How fast do you read? I personally can read about a page a minute.

I'm a pretty slow reader. I often reread a sentence or a paragraph a couple of times to carefully take in what I'm reading so I'm sure to remember it. So it takes me a while to get through a single page.

well... it really depends. generally, i can be a pretty speedy reader
when necessary, but i prefer to read at a medium level. i guess i liek
to get through books kind of quickly, considering i have a lot to get
through a lot of the time, but i also liek to go slow enough to take
it all in.

depends on the book. The better it is the faster I'm through with it. mrgreen

Depends on the book.
I've never actually timed how long it takes me to read
a page though.
If I love the book I'll probably try to make myself
read slower so it lasts longer.

Depends on what I'm reading.

Text Books - Slower than a snail, I end up rereading paragraphs and sentences multiple multiple times before I finish a page, and sometimes going back to paragraphs even after I've moved on to the next page(s).

Novels - I read Goblet of Fire in like four hours. So I'm pretty sure it's faster than a page a minute, but I'm not sure. I use Goblet of Fire because it's probably the thickest novel I've read, and the last book in the Harry Potter series that actually held my interest...

I'd say I read pretty fast about 75 pgs an hour if the book is good.
If it's bad though or a hard read then its more like 75 pgs a week until i get into it.
I go through about 10 books a week using the library and used book stores.

If it's a book from school it takes me days to read but if it's a book I like, I can read 500 pages in three to four hours

Usually I'm a very fast reader, I can read like four pages a minute. That's annoying when it's a really good book series 'cause then I go out of my mind waiting to get the next one. It was also annoying in school 'cause I'd always finish the story we were reading in class before everyone else was even half way through and I ended up bored. xp

I don't know, I like to read things at not too quick a pace, I like to make the book last because I enjoy it more...it creates more suspense if you actually have to wait between when you've read a chapter and when you have time to read the next one. It also gives you time to think about the story and characters too...

It depends on whether the book in general interest me, the size of a book's font, or if it has vocabulary I can understand without having to pull out a dictionary. For example, it took me 3 hours to finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (a minute per page), but it took me 5+ hours to finish Pride and Prejudice, which has somewhere between 300-400 pages due to so many vocabulary I was unfamiliar with along with the size 9 font size (though it could be just that book I checked out at the library with the small font).

It's interesting how people time how long it takes them to read each page. I've never thought to do that before. Then again, I'm a really slow reader and I would probably feel embarassed if I found out exactly how slow I really am.
