RP turn out has been pretty low recently so I've decided to rant on it a bit.
For those of you who find an RP boring, change it. We're all in this together. Don't be relying on the Crew members all the time to make it better. Contribute to it instead of just playing along.
If you feel like RPing when no big ones are planned you don't just have to do a TRP. You can always side RP. A side RP is more like a little adventure than going out to catch a Pokemon... In fact, I don't even like the term 'Training RP'. It's not really training if you know what you're doing.
If you feel a side RP might get in the way of a main RP, do it anyway. It proves you're active and serious about this place. It can always be tied in later. Like if your Side RP is going to be more fun than a Main one, I'd participate xD.
If you want to side RP but no ones around, just do one in one post. That's what I used to do.
Most importantly, be creative. All of us are joined here to write a bitchin' story. So make it as hella awesome as you can.
And for those who are complaining about ranking up, try and do missions or RPs and be as creative as you can. We don't reward large mediocrity, we reward creativity. But if you feel you've put out enough effort and deserve a rank up, PM one of the Crew members and ask them to review your activity. We sometimes over look things do to real life or just because we're busy doing an RP.... Just don't PM me, I hate reading missions wink
Okay I'm gonna try and rant more but my ranting feeling has gone done so it may not come out as well as I wanted it to.
Okay first off I want to complain about our RPs. I know I'm currently leading one and I'm partially to blame.
I'm getting quite bored of the mediocrity going on with them. All we ever seem to do is 'go there, win, go back to HQ' no matter what happens during it it always feels the same afterwords. Just 'Yay rewards!' and that's it. Nothing special happens... During RPs it'd be great if it wasn't just follow the leader, put more effort into it... Although more description at the beginning of the RP would help make it more possible for people to do their own thing without the fear of messing things up. I'll try to do that from now on.
Now about Powers. It's been a subject I've wanted to b***h about for awhile.
Many people seem to have them with little explanation, and they have a lot. If you want a good powers, earn them. Don't just show up being able to do an assortment of crazy things, especially if it doesn't match your characters personality. Like a hyperactive character being able to teleport. It doesn't work, teleportation is a psychic ability, therefore focus should be a big thing. A calm character who acts tough, should only be able to focus in one ability.
Although over time powers should be able to increase, such abilities shouldn't be mastered over night.
Now you may be thinking "Dark, your character is really strong." And it's true. But Dark has been going for around 5 years now, and he's been a hybrid for 2 or 3. Not to mention I've had him training in countless RPs, with very strong opponents, gave him a back story of his powers, motives etc. Although I don't want to shove this down your throat or brag but I am Crew, the highest Tier available, the tier that leads the main story, has the highest authority and above all looks over the RP.
Like I said, if you're going to add something to the RP that isn't part of the world (Anime + Video games) put some effort into an explanation; like Adam and his wings. He wrote a bit of a story behind it.
Also powers should fall under the Pokemon elements, after all it's the world we're RPing in, so we should follow it's rules.
