angelic brethren, sporting lighter hair colors such as various shades of brown, red, and blond. Occasionally, during the mutation other changes may occur. It is rare, but devils can develop darker or more intense hair colors.
Eye Color Variants – Since all devils are created from angels, they have all of the same eye colors associated with angels. This includes many shades of blue, but other colors found in those of angelic blood that would carry on with the devil transformation are: light gray and lavender.*
Skin Color Variants – Most devils will be fairer skinned like their angelic counterparts, but some mutations may occur that result in darker skin. In even more rare cases, skin may turn gray*, black*, or gold*.
Distinguishing Characteristics – Under a glamour, devils appear to be human. They can occasionally be mistaken for nephilim, however, as they do share a similar descent.
Like nephilim, devils may have had veyl script leftover from their angelic blood. In addition to the angelic markings, they usually develop a devil's version of the same magic to bind their forms - shyr script*. All devils will find themselves marked with shyr script after undergoing metamorphosis. The spellbindings in the dark, swirling script allow them to control their glamours and appear as mortals.
Other Forms – When in their devil form gray or black wings protrude from their backs; the darker the wings, the more powerful the devil. Aside from the wings, devils also bear either one or two sets of horns on their heads; only devils tied to Valencis have two sets of horns. Devils tied to other gods and goddesses have one set of horns starting at the temples that curve slightly upward; the longer the horns, the more powerful the devil. For those tied to Valencis, their second pair of horns are larger and curl around their first pair. When in this form, all devils take on either red, glowing eyes or their normal eye color with horizontal-slit pupils; those that kept their normal eye color hold more power.
Powers and Special Abilities – Humanoid Form: Superhuman hearing, strength, and agility. They also have the ability to use certain underworld magicks to some extent.
Devil Form: They retain the abilities they already have in their humanoid form, but their underworld magick is more effective and they’ve also gained the ability to use light magick once more (they are former angels, after all). Higher ranking devils may also create a sword made from their energy to use in battle.
Religion – Each devil worships the deity that changed them into what they are.
Location – Devils are created from angels, who only reside in the High Realms. As a being with Underworld ties would not be allowed to remain among the High Realm Court, they can be found anywhere around Idril, acting on behalf of their patron deity.
Average Life Span – All devils have infinite life spans as long as their deity has need of them. Shyr script - markings in the ancient language of the Underworld gods. The permanent markings appear as tattoos would on flesh, marking devils with spellbindings that allow them to control the appearance of their glamour and control their powers.
On the face it may appear as decorative dots or swirls framing the eyes or on their forehead. On their back it will be much more elaborate; the angelic language from leftover veyl script blends into the darker Underworld language and contrasting swirling lines in the shape of wings and flames.
Leftover veyl script will appear in its former color of white, silver or gold.
The contrasting shyr script will appear as black or red.

S N A K E S General Appearance - Commoner Snakes have bronze tanned skin, dark hair, and brightly colored eyes. The males have thin, finely muscled bodies and the females have soft, curvy figures.
Snakes of noble or royal lineage have paler skin than the commoners, but retain the dark hair and colorful eyes. There is no difference in body structure between noble and commoners.
Often times, commoner female Snakes wear pastel colored lightly patterned drapes and robes. On the other spectrum, females of noble class will wear more brightly dyed drapes and robes.
Typically commoner and noble males will both wear dark colored robes.
Both genders tend to accent their fabrics with feathers, jewels, and scales.
Average Height - The average height for females is 5'6".
The average height for males is 5'10".
Hair Color Variants - The most common colors are dark brown and black. Other variants may include green* or red* tinted black.
Eye Color Variants - Common eye colors are green, gold, and blue. Rarer colors are purple*, red*, and orange*.
Skin Color Variants - Commoners usually have darker, copper colored skin. Royalty and nobility are more on the pale side.
Distinguishing Characteristics - They have patterns of scales on their bodies that mark them. They all have large gems on their chest and on the back of their neck. The royalty have star-burst patterns around the large jewels. They also have a tendency to carry around a slip of snake skin either in the form of a belt, shawl, or other accessory.
Other Forms - When in their animal snake forms, they range between 8 and 12 feet in length. They look like normal snakes aside from the large gems embedded in the center of their throats.
Powers and Special Abilities - Humanoid Form: Superhuman hearing, strength, scent, and agility.
Snake Form: They retain the abilities they already have in their humanoid form, but they also gain the ability to produce paralyzing and deadly toxins. They inject this powerful venom into their prey through the use of their hollow snake fangs.
Religion - The Snakes worship many gods and goddesses. First and foremost they give praise to Cirel, the goddess that created them from the clay of the earth.
Location - The Melusine are found deep within the Atrumalus forest in a location unknown to any but the Forlen Wolf tribe. Vouivre, the outcast Snakes, can be found anywhere in the world, providing they are recognized.
Average Life Span – The average lifespan of a commoner Snake is about 300 years.
The average lifespan of Snake with noble or royal lineage is about 550 years.
The average lifespan of an outcast Snake is anywhere between 250 and 400 years, depending on how quickly they adapt to the outside world. * – Rare
