Angels and Fallen each have a name, a purpose and a power here is where you can list the names of your favorites wether they be from Heaven, Earth, or Hell. You can talk about them with others or share a picture of what you think they might look like anything in that catagory.

First information. Lucifer is not Satan nor was Lucifer an angel. Lucifer is a Latin word meaning "Light bearer". Lucifer is a reference to a proud Babylonian King. It is a popular misconception created by John Milton's Paradise Lost.

rmcdra First information. Lucifer is not Satan nor was Lucifer an angel. Lucifer is a Latin word meaning "Light bearer". Lucifer is a reference to a proud Babylonian King. It is a popular misconception created by John Milton's Paradise Lost. Actually I believe that is an up in the air sort of question depending on a person's belief, because some believe the babylonian king was named for the angel/star, but as I said that is up in the air.

Not really if it is within a specific belief system. Take Judaism for example. Lucifer is a figure in the OT which is the Tanakh, the Hebrew Holy text. Judaism does not see Lucifer as being Satan. Also in Judaism, Satan, or more appropriately Ha-satan, works for God and is not considered "fallen".

Lucifer to me is a being all on his own and is seprate from Satan, whose name as an angel was Samael. However Lucifer is also a some what touchy topic with me so you do not want to get in a heated debate about him with me or I might just use language that makes this forum rated R. Any way Lucifer and Satan both rock! so does Belial, Azazel, Appolion, etc...
