So you have friend who plays (insert instrument here), and it's something that you don't have.
Before you can get yourselfs all tucked in to band-ship, guess who strolls along? ANOTHER BAND.
Your friend, being an idiot, desides to ditch you and go with them.
Has this ever happened to YOU?

It's happened to me ._.
But hell, the "band" he's in is just a bunch of friends who thought it would be Teh Br00tz to be in a super large 7 person band.
AND GET THIS.

I hate the ******** now.
Because his band now sits around and looks at instruments rather than doing anything, but he remains loyal to the dickfaces.
Oh well.

They named the band out of the guy-who-left-my-band's guitar strap.

And i'm not even joking about that.

Besides that, it was a total d**k move, because the chick who put the fail-band together is my ex, and the guy that does all the screams used to be one of my other best friends. And then he decided to go and date my ex without saying anything.

Anyway,
yeah.
I hate that kind of s**t.
Worst thing ever though is flakey-a** band members.
If you wanna be in a band with me you have to be willing to practice every scheduled practice.
We used to have this guy (Jason, for future reference) who was like our frontman, right?
He was all sorts of up for doing the band thing. . .
The first few weeks.
Then he started flakin' out every once in a while.
Then it was to the point where he didn't even drop by just to talk (let alone practice) anymore.
This discouraged the drummer because she thought that we needed a bassist & a frontman.
(Even though any one of us could have taken his frontman position)
And so she left, and she was the only drummer we knew.
This eventually lead to a defunct band spread across the Colorado Springs-Fountain-Ft.Carson area.
I loved playing with that band, too. >.<

I got the opposite, instead of getting bandmate-jacked I got band-jacked. I went up to college and my old band planned to gig during the summer and write when we got together during the school year. Turns out, another drummer jacked my spot, kept the songs that I wrote, and made a cd with MY songs that they sold for THEIR profit.
After some prodding (and pretending that I had a lawyer...) I did get a cut though xd

Hopefully.

No, I haven't had someone stolen, but there's this kid who wants to be in a band I've been trying to start for a while, (There doesn't seem to be a drummer anywhere near the state of Michigan for some reason) and he wants to make everything on a synth he owns. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing piece of equipment, but a band can't be all synthesized, and besides, he can't play for s**t. He keeps trying to push it, though. In short, this is why he's not in.
