Why, people assume we love chicken, we're loud and rude, we are "gangster". Why

People are idiots. That's why.

What you see is what you get. If you look at the media African Americans are sterotyped like that and no one would actually want to research to say otherwise. But I mean African Amercians aren't the only ones who get sterotyped alot, every race does.

[True, Ebony Beauty, every race is stereotyped; likewise, every race also stereotypes. That's why comedians are so important. Margaret Cho...Chris Rock...George Lopez...Jeff Foxworthy. All of them are well-known for making fun of their own race. Taking those stereotypes and making them into something not so serious. Besides, black people create some of our own stereotypes...!

And...*ahem*...I happen to like fried chicken...That's one of the stereotypes I like for some strange reason. I laughed inside about it when dating my now-ex-boyfriend, who was white. xd ]

It gets on my nerves, but oh well every ethnicity gets stereotyped. Besides most stereotypes are at least partly based on truth.

Because people are closed-minded. I mean don't get me wrong..some of us portray these images. It makes me angry when a black guy says, I'm tired of being called loud and a gangster! Then he goes right back around and acts like one. One person can ruin it for all of us.

[The person in your example is a hypocrite. Too bad the world is so full of them. confused I don't think it's one person or even just a handful. For the most popular stereotypes to have so much fervor behind them, people would have to actually be doing those things enough that a lot of others notice and begin to associate that thing with a certain type (or color) of person. neutral ]

This reminds me of this one time, my friend was over to my house and he was like "What you got to eat." Then he opened my fridge and there was Popeyes and red koolaid... Then he said, "Black people! Yall would have just that in your refridgerator."

[ xd I hate it when that happens! But it's funny at the same time. That has happened to me as well. One stereotype I love to endorse is the neck-swiveling, finger-snapping, teeth-sucking, asthmatic-sounding smart-a** black woman. I do that in public for kicks when I'm out with friends. They laugh. I laugh. Security is called. Fun times. lol ]

While I do agree with what you are saying, many other races are stereotyped just as much as blacks are... for example;
-Asians are usually stereotyped as short, all looking alike, have small penises, and people seem to think it's hilarious "mimicing" them with 'Ching chong chang'... like that actually means something.
-Mexicans are thought of as a bunch of people holding shitty jobs and border hoppers.
-Jews (Religion, I know) are portrayed as very cheap...

Bleh... so it's not just blacks... and as humans we classify, so it's easier to classify people into groups. In example calling all blacks loud... or uneducated neutral
