tell me what your band director is like. im sure we all have some pretty cooky ones XD mine for one is quite obese and obsessed with starbucks coffee and is not very good at making motivational speeches and has temper tantrums

I love our color guard, they're definitely a part of our band. A couple of them are annoying, but every section has those people.
Edit: Alrighty, looks like you changed it to director. xd I love our director, too. She really helped the program, and we're doing better and better every year. She's strict when you're with the whole band, but really nice and fun with smaller groups. A week from her wedding last year she was so much fun because she was so giddy. xd

.... I really hate these threads of people saying a section is better than another or putting down members of your own band... Bad taste and only bad karma comes from it.

we all love our band director. sometimes we wanna kill him (he probally thinks the same with us) but in the end we're a big happy marching band family.

Mine is awesome. I cant believe that most of his friends on myspace are students. Like he doesn't get enough of us at school. razz He is a big fat man and does this weird high pitched giggle. He kinda looks like a frog.

Mine is SO nice and EXTREMLLY smart.
He can speak 7 languages and can play pretty much every instrument.

Mines great. It's the first time since i've joined marching band that we've had a band director that cared. Sometimes our band director can be a dork. He likes spongebob, and he sometimes gets too into music though o.o, it's kinda creepy. He's also pretty picky, but it's just to make us better, so i don't mind. So over all, he's pretty awesome.

Mine are awesome marchig bd's. Mr. Saldana tells us everything like his gf and what he did for the weekand and his childhood which we made inside jokes. And he is a awesome past Vanguard DM!:]
Our new marching bd, Mr. Daffinee is a brass instructor for phantom regiment. I don't know much because he came this year..he is cool though:]

mines one that makes friends with everyone, but plays favorites. he chooses section leaders and drum majors, not by talent, but who's his favorite person in the band. He acts like a teenager himself (sometimes younger) and he cracks us up. He's 32 btw. He's kinda fat but really really tall lol. haha there was one time when we were in Washington DC (day before the inauguration of Barack Obama) we're from florida where our squirrels are really tiny. haha my bd said they looked like cats and was trying to either pet or attack one but his wife grabbed him by the jacket sleeve and pulled him to us. OMG!!! it was hilarious XD

Our main director is ... interesting. He can be a real jerk when he's in a bad mood, or he freaks out when we mess up a little bit, but I suppose it's just because he wants us to be good. But when he's actually in a good mood, he makes really bad jokes. =P He also tends to pick favorites, and gives people he doesn't like a harder time. I think I'm somewhere in the middle. ^^; I think he kind of hates the tuba section though, so I'm not sure.
Then we have a couple assistant directors. The other guy is pretty cool. Like he was wearing his baseball cap backwards at band camp. xD He doesn't really say much and he's a little socially awkward, so it can be pretty amusing. He was also a trombone player in high school, which explains all of the features that they get in our shows ...
Our female assistant director is actually only there during the marching band season because she was my middle school director. She is AMAZING. <3 She was a tuba player, so of course we're her favorite section in the band. She won't admit it out loud, but it's true. She's usually always nice, but sometimes she has to be strict but it's understandable.
We also have our color guard director who directs the orchestra and one of our concert bands when marching season is over. She's the oldest one there, but she's pretty awesome. They also hired another color guard instructor this year because the guard size doubled this year, but she is not a nice lady, to put it simply. :/ Then we have two or three people that work with the percussionists, but I don't know them very well.

Our band director is great.
Our new assistant band director...not so much. It doesn't help when our main band director listens to everything the assistant band director does.

He's crazy, makes stupid analogies, and is awesome. All at once.
Of course, he's also the concert, orchestra, and jazz band director too. So we never really get away from him lol. :l
