For purposes of this thread vintage will be anything from the PS1 back.
So what's your favorite vintage gaming system and why?
Is your favorite different from the one you play most often?

My favorite is far and away the SNES. Ever since we got an NES when I was a wee lass, I've been a terrible Nintendo fangirl, so it's naturally I'd gravitate towards it. It really helps that some of the best games ever made (super mario world, chrono trigger, LOZ:A link to the past, etc) have graced that system.
However, for vintage things, I find myself playing ps1 games mostly because while our SNES is hooked up and I do play, it looks like crap on our High def LCD TV as do our other vintage games crying

I think everyone who owned an SNES prbably liked that one best smile It's my favorite.
I probably play the DS or the PC most these days, I haven't had a lot of time for sit down console gaming.

My favorite has to be the Sega Genesis. I am a long time Earthworm Jim and Toe Jam and Earl fan. I just feel at home with the Genesis controller.

I made it a point to track down another copy of it a few years ago. I've kind of got an urge to play it now.

superfudge8 sega genisis is the best because that was the one i grew up with. plus anybody remember the greatest game of 1989 Altered Beast RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE! though on the genesis it sound more like random gibberish. The game is hard, I've never been able to beat it. Though I think of it fondly.

Hoshioni SNES hands down.....almost all games are replayable gold Yes. Completely. Just today i was telling someone that my favorite handheld system is the GBA mostly because it's full of SNES ports and even the stuff than wasn't from that era often looks like it's from then. Nintendo could just go back to making cartridge games for the SNES and I'd gladly buy them.
